The story 'Broken Waves' gives us a rough idea about Fizza's likes and character. The fact that she likes pink gloss, but scrunches her face at mascara only says that she is a simpleton. She prefers a light lip gloss, but mascara is too much for her. The girl in the picture has been chosen for obvious reason that she potrays beauty and simplicity. Since Fiza is a Muslim woman, it was essential to show the scarf as most young and old women prefer to wear a scarf either as a hijab or the way Fizza has worn.

The fact that she likes pink colour also brings out the fact that she exuberates feminity. The picture of the lipgloss is obvious as she uses her favourite pink lip gloss of MAC in the very first scene.

Since, Fizza aims to be a doctor, the stethoscope and the anatomy book is obvious. The colour is again representative of her nature.

The flowers here are called cherry blossoms which happen to represent the beauty of life and spring. Isn't that what Fiza is? Urdu meaning of 'Fiza' comes as 'Nature'. Hence the cherry blossoms.

The entire theme colour is pink, as pink happens to be sweet and everything nice and feminine. Isn't that how Fizza is?

His preference in black shirts, black car, shows his personality colour is Black. Or at least, we have to assume that as nothing much about his character is known.

Black personality traits entail non-emotional traits and gives the individual an appearance of a dignified and sophisticated person who is in total control. Usually these kind of person are successful in their careers and that is proved from the fact that Sa'ad 's is the CEO. This the face of the man potrays Sa'ad' s personality efficiently.

Black rose, chosen here symbolises Sa'ad's dominant black charcter but the fact that roses have been used for ever to express love, gives black roses another meaning. They also stand for the begining of new changes and relationships. In a way symbolising the change that is to come in Fiza and Sa'ad's relationship.

Thus the theme colour for Sa'ad is Black but not in a negative sense.

The coffee beans symbolize renewed energy and motivation, something that Sa'ad is for Fiza.
