The next night, there was a witch hunter that came to the academy. He was shooting around, and we were all hiding.

*Nan's POV*

I was keeping an eye on where Sarah was hiding, and she was keeping an eye on where I was. I saw the hunter come around the corner to where Sarah was. He saw her there, and I tried to find the gun that was somewhere around me. I got my hands on it, but I had already heard a bang. I quickly aimed the gun at him, but I had heard a shot from upstairs, and the man fell down. He was bleeding.

"QUEENIE!!!" I exclaimed, knowing that she must've done that. She ran down the stairs and smiled.

I ran over to Sarah. She was shot right in the head. I tried to bring her back to life, but I couldn't. I called for Delia, and she helped. She used her vitalum vitalis to bring Sarah back to life. She looked up at us and gasped for a breath.

She smiled at me, "Nan.. Did you-"

"No.. I'm sorry. I couldn't. Delia did," I pointed to Delia.

"Thank you, Delia," she looked over at her.

*Sarah's POV*

"You're welcome, Sarah. We need you and all of your powers here. We can't ever let you go. You've helped us so much here, but you can't tell anyone else about being a witch," she told me.

I nodded, but then explained to her, "I never did tell anyone after accidentally telling David. Maybe he told someone?"

"Sarah.. Doesn't he look like David?" Madison asked, pointing to the dead witch hunter lying in the middle of the dark hallway.

"Get the lights. I'll see better," I told Madison, getting out from under the one table I had been under since the man got here.

The lights came on seconds later, and it took me a minute to readjust my eyes to the light. I looked at the man, and he looked a lot like David. I knew who this was. This was his brother. I couldn't believe how much trouble the Hood family has gotten me into. However, I really do love Calum. I don't know what to do. I hope there are no more witch hunters in the family.

After a few minutes, we called the cops and told them what had happened. Hopefully they wouldn't get suspicious of what was going on here, being that this was the second time there was a shooting at the academy in the past two days.

After the police took away David's brother's body, I called Calum to ask if I could come over. I couldn't handle this anymore. I needed to know if there were any more witch hunters in his family.

Calum accepted my offer, and he told me that I could come over right away if I wanted to. I transported myself after telling Delia where I was going.

After I got to Calum's house, I began to explain to him what had happened. I told him about how I had died and Delia brought me back. I told him about his uncle too.

"I can't take this anymore!" He exclaimed.

"What do you mean? You can't take what anymore?"

"This!" He yelled again, "first, you put my dad in jail, then you kill my uncle! And you don't bring him back to life, which you could've!"

"But he would've hurt me or my friends. We have to protect each other!"

"You could've brought each other back to life. But instead, you killed my uncle. You can't do that to people, Sarah!"

"I didn't kill him! Queenie did!" I yelled at him.

"I don't care who killed him! The fact is that he's dead! And someone of your kind killed him!"

"MY KIND?!" I screeched, "what do you mean by that!?"

"You're a witch. You know that. Another witch killed my uncle. And you put my dad in jail," he crossed his arms.

"He could've killed me, Calum! Do you want your dad to be out of jail or for me to be dead? Choose. Now."

"I don't know," he shrugged then said slowly, "family always comes first."

"So you're choosing your dad over me?"

"I guess so."

"Don't you love me?"

"Of course I do, but you're breaking my family apart."

"Please Calum, no.. Please," I begged, crying.

"I'm sorry, Sarah, but I can't have you tearing up my family anymore. We're already broken as it is," he sniffled.

"Baby, no. You can't do this. I love you," I held onto his arm.

"I love you too.." He whispered, "but I'm choosing my family."

I kissed him, and he kissed back. Our lips moved in sync perfectly for over thirty seconds before Calum pulled away, "goodbye Sarah.."
