"I'm thinking about a change," Ethan uttered.

You looked over at where he was sitting and wondered what he meant.

"Excuse me?" you responded.

"I want a change," he restated, looking back at you.

"And what does that mean exactly? What kind of change?" you quizzed.

"Like... my hair," he admitted. This toon you by surprise. He's had the same blue hair and cute hair cut for so long, anything else would be so foreign to you.

"Oh..." you trailed off, not knowing how respond.

"I think I just want to go back to my natural hair colour," Ethan explained, running his fingers through his fading blue hair.

"Are you sure? Blue hair has been like your thing," you said.

"I'm sure. I've actually been thinking about this for a while and just never told you," he answered, "It'll be sad to see the blue hair thing go, but I'm ready to move on."

"First Mark, now you. Who's next? Jack?" you joked.

"Hopefully Jack will keep the hair colour thing alive," Ethan chuckled.

After a more joking around and you really making sure that Ethan wanted to this, he booked his appointment at the salon. A few days later you were at the salon with him and you nervously watched as the hairdresser cut and dyed his hair.

"I'm really sad," you gasped as you watched the blue disappear.

"You're more emotionally invested in this then I am. And it's my hair," Ethan laughed.

"But I love the blue so much and now it's gone," you emphasized.

After the dye had set and was being washed out, the hairdresser blow dried and styled it.

"So, what do you think?" Ethan asked, admiring himself in the mirror and smiling.

"It looks amazing. It'll take some getting used to but I actually love it a lot," you complimented.

"Oh shit, how am I supposed to break the news to my followers?"

"Wait until we go to see your family in Maine and then say I'm back to my roots."

"That's literally the worst thing I've ever heard, but I'm gonna do it anyway."
