Really, this really got me. I mean the quote was really catch and everything! I love how it connects to the picture you have used and how you have selected that particular quote. It's sad but that's reality right? I love it! Maybe the cover will be much better without the border? But anyways, you dud a great job!

THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL! Simplicity at it's finest but it's a very great cover! have you seen david levithan's book covers? it's like this. Very simple but very elegant! I love it! This could be an official cover for a book! But maybe you could improve the pictures's quality more? and the font in authors :) 

PLEASE SLAP ME! AM I LOOKING FOR AN ENTRY OR A REAL BOOK COVER?! This is amazing! I admire you for making this! But maybe the title and quote lacks of connection to the cactus? But this is really awesome! This could make a great book cover! I love it! Simple but elegant!

AS I'VE SAID SIMPLICITY IS BEAUTY, AND THIS DEFINED IT! THIS GOT A VERY MINIMALIST LOOK, AND THE FONTS ARE AMAZING! THE COLOR IS VERY APPROACHING AND I REALLY THINK THIS WOULD PRODUCE A GREAT BOOK COVER.  

Maybe a lot of you will ask, why this cover won even though it's very clear she just put up the font and the quote as well as the author, and did not do anything anymore. But can you see the real point of this contest? I'm pointing out the choices you are doing. I mean, this cover is so beautiful without any edits. It's because she has made a very good choice of choosing a picture to use. Got it? Even though you spend 3 hours editing your cover, if you did not make a good choice at picking the pictures to use, you are not going to accomplish a successful cover for it to become a beautiful one.
