“Why don’t you move in with me?”

“Harry it’s okay I-“

“No, I want you to.” He pressed. “But I mean, you don’t have to.”

I looked down again, pressing my lips into a line as I thought about this.

It would be a big step in the relationship, a very big step. But I felt as though Harry had only asked me because I had said I didn’t like being alone, which made me feel guilty.

“You want me to?”

“I would like for you to.”

I took a deep breath, my sights still aiming downwards at my bowl of hardy touched food.

If I was to move in with Harry that would mean I would have to sell mine and Alyssa- my home. And then move all my stuff in here, including my dog. But it made my heart flutter at the thought of Harry wanting to be with me, a part of me felt like this was such a big, but much needed step in our relationship. And with that one true feeling, I made my decision.

“Okay.” I said looking up.

“Seriously?” He smiled.

I nodded my head and held back a smile, slightly smirking at Harry.

Harry got up from his seat and walked over to my side. I turned to face him and he bent his knees and kissed my lips numerous times. I smiled at his actions, forcing him to move to different sections of my face.

“Stop.” I giggled.

Harry pulled back, and held my face in his hands placing one final kiss to my lips before going back to his seat at the table, and we both continued to eat our food.

Once we finished, we placed our plates in the dishwasher, along with all the other things we managed to get dirty, and then went into Harry’s living room. I sat on the couch as he walked over and lit the fire place, then coming back towards me. He grabbed the blanket at the end of the couch, wrapping it around us as we sat and watched the wood burn and spark in front of us.

“In order for you to move in, I have one exception.” Harry stated

“And what’s that?”

“You need to bring Champ back.”

“Harry he’s big.” I said looking over at him.

“Yeah but you need to understand something, I won’t always be here, and when I’m not here I don’t want to have all my trust put into the alarm system.” He started. “You had him trained to protect you, do you remember how long it was before he let me just walk into your house?”

I smiled as I remembered the memories. How my dog had always been extremely over protective after my father and I had trained him to do so. He hated Harry, not allowing him to come into the house unless I physically let him in myself.

“Is that what you want?”

“Yes.”

“Once I’m settled I’ll bring him back.” I nodded.

“Great.” Harry smiled. “So, tell me things.” He said as he shifted to face me.

“Things like what?”

“When do you go on tour?”

“I don’t know.” I sighed. “I don’t really want to go.”

“Why not?” He furrowed his eyebrows at me.

“I’ll get home sick.”

“I’ll go with you until you’re used to it.”

I looked down at the ground, finding Ruffles trying to get up with us. I scooped him up and placed him between Harry and I, stroking his fur as I tried to rid the thoughts of travelling from my head.

“I just-“I drew in a breath, shaking my head. “I don’t know.”

“It’s always hard your first time.” Harry softly spoke. “It gets better though, you get to see so many things.”

“Can we talk about this another time?” I quietly asked.

Harry nodded and leaned over to kiss my head.

I leaned my head on his shoulder, still watching the dog in my lap as he aimlessly looked around the room, and at Harry and I. I pet his ears down as harry rubbed his back.

“What are we doing tomorrow?” Harry asked.

“I wanted to go see Alyssa in the hospital for a bit, can you take Louis out or something so I can be alone with her?”

Harry nodded and kissed my cheek, then shifted and laid his head in my lap. I looked down at him and smiled as his loving nature. There was always something about Harry that put me at peace, something about the way he looked at me, or how when he smiled I instantly mimicked him. It was every inch of him that made me feel a sense of safety, a sense of love.

Harry pouted up at me, tired eyes falling into a squint.

My hands found their way to his cheek, rubbing lightly at his cheek bones, and over his eye lashes. I leaned down to Harry’s face, acting as though I was about to kiss him. He leaned up slightly and I pulled back, and then went back down. I did this two times until Harry grew tired of my teasing and pulled my face down to his, planting a soft kiss on my lips.

“Such a tease.” He shook his head as I pulled away.

I smiled down at him, and he took my hand in his, bringing it up to his lips and placing delicate kisses on the top.

I pulled his phone off his lap and checked the time, it now being 12:00.

“Can we go to sleep now?”

He nodded and sat up, pulling the blanket off me as he did so.

I stood up and picked Ruffles up off the floor, and turning back to Harry.

“He’s not coming in my bed.” Harry shook his head.

“Harryyyy.” I pouted. “Please, just tonight?”

“No.”

“Please?”

Harry looked at the dog, and then back to me.

“Please?” I repeated.

“Fine.” He sighed as he placed his hand on my back and lead me to the stairs.

He turned off the lights as we went up the stairs and into Harry’s bedroom. I placed ruffles on the bed as I went into Harry’s closet and got one of his sweaters, stripping off into my underwear and putting it on top.

I walked out and found Harry sitting on the bed. I walked to my side and sat with the sheets on my legs.

“Um,” I started, and Harry looked up. “About the moving thing.”

“What about it?”

“When do I start packing and all that?”

“Louis told me Alyssa is moving within the week.”

My stomach dropped. Although I expected it, I was still hoping that it wasn’t true, I had convinced myself that she would stay longer.

“Should I call the realtor tomorrow then?”

“Whenever you feel like moving in, that’s when you should call. But right now we should sleep because you are worrying far too much.”

“Okay.” I softly answered as I got under the sheets.

Harry also got under with me, kissing my temple and then my lips.

“I love you.” He whispered into my hair as he buried his head into my neck.

My arms went around him, and his did the same to me.

“I love you.”

I woke up far too early, tossing and turning in hopes of falling back to asleep. I finally gave up and propped myself up on the bed, looking over at Harry’s night stand to check the time.

7:00

I groaned and went back down under the sheets, grabbing my phone and going on twitter. I wrapped the sheets around me tightly, and curled my legs up to my chest. Soft snores escaped Harry’s lips as he remained asleep beside me. I turned to face Harry as I watched him sleep, in a non-creepy way.

It was a sight I truly loved waking up to. It was something about the way his hair draped over his forehead, or how his swollen lips slightly parted.

It was the little things like this that made me fall even deeper in love with Harry, as if it were even possible.

I remained in bed for three more hours, aimlessly scrolling through twitter and installing games onto my phone. Harry woke up and rubbed his eyes, and then looked over at me.

“Good morning.” He greeted.

His morning voice was thick with sleep, creating a rasp that made my heart flutter.

“Hi.” I smiled.

“How long have you been up?”

“Almost 3 hours.”

“I think it’s time we got up.” Harry said as she sat up.

He tipped back down, landing on my stomach and wrapping his arms around me again. I smiled and shook my head at him before placing my phone back on the night stand. I rubbed his back before slightly pushing him off of me.

“Come on get up.” I poked at his sides.

Harry groaned as he sat back up and slid off the bed, walking over to where I was. I went around him and went straight for the door. Harry ran up behind me and grabbed my waist, turning me around and pecking my lips quickly, and then picking me up.

“Why do you always need to pick me up?” I asked as I rested my head on his shoulder.

“You walk too fast.” He answered.

We had made our breakfast, and had gotten dressed within the hour, which was pretty impressive. I got dressed in the jeans I packed, and one of Harry’s sweaters again, paired with my combat boots. We had fed Ruffles, after harry had forced me to go out to the car and get all the things we picked up for Ruffles the night before, in only my underwear and Harry’s sweater.

He found it quite amusing.

Soon enough we were out the door and on our way back to the hospital. Harry had informed Louis on our plan, and Louis actually agreed to go with Harry for an hour or so, which I was extremely grateful for.

It was something about the way that Alyssa was recently acting that put me on edge. I continuously told myself that it was just because of her pregnancy, but I had noticed that parts of her were reminding me of Louis. Strange enough the remarks she had used against me were things I would expect to pass Louis’ lips. Although this was a side issue, it wasn’t stopping me from being excited to see her, to finally be completely alone with her, without Louis constantly commenting on everything I was saying. I felt like when Louis was around, I was unwanted. And it was such a foreign feeling that I did everything in my power to avoid such contact.

Harry told me that it wasn’t anything to worry about, and it was by his words that I was going by.

We finally pulled up to the hospital, and found a parking spot very easily. I quickly got out, waiting at the back of the car for Harry.

“See,” Harry motioned his hands at me. “Too fast.”

I smiled at him and shook my head before reaching my hand out for his. We walked in hand in hand, and went directly to the elevator, and up to room 305. The blinds were fully opened in her room, and Louis still sat by her side.

At least he was there with her; I had to give him some credit.

“Hello.” Harry said as we walked inside.

“Hey.” They both smiled at us.

Instantly, without a single word being directed to me I felt tension, unwanted tension.

“Do you want to go now?” Harry asked Louis.

He looked over at Alyssa, and then nodded at Harry. Getting up from his seat and kissing Alyssa quickly, we walked over to us. I let go of Harry’s hand and went to the chair where Louis once sat.

Harry came to be and kissed my cheek, and then the two were gone.

“How are you?” I asked as I crossed my legs under me.

“Horrible, I hate it here.”

“I know, so do I.” I sighed. “I’d hate to stay in here.”

“Have you figured out what you’re going to do when I move?”

I looked down at my legs, and then back up at Alyssa.

“I’m moving in with Harry.”

She cocked her head to the side, giving me a confused look.

“Wow now you’re moving fast aren’t you.”

I slightly laughed at her remark.

“I’m moving fast?”

“Well yeah, it’s been 10 months and you’re already moving in with him.”

“You were with Louis for 4 months before you got pregnant, don’t talk to me about moving fast.”

“We’re talking about you not me.”

“But it’s almost the same thing.” I quietly answered. “You’ve been with Louis almost as long as I’ve been with Harry and you’re moving in with him.”

“Why are you moving in with him anyways?”

“Alyssa I can’t hold down that house by myself.”

“Seriously Amy?” Alyssa scoffed. “You’re rich, what are you saying?”

“I just-“

“You’re so irritating.” She shook her head.

“Oh.”

“Harry has changed you.” She blurted out.

I stayed silent and looked back down as she continued her rant.

“I can almost guarantee that he’s using you, Amelia. Once he’s done with you he’s probably going to jump to some other girl, maybe even a famous girl and he’ll have double the money. That’s all he really wants, is your mon-“

“Shut up oh my god!”

Alyssa’s eyes widened with my sudden outburst.

“You don’t know him why are you saying all of this?”

“Because I know what he’s capable of. Maybe it’s you who doesn’t know him.” She bit back.

I knew all of this would happen sooner or later. She was becoming more and more like Louis as if he had told her all of these lies, and had made her say so many horrible things to me about Harry and myself. The one true thing I wanted right now was the Alyssa I had known for so many years. The one who would do such crazy uncalled for things and not have an ounce of shame. I wanted the one who would listen to my problems, and give me advice that was actually helpful, I wanted the one I had grown to know and love through the years. I wanted Alyssa back.

“I think its best that I leave.” I said getting up from my seat.

“Leave and go back to that ‘boyfriend’ of yours?”

“Listen I don’t know what your problem is and I really don’t know what it is you have against Harry. But I have a problem with how you’re treating me. If you want to talk to me you have my number and you’re free to call or text me, but until you’re done with insulting me and the person I care for, then I don’t want to talk to you, I don’t want to see you, I don’t even want to hear your name because as of now I am disgusted with you.” I began to tear up.

Alyssa didn’t reply. And with that I made my exit to the elevator. I got on my phone and quickly called for a taxi, as Harry had taken his car when he left with Louis, and told them where I was. Luckily the drive from here to my house was only about 10 minutes, so I wouldn’t have to hold in my emotions for long.

I got down to the main level, and walked towards the door waiting for my taxi. In the mean time I called Harry.

“Hello, love.” He answered.

“Hey,” I smiled. “I um, I have to go do something quickly, so when you’re done with Louis you can go back to your house and I’ll meet you there.”

“Where are you going?”

Shit.

“I’m just going to get some things from my management… might take a while.”

“Alright. Call me when you’re coming back to my house.”

“Okay.”

“I love you.”

“Love you.”

And with that I hung up. I wasn’t completely ready to tell Harry about the fight, only because of what was said about him, and how badly it had impacted me.

The taxi pulled up, and I sped out the door, climbing into the back seat and telling the driver my home address. I kept myself busy the whole way back, playing games on my phone until I had got back to my house.

I handed the driver more than I was meant to pay, but insisted that they keep the change.

I got out quickly and dug through my bag in search of my house key. Once I finally found it I bursted through the door, slamming it harshly behind me.

I kicked off my shoes, and put them in the closet. Once I brought my head back up I realized the boxes.

Piled on top of each other were boxes filled with Alyssa’s stuff.

Out of all the things that I thought had fully convinced me she was leaving; none had hit me as hard as this. Seeing her boxes filled with the things that were once a part of our home made me completely break down. Tears rolled down my cheeks as I walked to the stairs, finding it too hard to take a second look at them.

I basically dragged myself up the stairs, going into my bed room.

My bed was still unmade, exactly how I had left it. Everything was untouched, and it was probably the only room she hadn’t gone into to pack one of her belongings.

I found relief in it.

I calmed down slightly; my tears had slowed as I wrapped myself in my thick blankets. I had to stop all thoughts of Alyssa from creeping into my mind again, knowing they would bring nothing more than tears.
