Chapter 22 - Ring
He pulled out a box from his pocket. I covered my mouth with my hand. He was going to propose.. Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god... I needed to calm down. I grabbed his face in my hands and kissed him.
"I still love you," I whispered on his lips, kissing him again, "I'm not mad at you. I know this wasn't your fault.."
"I love you too," he whispered back, "so that's a yes?"
I nodded, and he grabbed my left hand. He took the ring out of the box and placed it on my finger.
"I love you so much.. I don't know what I'd do without you. I'm so glad you're not mad at me for this situation," he smiled, then he kissed me.
"Why would I be? Samantha was using mind control on you when everything happened. I'm completely fine with it, I guess. Samantha is an amazing girl, but as long as you're still with me, I'm okay. You'll have to support her and the baby, but that won't be a problem, right?" I asked, and he shook his head.
"Definitely not. That won't be a problem at all, I promise. And Samantha, I'll support you completely throughout the pregnancy and all throughout the baby's life. Don't you worry at all about this situation. You'll be fine," Calum assured her.
"Thank you, but what I was really worried about is that if this baby would ruin you guys' relationship, but I can tell that it hasn't, and that makes me so happy. You two are adorable together, and I'd hate to be the reason why you broke up," Samantha frowned.
"Well, we are not breaking up, so you should be really happy. I know I'm really happy," I looked at Calum, then down at our hands before looking back to Samantha.
"I am happy for you two. Congrats, by the way," she smiled.
"You too," I told her, "congrats on the baby. You'll make a great mom. If you ever need me, I'll be there."
"Thank you so much, Sarah," Samantha exclaimed and hugged me. I hugged her before thinking about how I was going to tell my parents.
"Calum, how will we tell my parents about this?" I looked back at Calum. He had the largest smile on his face.
"I already took care of it. I asked them, and they were completely fine with it. They love me, you know," he joked.
"They really do," I nodded, "ever since I introduced you to them, they've loved you. I'm not kidding at all. They've never wanted me to not be with you."
"We'll have to tell your siblings, though. I haven't told them at all. I thought we could tell them together. Also, we'll have to tell your parents about the baby, too. Maybe Samantha and Vanessa cold both come with us if we go back to your parent's place to tell them," Calum suggested.
"I'd like that. That would be nice. Would you like to, Samantha?" I asked her, now looking in her direction.
"I'd love to. But not before I tell my family and we tell Calum's family. We need to tell them first," Samantha told us, and we agreed.
"That'll be okay. I won't be able to tell Vanessa about the engagement or even wear the ring around her, but I think that's possible. If she finds out before, though, it'll be okay," I shrugged.
"Yeah, and she already knows about the baby," Samantha pointed out. I Just lie to her about who the dad is. You don't really have to lie, but you can say a friend."
"Yeah. Everyone will be asking, though. They'll want to know exactly who. Vanessa remembers what happened between Calum and me, though. She's going to put two and two together to make four. I know she will."
"That's fine. It doesn't matter when she finds out. She probably won't put two and two together right away. It'll be fine," I put my hand on her shoulder.
"I'm just a little stressed out. A lot has happened today.." She put her left hand on her forehead and her right hand on her stomach.
"You get a little sleep. If you have too much going on, it won't be good for the baby. I will be here still, but Sarah and I can go downstairs if you want to be alone and sleep for a bit," Calum grabbed my hand and slowly walked to the door. I took off my engagement ring and placed it in my jewelry box before locking it up again.
"Thanks," she smiled, "I'll sleep a bit. Maybe get my mind off of some things."
"That's good. We'll leave you alone," I smiled, walking out of the room with Calum. We went downstairs, and everyone was talking about Samantha's baby.
Most of the girls had come up to Calum and me to ask about Samantha's baby since we had just be up there talking to her.
Delia told everyone to settle down, and she walked over to me to ask about what was going on. I would tell her the truth, but not about Calum being the dad quite yet.
"Samantha is pregnant, about eight weeks. She told me the dad is a friend. I'm not quite sure who that is. She's sleeping now, so I wouldn't bother her. She needs rest. A lot has gone on today for her," I explained to Delia.
"Okay. We'll leave her be. And everyone needs to leave Calum and Sarah be, okay. It will be okay, having the baby here. It will change a little how we do things, but we'll be fine. Don't worry at all, and don't pester Samantha or any of her roommates about it, okay?" Delia turns to everyone and announced. You heard a sound of agreement go over all of the girls.
"Good," she smiled at them, then at Calum and me before walking away. I smiled at Calum and exhaled loudly. It had been a long day.
