Chapter 10 - Trouble?
"Am I, um, in trouble?" I asked. Delia shrugged.
"I heard that Calum knows," Fiona stared at me. I got scared.
"He knows what?" I acted innocent.
"He knows that you're a witch. And he knows your power," Madison told me. I nodded.
"You told him?" Delia asked. I nodded again.
"Why would you tell him!? That's the whole reason we didn't want him to come here. I knew you having a boyfriend wasn't going to be a good idea!" Delia exclaimed.
"They always find out," Queenie shook her head, glaring at me.
"I'm sorry, okay guys," I told them, the looked outside to see that Calum was still outside, but he pulled something out of his car and ran back to the door.
"Babe, you left thi-" he began, but saw everyone staring at us. He looked at them before looking at me. He gave me a questioning look.
"They know that you know about me being a witch," I whispered to him. He nodded, en walked in farther.
"There's nothing to worry about me knowing. I promise you. I won't ever tell anyone, even my parents or sister. And if you're worrying more about if I'm going to hurt any of you or if I'm a witch hunter or anything.. I'm not. I'm with Sarah because I love her, and I've been with her since even before I knew that she was a witch. You guys don't have to worry about me knowing that you're all witches. I love Sarah, and she loves you guys, so I'd never do anything to bring you or any other witches harm," Calum smiled then kissed me before walking out.
"See. I told you guys you didn't have to worry about him knowing. He's amazing. He won't hurt any witches. The coven is safe," I told them before walking past them to go upstairs and into my room.
A few minutes later, I texted Calum, saying, "thank you for that:)"
"Anytime, babe. All that I said was true. I love you.."
"I love you too<3"
Nan walked into my room, so I said goodbye to Calum. I put my phone down, and Nan sat on my bed beside me. She looked at me and smiled. I smiled too. I wondered what she wanted.
"I'm really sorry about them scaring you," she apologized.
"What?" I asked her.
"They scared you. I know it because you thought about being scared of them. Don't worry, though. Here just really protective because they don't want any witches to be hurt or in the path of harm. That's why we have the rule about not bringing anyone here unless there's at least an hour notice. They just want to protect the coven," Nan explained. I nodded.
"I understand. It's fine," I shrugged, "I just thought that I was in really big trouble. I'm so glad Calum came back in and told them that, or we would probably still be in the entrance room talking. I don't like situations like that.." I told her.
"Yeah, I know. It's always awkward. Don't worry, though. That happens a lot if they find out that someone knows. Luckily normal people don't find out very often," Nan laughed. I agreed.
"That's good, yeah," I nodded.
"So you're okay now?" She wondered.
"Yeah. I was never very hurt. I just didn't know if I was in very much trouble or not," I told her, laughing.
"Okay," she nodded, understanding.
"Thank you for the concern, though, Nan," I smiled at her as she got off of my bed. She smiled back at me, "you're welcome." She opened my door and walked out.
I walked downstairs to get a snack since I didn't exactly have supper. I bumped into Madison in the kitchen, and she talked to me a little bit about what had happened earlier.
"I think they're just uptight because one of my boyfriends before was a witch hunter, and he tried to kill me. They have been really strict with the rules of boyfriends or anybody from the outside for that matter. They don't like anyone knowing except for family," Madison explained. I got why they didn't like people knowing. I understood.
"That's fine. I was just scared that I was going to be in a lot of trouble," I explained to her like I had with Nan.
"Okay," she smiled just slightly, "what do you want to eat?"
"I don't know. I had lunch at my parents' house, but I never had supper. I'm really hungry, but not hungry enough for a whole meal. What do you think I should have?"
"Ice cream.." She smiled and laughed. I agreed, nodding.
She got the ice cream out of the freezer and smiled evilly at me. When I asked her why she was smiling like that, she told me, "I just like ice cream."
"So you aren't smiling like that because we can't have it?"
"No. I just really like ice cream, and you should know that after how long you've lived here," Madison looked at me and put her hand on her hip.
"I'm sorry," I pouted and apologized. I laughed then, and so did Madison. She got out ice cream for herself and me. We ate it while talking in the kitchen about Calum..
