This wasn't exactly a book cover, but some sort of Illustration as part of a price for a writing contest launched by LDK, the editorial house I currently work for.

The contest was only for poetry writers, and they needed to show up romance and erotism.

This one, one of the most dazzling poems, depicted the way in which two males loved each other, focusing especially in the erotic and breathtaking view of one of the lovers sitting by the window.

Hence the eye and the reflection of the lover on the iris, almost as if the window was the pupil itself.

The colour palette was chosen with the idea of transmitting calmness but also passion, and that warmth and cozzynes only that especial someone can make you feel.

This is actually one of my favourite illustrations.

Although it was the first time using these colours for an illustration, I enjoyed it tremendously, and I have to thank my dear Eduardo, LDK director and owner, for giving me the chance of working for them.
