The Attacks

"Which village is closest?" I asked Jerome as we drove down the road.

He thought for a moment before answering.

"The Skyrune Kingdom. Adam's home."

"That sounds like it would be made in the sky," I said, chuckling.

"It is," Jerome said, grinning.

"Really?" I asked. He nodded.

We kept driving until we reached a parking lot. We parked and looked around.

"Where do we go now?" I asked.

Jerome led me towards a small glass tube with a strange green block on the ground.

"If you step on that block, you will be launched all the way to the Skyrune Kingdom," said Jerome. I urged me into the tube and I stepped on the block.

It shot me from the ground all the way to a kingdom in the sky. It was mostly made of gold and quartz and was one of the most beautiful places I had ever seen.

"Come on, Adam's house is this way," Jerome said from behind me. I followed him through the kingdom and towards Adam's house.

I soon saw him talking with his Mom in the doorway.

"Mom, please leave. I don't want you to get killed," he pleaded. His mom was shaking her head.

"I'm not leaving Skyrune. It's been our home your entire life."

"There are people coming and they're going to destroy everything! Please, take the family and leave!" Adam begged.

Jerome and I ran to where Adam was standing and stood beside him.

"Hey guys," he said, his voice sad.

"Mrs. Dahlberg, please listen to him. My jungle was destroyed by the men he's talking about. This place isn't safe," Jerome said.

Adam's mom sighed and leaned on the doorframe.

"Fine, but if this is some cruel joke, you're going to be in a lot of trouble, Adam," she said. She turned and began getting ready to leave.

"Thanks Jerome," Adam said, turning to us.

"You're welcome," Jerome replied.

"Why are you guys here?" Adam asked. "I thought you were going to stay in the jungle."

"No, we decided to go around to the different villages and find you guys," I said.

Adam nodded.

"Let's get going before those men come."

Mitch's POV (yay!)

---------------------

I ran through my village towards my house. The village is in a snow biome, of course, but it doesn't always snow there.

The snow was falling at that time, though and I had to run against the wind.

"Mom! Dad!" I called when I opened the door to my house.

"Mitch! You're home!" my mom said, coming out of the kitchen.

"Yeah. I need to warn you about something, though. There is a group of people that is going around, destroying the villages that Team Crafted grew up in and I need you to leave and get somewhere safe before they get to our village," I explained.

My dad nodded and sighed.

"I know. We were messaged by the Aceti's and they told us about their village being destroyed."

I looked down at my feet and kicked the freshly fallen snow.

"Please leave before they attack the village. I don't need you guys getting hurt or killed," I said.

"We will. You're the one that needs to stay safe," Mom said. She hugged me. "Please don't get yourself killed."

I nodded.

"I won't."

My eyes then widened in realization. They didn't know that I had become a hybrid. They didn't know about any of us or what had happened.

They didn't even know about Josie.

"Um, Mom? Dad? I have to tell you about something," I said. "While me and the guys were still in the city, we found one of our siblings."

"Who?!" Mom asked in surprise. My dad just stood there in shock.

"Her name is Josie. We were called one day and told that she was our sister," I explained.

"That's awesome, Mitch," said Dad.

I decided not to tell them about my hybrid side and spare them the worry, so I just grinned and stepped past them to go inside.

"Kaleigh! Connor!" I called. They both came down the stairs and hugged me.

"Mitch!" Connor said, grinning.

"Hey bud," I said, ruffling his hair.

"Why did you come back? I thought you were staying in the city until the summer break," Kaleigh said.

"Mom and Dad will explain later. I just came inside to say hello and goodbye," I said. Connor's face fell.

"Why can't you stay?" he asked.

"Team Crafted needs me," I said. I waved goodbye to my family and stepped outside.

I looked into the woods and began walking when I saw an army approaching with weapons.

Oh no.

I turned and sprinted back to my house, where my family still stood in the living room.

"Run into the woods now! Don't grab anything but your weapons!" I yelled.

"Why? What's happening?" asked Dad.

I looked at them gravely.

"They're here."

My family grabbed their weapons and we ran into the woods away from the village. We saw some of the houses go up in flames and people were screaming.

"Run and don't stop until you reach safety," I said, ushering them away. Mom hugged me and looked at me.

"Please be safe. I love you."

With that, my family ran into the woods and disappeared.

I turned towards the village and pulled out my diamond sword.

They were going to get it, Canadian style.

Adam's POV

---------------------

"We need to go to Mitch's village and get him back with us," Jerome said. I nodded.

"Hang on." I grabbed his and Josie's hands and we teleported to Mitch's village.

When we got there, it was swarmed with soldiers. Houses were burning and people were screaming. I saw Mitch fighting in the middle of a crowd.

Josie turned into a wolf and ran into the crowd towards Mitch. Jerome pulled out his axe and ran after her.

I shifted into Skybrine mode and sped after them.

"Mitch, come on!" I yelled as I punched a soldier that was trying to attack me.

He looked at me in surprise.

"When did you get here?" he asked.

"Just now! Come on, we need to get out of here!" Josie yelled.

I grabbed Mitch's hand and Josie held onto my arm. Jerome grabbed Mitch's hand and we teleported back to the van, which was still in the parking lot underneath Skyrune.

"Where are you?" we heard a voice say in our heads.

"Who is this?" Jerome asked in his head, but we all heard.

I thought I was going crazy.

"This is Seto. I've been working on telepathy magic for some time and now is a good time to test it. Now, where are you? We need to teleport," he said.

"We're in the parking space underneath Skyrune. Hurry up, Mitch's village was just attacked," Josie said.

In the blink of an eye, Ty and Seto were right next to us.

"I think they have two armies going around at once. Our village is being attacked as we speak," Seto said.

Mitch sighed and leaned against the van.

"Who's village do we go to next?"

We stood in silence for a moment, thinking about what to do when we heard the sound of a jetpack above us. We looked up and saw Jason land gently on the ground.

"Hey. I saw Mitch's village being attacked as I flew back here, so I came as fast as possible," he said.

"Hi Jason," I said.

"Let's go to Ian's village. Quentin's village is close to Ian's, so we can make two stops at once," Ty said.

"Okay, let's go," Seto said.

We climbed into the van and started driving. I watched my home disappear into the horizon and I worried about my family. Would they get out before an army came and trapped them inside?

All I could do was hope that they would be okay.
