Chapter 5

More chappie?

Seto's Point of View

I pulled my hand back from the bottle, hoping to lower their raised alarm and guard. I looked at the nervous villagers, who sent me a few shallow smiles, and then I looked back to the sorcery area. It was filled with so many resources I could use to experience with that I didn't have access to before. (Even if I could get my hands on some expensive resources, the rest of my team...I mean my ex-team, would ban them from me.) There were so many availible opportunities that I could have here if I just ignored the villagers and pressed on with personal business.

But the girl sorcerer is more important than what I want.

"Magic, huh?" I muttered softly, turning around fully to face the villagers. I walked out of the area, just so I wouldn't be tempted to touch something that could bring me off task. As I made my over to them, they parted once again but I didn't go through for the way they opened led to the exit.

Instead, I stood there just outside of the room. Many gave me curious looks while others seemed somehow fearful...I wonder why...

I slightly shook me head from the thoughts; tuning my mind to the task at hand. Figuring out more information about this...Magic.

"So," I spoke, and all the heads faced me. "The one you call 'Magic'. Who is she?"

A loud burst of murmurs and whispers exploded in the crowd. I waited for a few moments but the whispers and murmurs refused to slow or quiet. So, during this time, I took to my interest and examined the true architecture of this home.

What I said before about the place was correct. This area was very bland and not nearly cleaned and taken care of as often as the sorcery area. The walls were chipped and ruff and there was hardly any design to anything. To my left was the main sleeping area, but I couldn't see very much of it because of the amount of villagers. But from what I could see, I gathered a bed, a double chest with a torch above it. Nearby was a spare work bench and it was tightly tucked into the corner.

To my right was more of the cooking area, but even that area barely had anything more than the sleeping quarters. There was a furnace, another workbench and a small chest. But what had caught my attention was a small book, enchanted, inside the chest. How I know is because the corner of the book was stuck under the cover of the chest. (The chest was closed but it closed on the corner of the book, which was seeable outside of the chest.)

But there were some peculiar things lying around. I could see bits and pieces from broken things, specifically a couch and a furnace. I paid little attention to them, for they seemed to be of little significance.

Then behind me is the sorcery area, which I'm trying my hardest not to return to until all this is over, and in front of a little distance away was the exit and only entryway. Not exactly a smart idea for a sorcerer but then again, she probably thought no one would ever find it anyway. If it wasn't for the fact that I could smell her, then I would've never found this place.

Finally, my answer to my earlier question stepped forward. "I know who Magic is. If you want answers, you'll want to speak to me." He spoke bravely and with confidence, as if he was facing a large enemy. I chuckled a bit at the thought, for I was anything but an enemy. I just wanted to find this girl sorcerer.

I calmly walked over to the villager who shooed the other villagers away and pulled me into the corner, specifically the sleeping headquarters.

I sat on the bed; gesturing to the empty area next to me. But the villager stood standing, probably not feeling comfortable around me. 'Whatever suits him...' I thought.

"So who is this 'Magic' girl?" I asked and for a while the villager hesitated. I raised an eyebrow at him, wondering what's taking him so long to answer. "Well?"

"First yeah," He spoke all business-like, just like all villagers who traded. "I want to know why you need to know so much about Magic, yeah."

Now it was my turn to hesitate. "Well..." I said. 'What's the harm in telling this villager? I mean, he probably knows that Magic is a sorcerer...'

"I'm looking for another sorcerer and I found Magic."
