Epilogue
January 24, 2021
Knox and Keaton were about two and a half. Caylen was just a few months. Josiah, however, was about five. Josiah was Samantha's and Calum's. Knox, Keaton, and Caylen were Calum's and mine. We had found a way to get around my power to have kids.
We had been married since early 2016, specifically on Calum's birthday. Our five-year-anniversary was the next day. Calum told me he had something planned, but I had no idea what. I was really excited because he had always come up with such cute things for our anniversaries.
Another major thing was that I had moved out of the Coven to live by myself with Calum and our kids. I put Vanessa in charge of the other girls. Josiah was growing up in the coven, though, and everyone loved him. A good thing was that if Samantha didn't want him to do something, she could use mind control and have him behave.
I went to sleep next to Calum on the night of the twenty-fourth while thinking about what things we could have been doing the next day.
------
The morning of January 25, I woke up early without seeing Calum beside me. I got out of the bed and walked into Caylen's nursery to see Calum watching her in her crib.
"Happy birthday," I whispered, and he thanked me.
"What are you doing up?" I asked him, "it's only six. You never get up that early."
"I couldn't sleep," he shrugged, looking back down into the large crib at our sleeping baby daughter.
"Are you excited for today? For what I have planned?" He asked, smiling at me.
"I am. I just wish you'd tell me," I put my hands on his hips.
"I'm not telling you. And by the way, happy anniversary," he grabbed my hand in his.
"Happy anniversary," I leaned my head into his shoulder, peering into the crib.
"When is Brody coming over? Calum asked me as we walked out of the room. I told him about noon, and he thought that would be perfect. Brody lived closer to us now than he did mom and dad. It was really convenient, especially because we didn't want to have to take Vanessa or one of the other girls from the coven for hours at a time.
"That'll give us plenty of time," Calum nodded as he walked down the stairs and into the kitchen for breakfast.
"I'm making breakfast for you this morning since its your birthday," I told him, walking into the kitchen and telling him to go sit down until it was ready.
------
Later, after Brody showed up, Knox and Keaton ran to him, yelling, "untle Bwody! Untle Bwody!"
Brody picked them both up and swung them around before placing them back on the floor and patting their brown-haired heads.
"Are you good to go? We already fed Caylen and just put her down for a nap, but she'll probably only be sleeping for another hour, maybe? We'll have to see, but if you have a problem, call us," I smiled at him, giving him a hug before leaving.
Calum drove for a little bit, and soon I recognized where we were going. I hadn't been there in ages, though.
He took me to the club where we met at. There was no one there, just us. Calum had arranged with the owner of the club for it to be closed at that time so just Calum and I could be there.
"I haven't been here since we met.." I looked at Calum, "but I still remember it."
"I could've died that night if you didn't like me.. I was coming onto you and you pushed me away."
"Yeah. I'm glad you didn't die, so don't talk about it," I pushed him, and he giggled.
"I can't believe you thought of this," I smiled brightly. Suddenly, the lights went dim and a slow song came on. A disco ball dropped and began to spin.
"Cal.." I bit my lip, smiling at what he had done.
"May I have this dance?" He wondered with his hand outstretched towards me. I nodded, taking ahold of his hand and dancing with him. I couldn't have pictured anything more perfect.
"I love you," I whispered to Calum, and he whispered back, "I love you too.."
