I was thinking about making a map for The Winter Princess and since I just decided to make Of Stars and Ashes an original high fantasy story too (total spur of the moment decision, hope I won't regret it once I start to change all the names and settings), for that one as well.

So I happened to dig around in my shelves and found a very very old folder that had all my notes for a very very old story of mine aka. the epic high fantasy story I never finished but that I had so many ideas for it would've probably ended up being a 10 book series. If you didn't know yet, I'm a voracious note-taker. I'm not so much into outlining and planning stories but I write a lot of notes about characters, settings, creatures and back stories... and I have the tendency to keep them in case I might possibly eventually need them sometime... in like 10 years or so.

I know there's probably enough material in that folder to write some more stories about but because I'm already being plagued by plot bunnies right this instant, I didn't take a closer look.
I did, however, take a look at the map I drew back then.

The date in the bottom right corners says it's from 2007. You won't be able to understand what the names say because it's all German, but the country in the south is named 'Southern Nation' and the part in the north is 'Northern Tribes'
I see where my inspiration for the naming came from.
