Chapter 1: BYE BYE BIRDIE

CLOE DANNE

"That day was especially cold. The ferry was coming to the Harbor. And it was hard to believe who still uses the ferry for traveling instead of a plane nowadays. But Cloe wasn't surprised, not at all. She has something to do this day and couldn't get distracted by what was happening."

"The forest grew wilder as the time had passed, the friendly tree hug people made it very easily to cover her tracks and more the tracks of the Sisterhood. How many stories that those old trees could tell. Tales of pilgrims and natives fighting as were no tomorrow, tales of gunners and some witches."

Cloe kept walking, and came to an old oak. Her blonde curly hair was messy, with dried leafs and barks. her skin was dried and pale as the trees never let the sunshine trespass their vast foliage. She had a thing for sleeping at the forest.

Maybe because she never truly cared for the cozies that her sisters in the coven had. She looked around, and so no one, then she looked between the roots and took the mushrooms. Were black as coal with red velvet spots in its heads.

"I know that I shouldn't eat it, but is the only way I can see, the only way I can get to know things" she said.

So Cloe ate the mushroom and let the dark magic do theirs effects on her. It was not so long before she had started to see things.

A trip full of images and significances. She saw two star crossed lovers, and a woman of silver blonde hair with eyes of Ambar she was brushing her hair with a crow wing and more.

Saw not a man, not angel not demon but someone between the three, rising a sword made of a gigantic stone cross. The man of black long hair crying at the black bats were flying around him in a turmoil, and then feasting of the flesh and blood of a white bat.

She saw everything once happen there. She saw three enormous gates getting open. And the dark lord coming to her, his huffs burning the grass as he steps on it. The long horns, the body of a warrior and the eternal black face of devil himself. That thing leaned in her lap and whisper at the ear of the witch.

"I'm coming" the Dark Lord said. And I'm hungry...he said again. His voice was deep and cold, as the winter howling at her ear and a chill ran between her bowels.

"And I'm hungry, feed me woman" Cloe came back herself again. The night was coming by, when she woke up. The blow of the cold northern wind was licking her nude ankles. She covered her bare feet in the laps of her long wool skirt.

Then she heard a soft childish voice coming from the borders of the woods. At the other side was a small child, of a 7 or 8 years old. The girl had a small canary at her hands.

"Bye, bye, birdie" The girl shout and push the bird of her hands to the sky, the small bird tried to fly, but then it fell down to the grass. The little girl run fast. "Why Birdie? why won't you fly?" she said. the bird was chirping. Then Cloe came out the woods. And took the little bird.

"Poor little thing" Cloe whisper as the bird was trying to breath as fast as his little lungs could. "You are sick, so sick, and tender, so innocent and fragile" she said and then she blew over the bird's belly, a moment later, the bird turned around and started to fly again.

"Wow! Miss you have superpowers?" said the little girl. "You can cure the animals!"

"Yes, I guess I can, do you want to learn it?" asked the witch.

"Yes please mam, please teach me!" said the girl hyped by the woman's question. Then Cloe tended her hand to her, the little girl took it firmly as she wanted truly to learn.

Then they walked to the old Oak, a burned tall oak, black as coal, and yet firmly and prided as when it was alive

"Here my little birdy" said Cloe then she told the girl to stay in front of the big oak with the eyes closed.

"Are we going to be here until night? because my mom is waiting for me"

"Don't worry little birdy, that will only take a moment" said Cloe. And then, she pushed the girl to the ground. And the little missy hit her head against the bark of the oak, then Cloe smashed with her foot the neck of the girl, until it was heard a "crack" her neck broke in an instant, to lines of blood run over her little nose dripping to the roots of the dead tree.

Then it was heard a noise inside the tree, like a rodent trying to escape. A naked man appeared then, his skin was covered in black coal slime

"Oh dear, I can't have you been running freely like that—said Cloe, then she took a big pig's head that was hiding in some bushes and put over his shoulders. "Much better" she smirk

The head of the dead pig came to life and started to grunt.

Then Cloe turn around and kept walking.

   "Enjoy your meal" she said.
