A/N - a bit late so Lets see what I can do before passing out.

Your POV

*I am walking around the town I reached I don't know the name of it at the moment nor do I care as I go to a building that is labeled as the hotel as I check in mentally cringing about the cost per a night as I grab my room key I go inside and set my bag and some things down before grabbing some clothes to change into as I go into the bathroom taking a shower having let Hestia and Dreepy explore the room warning them to not destroy the room as I take a pained shower as I check the wounds over my body that didn't really heal very well from a long time ago causing me to sigh as i wash the dirt, grime, and whatever else built up from the rough trip into the town as I finish taking the shower and step out as I dry myself off as I hear my PokeNav ringing from the bathroom causing me to walk back into the room grabbing and seeing that its Courtney causing me take a deep breathe in before exhaling and answering with a neutral tone to my voice*

You: "Hello?"

Courtney: "Ah Y/N I finally got through which town are you in?"

You: "No clue I just went until I reached some town that has a hotel in it."

Courtney: "Can you check your map on the PokeNav?"

*I blink some before looking at the screen options on the device seeing one that looks map like and opening while barely able to hear Courtney from the device and I see that it has general circle and arrow that is in a place called Fortree City as you look at the details for it realizing its actually a gym city but one you don't have enough cover for yet before bring your Nav back to your ear and speaking*

You: "I'm in Fortree City apparently so if I wanted I could start my first gym battle here but I don't really have real good coverage for flying types right now. So I'll probably start training Hestia more soon"

Courtney: "Okay have you caught anything else?"

You: "Yes but no? I have a Dreepy now I think its a he but I don't have a name for him yet. But I'll be training them both but I'll probably need to find or buy some tm's for them to be able to counter flying types better that or get lucky and find something that would work well with them but I'd have to take a gander around the locations near hear for some options but Its a bit difficult right now."

*I don't hear anything for a few moments until she speaks once again*

Courtney: "Well with it being Fortree City some of the Pokémon there I can't say that there are many great options before that gym it might be easier to go elsewhere to a gym you could beat at this point or just over training as much as you can for the battle."

*I begin thinking about it on a more personal level of my two available Pokémon*

Hestia is Level 22 at this moment her moves while not bad not yet ready for this gym I think Dreepy is level 18 as well hmmm no I'm definitely not ready for this unless... wait I'm thinking of this all wrong I'm assuming that they don't change the battle based on gym badges alone they must base it on the gym badges otherwise how would some trainer just starting on their journey every progress through the league if they aren't by the first gym location so the answer is so simple that I hate that it took me this long to realize this. The leader has a team for just starting out as gym challengers. So that means that team will be much more beginner based.

*My thoughts are interrupted by Courtney's voice that seems a bit worried as I shake my head as I focus back onto the call*

Courtney: "Y/N are you still there!? Did something happen?!?!?!"

You: "Yes I'm alright I got lost in thought but I realized something. What if the trainer starts their journey in Fortree City wouldn't they if they were focused on it face the city's gym first?"

Courtney: "Well yes they would be facing that city's gym leader first I believe her name is Winona what is your point Y/N?"

You: "Then why would the leader use a single team for every challenger that wouldn't make sense would it to you as wouldn't a strong team ruin new league challengers dreams faster than anything else. Meaning wouldn't they have teams based on how many badges you have collected?"

*She goes silent for a moment before responding*

Courtney: "They would definitely have teams based on how many badges you have otherwise that would stop any new challengers entering the league"

You: "Then it seems I'll be Facing Winona tomorrow then... well I should probably go to sleep Courtney. Talk to you another time more than likely a badge up as well."

*Before she can respond you hang up the call and put the PokeNav away changing into clothes that feel more like pajamas for you as your mind is racing with the battle with a gym leader your going to have the next day making plans for the whole battle while closing your eyes letting your mind race with the battle strategies that you had memorized long ago for some reason that might actually come in handy as you see the battle in your mind going just the way you need it to go even if it would likely be a bit different as long as she is intelligent in her battle style it might actually be a challenge who knows it might become even better of an experience as long as she actually knows how to battle and doesn't become conceited by anything in the battle*

Winona Hope you don't disappoint me in this battle.
