[hello angels! i hope you had a good time for new years :) im sorry it took so long to update, but i made sure to make it very cute and long. enjoy!! thank you for 1.8k ily so much xxxxxxxxx ]
I woke up the next morning with Amy curled in my arms. Her left hand covered her face as she lay on my shoulder, giving me the most beautiful view of her new ring. The chunky diamond sat tightly on her small finger, giving me a sense of unconditional love for her as I looked at it longer. It showed that she was mine, that I was hers.
I had planned to do this about three months back, saying I would do it when we were in Australia for our 1 year anniversary in Febuary. I spoke with my mum, Robin, and Gemma, as well as Amy’s mother. I got her blessing as I nervously called her from the tour bus, unable to stop and meet her personally. Robin came with me to choose the ring, after my mum and Gemma insisted on pitching ideas for designs. After I came home with the ring Gemma had said she wanted me to get, she seemed slightly more excited about the event.
I couldn’t risk leaving the ring around the house, Amy had moved in and everything was being opened and moved around. I placed it in the dresser at my mum’s house, feeling it would be safest if it was kept there. Although it was a three hour drive from our home, I had to find some way to keep Amy distracted so I had time to drive and get it and make it back in time.
I had told her that I had to help my mum with painting, to which Amy offered her help. I insisted that she stay home and that I would be back as soon as possible, causing her to be upset with me.
I believe that after I proposed to her that all anger would be lost.
She shifted slightly as I wrapped my arm around her back, going between her hands and kissing her nose. She pulled back, eyes still closed as she turned her back to me, pulling the blankets up to cover her face as she slipped out of my grasp. It was clear that Amy was not a morning person, and I don’t think she ever would be.
I came in close behind her, her back molded to my front as I held her again, kissing her exposed neck.
“Harry stop.” Her raspy morning voice weakly spoke.
I continued as a perched myself up onto my elbow, going to her jaw as I left soft kisses up the line leading to her lips.
“It’s like 7:00 let me sleep.”
“It’s noon.” I casually replied.
Amy immediately shot up, wiping her eyes before opening them to look at the clock. She glared at me once she noticed the time was only 11:00, slapping my bare chest as she fell back onto the bed.
She lay in only her bra and tights. I remembered that night she complained of the bed being too hot, resulting in her throwing off her sweater. She looked like a goddess as her hair draped over the pillow, her collar bones holding up the necklace that her nana had given her a short time ago. It had amazed me how thin Amy was. She ate almost as much as me, and never gained a single pound.
She complained about her body most days. Standing in front of the mirror as she turned every which way to be fully aware of all her ‘imperfections’ which she claimed were there, but I couldn’t see them. It was a beautiful body. The deep dip on the side of her torso, flowing up to her hip and falling to her legs happened to be my favourite feature. I was proud to say that all of her was mine, that I was the only one to ever see her in all her glory.
The tattoo on her rib cage sat right below the strap of her bra, being my favourite of the two she had on her body. The tattoo on her arm often went hidden, the scars on the opposite arm causing her to fully cover herself. The public was completely understanding of her struggle, but she still seemed to believe they were a disgusting part of her, but she’d rather not speak of it.
Amy pulled the duvet up to cover her shivering legs, hands going back up to cover her eyes.
I went and straddled her hips, pulling her arms down and kissing her lips.
“I’m hungry.” I pouted at her.
“Me too.” She agreed as she wiped over my eyebrows.
I got off her, picking up my sweat pants off the floor and putting them back on. Arm threw her legs over the edge of the bed, bringing her arms up in a stretch before standing up and picking up her sweater and then putting it on.
She walked over to me, poking my butterfly tattoo before she walked out the door and down the stairs. I watched her leave, smirking as she avoided eye contact with me on her way down, smiling towards the ground as she left.
I followed behind, meeting her in the kitchen. She knelt down as she filled Ruffles’ food bowl, then going to the back door and letting him out. She turned back to me, skipping towards me as she engulfed me in a hug.
“I love you I love you.” She repeated as she rested her chin on my chest, looking up at me.
“I love you.” I smiled as I kissed her quickly.
“Can we make cupcakes?”
“No.” I shook my head.
Her grip only became tighter as she pouted up at me, and her begging began.
“Come on Harry, please?”
“No.” I repeated.
“Please!” She batted her eyes up at me. “Please Harry, please please.” She kissed my neck.
“Amy-“
“Harry.” She mumbled.
“Fine.”
I always seemed to cave into her begging, constantly wanting to please her.
“Yay!” She jumped as she shuffled towards the cupboard, taking out the box of cup cake mix, and a bowl.
“We need eggs, oil, water and butter.” She tapped the box.
I grabbed the supplies, laying them out on the counter for us to begin. She ripped open the box, scrunching her nose as she applied all her strength to the task.
“This isn’t healthy.” I shook my head as she poured the pounder in the bowl, throwing out the bag.
“Could you stop that?”
“Stop what?”
“Don’t act like you aren’t excited about this.”
“I’m not.” I lied.
“Then I’ll force you to watch me eat all 12 of them once they’re finished.” She shrugged as she got the water and oil.
I cracked the eggs into the bowl, taking a block of butter and putting it in as well.
“I’m so excited.” I cheerfully spoke.
Amy just shook her head as she began to stir the mix. I started the oven, setting it to the required temperature before I walked back to Amy.
“Can you get the little pans?”
I nodded, walking back to get the cup cake pan before setting it down for her. She buttered the little bowls before she held the bowl for me to fill up the cups. She occasionally stuck her finger in, tasting the batter as I scooped it out. I called her out, saying she was contaminating the batter, to which she replied she was ‘checking if it was any good’ ‘so we wouldn’t die’.
I finished filling all the cups; some batter was still left over in the bowl. I stuck my finger in, wiping the batter down her nose and along her cheeks. Her mouth fell open at she gasped as me, sticking her whole hand into the bowl and slapping it on my bare chest.
Feeling proud, Amy took the pan and placed it into the oven. Swiftly closing the door and turning back to me, hands resting on her hips as her mouth turned into a small smirk.
“Come here.” I held my arms out to her.
She shook her head as she backed up, going to the opposite side of the island, avoiding my messy contact. She giggled as I chased her around the kitchen, finally catching her as she made a break for the stairs, slipping on the first step. I grabbed her from behind, now getting the batter on her sweater. She wiggled in my grasp, still laughing as I carried her back to the kitchen.
“This stuff smells disgusting, Amelia.”
“Now it’s on my sweater.” She groaned. “This one is my favourite.”
“I guess you’ll have to take it off.” I smirked. “You know- so it doesn’t stain or anything.”
Without questions Amy lifted her sweater over her head, taking it to her face and wiping off the batter before striding to the laundry room to throw it in the wash. I watched her as she walked away, turning down the wide hallway. I knew she noticed as I watched her leave, she knew what she did to me. I kept an eye on the cupcakes, distracting myself from Amy’s indirect torture, watching them rise in their hot confines.
Amy walked back in, her face aiming down to her phone as she walked to the back door, opening it to let Ruffles back inside. She still wore only her bra and tights, being completely comfortable with doing so. She looked up at me as I leaned on the oven, smiling as she walked over to the island, propping herself up as she looked back down at her phone.
“Niall just texted me.” She said looking up at me. “He said everyone’s going out for dinner, and if we wanted to join.”
I walked over to her, looking at the text message myself. Amy swung her legs slightly as I took her phone off her, placing her hands on her thighs as she awaited my response.
“Want to go?”
Amy nodded her head, holding back a smile as she sat up straight.
“He said it’s a fancy place, we need to make an effort tonight.”
“I was thinking we could just go like this.” She motioned to our shirtless tops.
I chuckled as I gave her back her phone. I stood in between her legs, admiring her from my taller height. I still couldn’t believe how incredibly lucky I was to have her.
It often amazed me how care free Amy really was. My point was proven as she sat in nothing but her bra and tights; although it may be because it was just us two, but I could almost guarantee she would do it anywhere else as well.
Amy leaned up and kissed my chin, then bringing her face to my neck and holding me closer. The oven beeped, which meant the cupcakes were finished. I went to back out of her grasp, but she only held me tighter.
“They’re going to burn.” I warned as I kissed the top of her head.
Amy groaned as she released me, and I went to the drawer to get the oven mits. She watched as I retrieved the pan, placing it on the stove top to cool. She jumped off the island, coming beside me to look at the cupcakes.
“Can we just eat them now?” She poked the top of a cupcake.
“They’re still hot.”
She looked up at me before going to the pan, grasping one small cup cake and pulling it out of its cup. She placed it in the palm of her hand as she took a piece off the top, holding it up to my mouth
“Try it.”
I opened my mouth and the top was shoved in, causing Amy to giggle at my response. I chewed quickly, the cupcake still being too hot, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
“It’s hot.” I rushed.
Amy scrunched her nose at she laughed, making my heart flutter. A manly flutter.
She ate the bottom, nodding as she appreciated our work.
“When should we start getting ready?” She asked as she shoved another cupcake in her mouth.
“Around two.”
“I still need to shower.” She sighed. “Maybe I should do that now then.”
“I’m coming.”
“No you’re not.” She shook her head.
“Why not? It’s so much more efficient.” I pointed out. “It’s like bonding time.”
“We wouldn’t even need to shower if you didn’t get me all dirty.”
We…
“So that means I can join?”
Amy smirked as she tilted her head to the side, covering her face as she blushed at my request.
“Fine.” She caved.
She walked towards the garbage, throwing away her napkin before motioning for me to follow her upstairs. I allowed her to go first so I could finish my cup cake, and then hurried up to our room. The bathroom door was open, the light flooding out onto the floor. I walked in to find Amy brushing her hair, now in only her bra and under wear. I shut the door behind me as I walked towards the shower, adjusting the temperature before fully turning it on. Amy turned towards me, she still looked tense. I walked towards her, rubbing up and down her arms before leaning down and kissing her lips.
“We’re only showering, nothing else will happen in there.” I promised.
This seemed to calm her slightly.
We both undressed casually before I let Amy in first. I followed close behind as the steamy air welcomed us both. This is one thing I loved about the relationship I had with Amy; the fact that we could do things like this, and allow it to be completely casual. There was no sex, even though we were dangerously close to one another, and all we did was laugh and admire each other.
That’s what I loved.
AMY’S P.O.V
I was extremely nervous for a shower experience with Harry, expecting something sexual to come up, which I wasn’t completely okay with. But what I expected and what I got were two completely different things. It was amazing how Harry and I could take a seemingly sexual situation and make it the complete opposite. We washed each other’s hair, Harry occasionally telling jokes- one of which caused me to get soap in my eye.
We were complete fools.
We got out, Harry wrapping a towel around me, as well as himself as we walked back into our room. It was decided that we would wear our onesies until it was time for us to change into our fancy clothing, which I was perfectly okay with.
Harry walked out of the closet after he got dressed, leaving me to decide which dress I wanted to wear.
I was torn between two of my formal dresses, both being long. I took them off the rack and walked out, holding them up to Harry. He didn’t take notice, being distracted by the laptop in his lap.
“Harry.” I called.
His head popped up over the screen of the laptop, closing it slightly to look at the dresses I held in my hands.
“Help.”
He placed the laptop beside him as he sat up, motioning for me to come closer to him. I went to the end of the bed, still holding up the dresses.
“I like that blue one.” He pointed. “Let me see the back.”
I flipped it around, and Harry nodded at me. “That one.”
I nodded in response, handing it on one of the wall hooks before I placed the other dress back into the closet. It was now 1:00, and we were meant to get ready in an hour. It surprised me how long we actually took to get dressed and ready. When I attended the Brit awards with Harry, it took us nearly 3 hours to fully prepare ourselves.
I got my phone off the dresser before I went downstairs and got Ruffles. While Harry and I were gone, Alyssa and Louis had gotten him shaved, and I couldn’t say I hated it. At least now you could see his face, which made him even cuter.
I brought him upstairs and onto the bed with Harry and I. It was only two more days until Champ was coming to live with us again, and I was extremely excited about that. I sat at the end of the bed, playing with Ruffles as Harry sat on his computer, occasionally looking over at us.
I lay down with Ruffles at the end of the bed. He came and curled into a ball beside my shoulder, snuggling closer to me for protection. I didn’t mean to, but I fell asleep.
Harry shook at my shoulder as Ruffles growled at him from beside me. I woke up and looked up at Harry, completely forgetting that we were meant to get ready to go out. It was now 2:30, which meant I was asleep for an hour and a half, but I was fully rested now.
“What suit do I wear?”
I got off the bed, skipping my way into the closet with Harry following behind. I went to Harry’s wall of the closet, searching through his suits until I found my favourite one. It was a grey Calvin Klein suit, which I honestly adored on Harry. I pulled it out, handing it to him as I went to choose a blue tie to match my dress and sent him on his way.
I stepped out of the closet, stripping out of my onesie and sliding on my dress. I walked to Harry who was doing his hair in the bathroom, and asked him to zip if the back. He came up behind me, pushing my hair onto my shoulder as he zipped up the zipper, finishing off with a kiss to my neck.
I turned around and pulled him by the nape of his neck to kiss his lips. The kiss became more heated than I expected; Harry licked my bottom lip for entrance, and I complied with his request. Harry gripped my hips and I lightly tugged at his hair, causing a moan to escape his parted lips. I bit his lower lip, slightly pulling back before releasing and planting another kiss to his lips.
As much as I wanted to, we didn’t have time for these things right now.
Harry pouted at me as I pulled away, my hands falling to the sides of his neck.
“Don’t pout.” I shook my head. “You’ll get wrinkles.”
I leaned up and kissed the wrinkles on Harry’s forehead, then kissing his lips one last time. Harry smirked at me, saying that I was teasing him. I shrugged as I walked to the drawer, taking out my straightener and plugging it in. We had double sinks in the bathroom, which meant Harry could do his thing and I could do mine.
I got onto the counter, turning and sitting in the sink as I parted my hair to straighten it. Harry turned and gave me a confused look.
“Why are you in the sink?”
“So I can get a better look.” I shrugged. “It’s more comfortable.”
Harry only shook his head, deciding against asking anymore questions and continuing with his hair. I often glanced at Harry in the mirror, watching his effortless beauty as he concentrated on his hair.
I quickly moved onto my make-up. I applied a generous amount of foundation, along with eye liner and a deep red lip stick. I was all finished faster than I had expected, but I was ready just on time for us to leave. I unplugged my straightener and slid off the counter, meeting Harry in the bedroom where he was putting on his watch. I went into the closet and got my black pump heels and walked out, now nearing Harry’s height, and put on my necklace and watch.
“You should take a jacket.”
“It isn’t that cold, is it?” I asked in disbelief.
“We’re expecting snow tonight.” He nodded.
I groaned as I walked back into the closet, pulling out my warm coat and putting it on. I walked out again, and Harry was now putting on his coat as well. He stuck out his hand after he buttoned up his coat, and I placed my hand in his. I was often reluctant to leave Ruffles alone; scared he would stain the carpets or break something mostly. But I also didn’t like leaving because I was afraid of someone breaking in, as it was a very large home. Harry had insisted no one would come in, and if they did, the alarms would go off and the police would come. But that didn’t put me at ease.
I stopped thinking of such stupid things when Harry and I got outside. He was right to say that I should bring a jacket, as it was actually very cold tonight. My legs shivered as I waited for Harry to lock the door. He took my hand in his again as we walked down the steps and went towards the car. Cars were still parked on the curb, two men stepping out to take photos of us. Harry waved as he opened the door for me, and I quickly got in to avoid any further contact.
Harry jogged around the front to get in his side. Quickly sliding in, he slammed the door behind him, and started the car. The heat immediately came on and I pressed my hands up to the vent, shivering still from the cold outside.
Harry was quick to pull out of the driveway, speeding down the road until we got to the stop sign.
“Is this place close?” I asked as Harry placed his hand in mine again.
“Just 10 minutes away.” He nodded.
“And do the boys know about the engagement?”
“Yes, but their girlfriends don’t.”
“Who’s going?”
“Alyssa, Sophia and Perrie.” He said.
I was thankful that Alyssa was coming, as I didn’t really socialize with the other girls. The thought of seeing her again made me have butterflies in my stomach, even though I had seen her a day before, it always excited me when I got to be with her.
I always looked out the window when Harry drove. It was something I was always so fascinated by, the change of scenery always brought me a sense of peace. Although, the scenery in the city didn’t change very much, looking at all the people, the street lights and establishments did the same thing for me. Harry didn’t understand when I told him why I always looked out the window, even after numerous times of explaining he couldn’t grasp it.
Harry pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant, finding the closest spot. Crowds were outside the front door, people knew we were here. We both got out at the same time, meeting behind the car as we held hands again, and we walked to the restaurant. As soon as we hit the path up to the doors lights began to flash and the yelling began. We smiled and waved as we walked up to the doors, hurrying in once we had the door open.
We went to the front desk and Harry said that we were part of the reservations. After a list check, the hostess led us to the table where Louis, Liam, Sophia and Niall were already sitting. I shrugged off my jacket before we reached the table. Once we got there everyone immediately got up, hugging us before we took out seats in the booth. I placed my jacked beneath me as I sat on the end seat with Harry beside me. I avoided gaze with Sophia, still feeling a bit awkward since I hadn’t met her before, but I was sure she was a nice girl. It was quiet as everyone looked at us, so I broke the ice.
“Where’s Alyssa?” Louis tensed at the question.
“She didn’t want to come.” He immediately replied.
“I thought she-“
“She didn’t want to come.” He repeated.
I opened my mouth but shut it again, not wanting to go any further with him. As Harry spoke with the boys I took out my phone, texting Alyssa and asking why she didn’t come.
I put my phone down on the table as I awaited her text back. I slightly leaned on Harry as I peered down at it, getting more anxious at the seconds passed.
Instead of receiving a text back, I got a phone call. Alyssa’s name flashed on my screen as my ring tone sang, making the table go silent. Harry looked over at me as I desperately picked up my phone, holding up a finger as I got up and walked towards the back of the restaurant, answering the call.
“Hello?”
“Hey, where am I meant to be?” She sounded very confused.
“Oh um, at the dinner thing…”
“What dinner thing?”
Louis hadn’t told her.
“Um-“ I started, looking over at the table to find Louis glaring at me. I turned back around, “Everyone is at a dinner right now- I thought you would know because Louis he said you didn’t want to come.”
“Louis is at a meeting.”
“No.” I breathed. “Louis is at the dinner as we speak. I was told you were coming also but-“
Little cries were muffled on the other line, stopping Alyssa from continuing her confused argument.
“Could you just text me? Please?” She softly asked.
I agreed and hung up the phone, bringing my hand up to the bridge of my nose and shaking my head at what Louis was causing.
I turned back around and walked to the table, keeping my sights down as I reached the table and took my seat again. I looked up to Louis who was across from me and shook my head at him, causing him to look away as he pressed his lips into a thin line.
“So congratulations on the engagement you two.” Liam smiled at Harry and I.
Harry’s hand went to my thigh and my hand immediately followed, intertwining our fingers as we smiled back.
“Thank you.” I shyly responded.
“You two are engaged?” Sophia asked, smiling at the two of us.
“Yes.” Harry nodded. “Since yesterday actually.”
I nodded from behind him. Sophia gave me a big smile, making me smile back at her before panning down again. My phone vibrated on the table again, this time I had a text from Alyssa. I picked it up with my free hand, unlocking it before I went to her message. Once I opened it I read her message, which stated that Louis had told her he was going to a meeting with the boys and that he wouldn’t be home until late. She complained about how she should have never believed him, but I’ve warned her before.
I nudged Harry and showed him the text. He took my phone into his hands as he furrowed his brows at the text, placing my phone back down after locking it. I avoided eye contact with Louis for as long as I could, but I could feel his gaze on me.
Zayn and Perrie arrived last, looking beautiful as always. We stood again and hugged them. As I hugged Perrie she whispered in my ear,
“Congratulations.”
“Thank you.” I said back.
She rubbed my back as we pulled away, and smiled at me.
Zayn gestured for us to sit down, so which we agreed and took our seats again.
“Where’s Alyssa?” Perrie asked as she furrowed her eyebrows looking around.
“She didn’t want to come.” Louis lightly shrugged. “She’s like, really tired.”
“Oh totally, she just had the baby too.” Perrie agreed.
If only they knew the truth.
“Yeah.” I pouted. “It’s really unfortunate that she isn’t here, isn’t it Louis?”
Louis snapped his head towards me, cocking it to the side as he replied with a simple ‘yep’.
Soon our orders were taken and the food and drinks were brought to us. Harry and I shared a glass of wine, as he was driving and I couldn’t finish my own. Midway through, I excused myself to the bathroom, only to text Alyssa back without receiving threatening glares from Louis. He seemed to be on a role with freaking me out, as he hadn’t stopped looking at me the whole night. It may have something to do with the fact he’s on his fourth glass of wine, not that I was counting, but all in all it’s still creeping me out.
I walked to the bathroom, using the facilities before coming out and looking in the mirror to fix my hair and make-up. I texted Alyssa back, telling her I had sympathy for her in this situation, which I did, and put my phone back down to wash my hands. I dried my hands off, placing my phone back into my clutch and looking at myself once more.
The clicking of my heels echoes through the empty bathroom as I made my way to the door. I pulled it open and was immediately greeted by the dim lights. I sighed as I walked out further, only taking my breath back in when my arm was gripped and I was pulled back.
I was forced up against the wall, whimpering as my spine came in contact with the door borders. I looked up, squinting slightly as the lights made it hard for me to see who it was.
“You bitch.” They snarled.
In that moment I immediately knew who it was.
And I was truly scared.
