Since you can apparently only add 20 images per chapter (I learn something new about Wattpad every day), here's the second part of the tutorial.

Part 3: The long shadow

Step 13:

Right click onto your text layer and select Duplicate layer.

Make sure your foreground colour is set to black, then click the Lock button underneath the Opacity bar.

Click Edit and then Fill with FG Colour and you get a copy of your text in black.

Undo the Lock button

Step 14:

Click Filters, then Blur, and Motion Blur

Step 15: 

Once again, play around with the parameters until you like how it looks.

I used the following settings.

Step 16: 

Drag the shadow layer underneath the text layer. If you want, you can also adjust the opacity of the shadow at this point.

Part 4: The swords

Now, you'll need a pic of a sword. I used some stock I found on Deviantart a while ago.

(please note, that you might have to cut out the desired sword before you can use it)

Step 17: 

Create a new transparent layer and drag and drop the sword image onto your canvas. 

Using the scale and rotate tools, adjust the size and angle of the sword and using the move and/or align tool place it over the first letter of your text.

Step 18: 

Duplicate the sword layer twice by right clicking on it and using the rotate and move tools, place the two other swords accordingly.

Right click the top layer and click Merge down, repeat until you have one single sword layer left.

Step 19: 

Repeat steps 13-15 to create shadows for the swords.
Move the shadow layer so it lies underneath the text layer. Adjust the opacity if you like.

Then, select the eraser tool and with a very small radius, erase parts of the blades so it looks as if they are intertwined with the letters.

Adding overlays or filters is optional. 

Step 20: 

Click File and select Export as... to save your banner (png suggested)

And that's it, you're done. 

Of course, you can use any images, text or colours you like for this. Also, you're not limited to using this on banners only, you can easily make a cover with this tutorial, too.
