« EXTENSIVE DESCRIPTION »

TERRAMUNDI is a multimedia worldbuilding contest in which contestants will go about creating an entire new, unique, fictional universe through writing, graphic design, and other skills.

« FORMAT »

We'll be alternating between Terra and Mundi rounds. Terra rounds are one week long and involve everyone grouped into teams, while Mundi rounds last three days, determine elimination, and are further specifications of Terra themes. The contest will start off with a Terra round, and the losing pair will compete against each other in a Mundi round afterwards. The loser of the Mundi round is eliminated, while the winner will have to participate alone, with no partner, in the next Terra round.

« CHALLENGES »

⌲ create a SOCIAL STRUCTURE; it does not need to be pure, it does not need to be fair - in fact, a 'life is cruel' mentality allows for much more options and creativity

⌲ what is a TYPICAL APPEARANCE in your world? what does the average person look like?

⌲ come up with MORALS that most people share, and the reasoning behind them, such as religion and history

⌲ detail interesting LORE, ranging from arcane mythology to urban myths, about your world

« TWISTS »

⌲ winning three Terra rounds in a row results in a prize; you can skip doing a round of your choice and instead make someone else submit an entry for you. In order to ensure that someone doesn't sabotage the entry on purpose, they're to make two entries and allow the prize-winner to pick one and leave the other for the creator to submit

⌲ a wildcard Terra round that may appear at any time; a randomly selected eliminated contestant is brought back into the game

⌲ in one round, partners will have to write a short story featuring the other person's world rather than their own
