Before I begin this, just wanted to say a quick thank you to stringslady for suggesting this! :) Blending your images is actually a pretty important part of cover making. If your images aren't blended very well, then it may detract from the overall cover.
<This will be a text-only tutorial for tips in blending images.>
Now, in Picsart, there are 10 filters you can use: Normal, Multiply, Color Burn, Darken, Lighten, Screen, Overlay, Soft Light, Hard Light, and Difference. You can also use opacity to make the image less prominent. Some people use only opacity on their images, and it looks fine too, but personally I prefer using the filters, as I think they make it look a little more cleaner. :) you could also combine the two: use a filter, and also adjust the opacity.
Erasing the edges of your images also is very useful. There are a few times where I haven't needed to, so it really depends on the circumstance. :) Anyway, when I am using the eraser tool, instead of just turning the opacity down, I also turn the hardness of the brush down, depending on how much I want. Doing this helps to make the line where you erased much less visible.
That's actually all you probably need to know. :/ I have used an fx on an image and also used a filter, to create a different look, or sometimes to make the image more visible while using the filter. The possibilities are really endless.
That's all for now! I hope you find this helpful! Do you guys want to see more how-to-make-a-certain-cover tutorials? Or how-to-do-something tutorials?
