Arish's pov:

It's been weeks and nasa NICU pa din si Rin. His lungs is a bit better na pero kailangan pa din nila mag observe dahil mabagal pa din ang heart beat nito pero the good news is lumalaki na siya he doesn't look so fragile anymore.

"Gusto mo ba ng coffee?" Tanong ko kay dwayne he shook his head so I just nodded and stood up walking towards the cafeteria.

"Hi miss model!" Bati saakin nung chinitong pogi na doctor ni Rin, I know his last name, but I forgot about his full name "H-hi" nag wawala yung puso ko nasa likod ko lang siya dahil nakapila kami, ang bango bango niya Dior Sauvage.

"Can I pay for your coffee?" I chuckled "You don't pay for a stranger's coffee" he smiled at me, nawala nanaman mata niya.

"We'll you're not a stranger miss model, you're baby Rin's someone" I laughed, I can't this guy is funny, Someone, siraulo to.

Pag tapos ng nasa harap ko agad na akong nag order ng coffee ko lalapag ko na yung card ko nang unahan niya ako.

"Swipe this instead, ella" lagay niya ng black card niya sa counter. "Nag a-apply ka bang sugar daddy ko?" Biro kong tanong sakanya, he smirked "I can be. If you want me to" I laughed itong lalaking to siraulo talaga.

Kinuha ko na ang coffee at umupo saglit para mag check ng emails, namalayan ko nalang na nakaupo na siya sa harapan ko. Umiinom siya ng kape habang nag rereview ng files, gosh i love this view! He looks very serious and hot right now.

He noticed that I was staring at him kaya nginitian niya ako "Siguro mga next week lalabas na si Rin sa NICU" I smiled nodding at him. That's good at least mauuwi na ni Dwayne and baby niya, he's been preparing his new house for his baby.

"I hope you don't mind me asking, ano mo yung dad ni Rin?" I almost spit my coffee "i-uh bakit mo natanong?" He shrugged and played with his fingers.

"It looks like that guy likes you" I burst out laughing, pinag sasabi ng taong to "Like you?" Sabi ko sakanya making him chuckle.

"Yeah, like me" he confidently said making my eyes widened.

Hindi ko pinahalatang nagulat ako at nag kibit balikat nalang "We're ex's" i said as i drank from my coffee cup, his lips formed an 'o'

"Why did it end?" I tapped my fingers in the table, dapat ba na mag kwento ako?

Napansin niya ata na uneasy ako"Sorry for making you uncomfortable with my question, you don't have to answer it" Di ko namalayan na ang tagal ko na palang tahimik.

"Let's just say he had other options and I didn't get picked or Best Friends to lovers is bullshit" i went with in the safe ladder making him chuckle.

"That's why Rin is born?" I shrugged and just nodded.

He looked like he understands me "You have a really genuine heart for supporting him despite the pain he caused you" I smiled, I'm damn strong. I've been through a lot with him and I'm still standing here beside him.

"How bout you? Do you have a girlfriend?"  Hindi niya inaasahan ang tanong ko dahil siningkitan niya ako ng singkit niyang mata.

"Do you wanna be?" Biro niya pa saakin.

"Joke!" Sabi niya kaya naka hinga ako pero agad niya din binawi "Jokes are half meant by the way" sabi niya making me blush, Ano ba tong lalaking to!

"My last relationship ended two years ago it left a huge scar in my life that still affects me till this day" He has a point, I looked at my coffee cup, we all have scars. Different sizes, different reasons, different pain.

That scar is a reminder that we survived the battle, that no matter how painful it is, it still healed, but it's a piece of a painful reminder.

"You look like a genuine loving person so why the hell would she break up with you?" I asked him dahil mukha naman siyang matinong lalaki.

"Let's put it this way, she chose her greatest love" I pouted, inang mga greatest love yan eh!

Natawa ako "Sorry, that's depressing" he scoffed making me giggle a bit more "Oh trust me, it is" i lift my coffee cup a bit offering a cheer which he accepted.
We both laughed "You're actually really fun" I complimented him earning a cheeky smile from him, wala nanaman mata niya.

"C-can I ask you out on a late night dinner?" His face turned red as he asked that question "I-i mean I know it's late pero mamaya pa kasi tapos ng shi-"

"Ok" pag puputol ko sakanya "Meet me at the parking lot" he gave me a quick hug before walking away winking at me. I laughed as i shook my head, tumayo na ako at bumalik na kung nasaan si dwayne.

Pag dating ko dun agad siyang yumakap saakin ng mahigpit "What's the matter?" Hinawakan niya ang magkabilang pisnge ko at bigla nalang akong niyakap ng mahigpit.

Nanlaki ang mata ko because of his sudden action "D-dwayne" I tried catching my breath pushing him a little.

"Please, let it be me again" pag iyak niya sabay tago ng ulo niya sa may leeg ko.

What now?

I hugged him tight "Dwayne, we can't go back to the way we are back then. It doesn't work like that" pinunasan ko ang luha.

"I loved you so much that i made excuses for the pain that you caused me, Dwayne" hinawakan ko ang dalawang pisnge niya "I'm so proud of you kasi for once your clear with what you want" pinikit niya ang mata niya ako yumakap saakin, crying in my shoulder.

Bumangon siya sa balikat ko "I love you, Arish"

My heart once beat rapid pag sinasabi niya yan, now i felt nothing but thankful kasi mahal niya ako.

I rubbed his shoulders "You're my greatest love, but you are my greatest pain"

"You will always be my greatest love, my forever. We might not be meant for to be with each other, but it will always be you, in the next life, I will still choose you, it will always be you" He said as he kissed my forehead "Stop crying rish, i hate it when i make you cry. It's my fault why I'm too late"
