8:30 AM

Once everybody got situated in their seats (at the airport waiting area of course) Hazel noticed the planes out the window and paled significantly.

"Hazy? Are you okay?" Frank asked with concern laced in his voice.

"Umm, I don't like that popping feeling in your ears when we go up and when we go down," Hazel said, looking at the ground from her seat, "It makes me feel nauseous,"

"Here, why don't you Frank, me, and Percy go look for some gum in the small shops around here," Annabeth said trying to help the younger girl.

"Alrighty, let's go, Frank," Percy said getting up from his seat and stretching. Frank got out of his seat and tripped...and fell...on his face.

"I'm fine!" he said quickly getting up then asked, "so which way should we go to get gum?"

"I think we should go out then turn left, I saw a bunch of shops out there. Plus, this place is a semicircle," Annabeth explained, then seeing the confused faces of the other 3 she sighed and said, "That means when we hit a dead end, we can walk the opposite way to get back,"

"Oohhh okay!" Hazel said excitedly, "I'll get my moneybag and we'll be off!" Hazel then dug through her backpack to get her moneybag

"Uhh found it, sweetie?" Frank asked, then Hazel nodded and triumphantly held the moneybag. Frank exclaimed," Great! Annabeth lead the way!" before tripping on his shoelace and falling on Annabeth.

Annabeth, Percy, Hazel, and Frank passed many shops including a sunglasses hut, where Hazel and Percy got a pair of sunglasses each. [In case you were wondering, Hazel's glasses were metal with a purple gem on each side (cat-eye style) and Percy's were plastic and (you guessed it) blue with a shark imprint on the sides (traditional style)]

The small crew also passes a small bookstore where Annabeth got a book called, "Guide to Florida: Places to go and why," Then they passed by a subway where Frank got a footlong sub and a coke, which he shared with Hazel.

They passed a small convenience store a few minutes after Subway and Hazel looked at heir selection of candy.

"Wow! Candy is expensive nowadays isn't it?" Hazel said  looking  at the prices, "back when I was little, most candies were a cent each, now they're a dollar!"

When Hazel looked at their gum selection, she didn't know which flavor to get, "Hmmm, which flavor do you guys think I should get?" she asked

"Blue Rasberry is good," Percy said opting for the blue (duh).

"I like Sweet watermelon," Frank said, it was the only flavor he could stand in his mouth, he wasn't a gum person.

"I personally like the original bubble gum flavor," Annabeth said while looking at the selection available.

"How about I get all of those flavors plus mint and citrus!" Hazel said, getting the 5 packs of gum, "plus that means everybody can have gum!" she added happily.

"You know, because we're probably going to want something savory, let's get some chips or sour gummies," Annabeth said before Hazel started waled to the counter to pay.

"Yeah, I guess that meaks sense," Percy said, looking to where they had their candy selection, "Oh hey! There's All Blue Sour Patch Kids! Wise Girl? Can I pretty please get them?" Percy asked with baby seal eyes, which Annabeth adored.

"Sure Seaweed Brain," Annabeth said laughing, "you can get it, just give it to Hazel when we pay."

"Hmm...there's Spicy Asina Chicken flavored chips, I'll judge if they taste like that," Frank said, he had walked to where the chip section was since Annabeth had said, "savory"

"There's almonds, peanuts, pistachios, and sundried cranberries in this bag, all lightly salted. Piper and I would probably like these," Annabeth said as she walked to where Frank was.

"Look! Licorice and Lemon heads! Will and Nico would love those!" Hazel said happily picking up the candy packets.

"Uh, guys?" Percy asked no one in particular

"Yes, Perce?" Hazel

"What about my bro Jason?"

"Uhhhhhhhhhh" Frank said drawing a blank.

Annabeth sighed then said, "Were you guys not paying attention to hin when we were on the bus? He said that if we went shopping, we should get salt and vinegar chips for him and Reyna if we ever got the chance,"

"Oooooh," Everyone else said in perfect unison.

"Great! I think we need just one more thing..." Hazel said looking at her fellow demigods.

They all looked at each other then said, "Drinks!" at the same time then laughed.

"yes we do need drinks, but we've been around here for 20 minutes. We can tell Will, Nico, Piper, Jason, Leo, and Calypso to go stretch their legs and look for drinks, or whatever else they want, " Annabeth said

"Yeah, that does make sense, I'll go pay for the food and we'll walk back to the waiting area," Hazel said while getting the snacks passed to her and walking over to the counter.

After Annabeth, Frank, Hazel, and Percy came back, they saw quite the hilarious sight.

Will was asleep on Nico (drooling too) and PIper was drawing on his face while Jason watched trying to contain his laughter. Leo and Calypso were arguing in hushed voices about whether or not to tell Piper that the marker she was using could stain skin.

"HEY WILL WAKE UP!!!" Percy yelled

Will woke up and looked around, "wait whhaa?"

Hazel giggle and pulled a mirror from her pocket, "look at your face Will!"

Will accepted the mirror and looked at his face. A full minute went by before he yelled at Piper, "SERIUSOLY PIPES?!?!?!?!? A MUSTACHE, A BEARD, AND SOLAGELO WRITTEN ON MY FOREHEAD?!?!"

Piper laughed uncontrollably and said, "Wiliam you'll survive, I used a washable marker from Hazel's bag, just go to the restroom and wipe it off with some water!"

"WHYYYYYY MEEEEEE?!?!" Will wailed dramatically falling on Nico

"Alright Sunny Boy, let's go to the washroom and wash you up," Nico said sighing and walked off to the restroom with Will

"Well, that was interesting, but the rest of you need to go get drinks and whatever else you want," Annabeth said pulling everyone back into reality.

"Alright fine," Piper said as she, and everyone else got up.

"Great, let's start walking from our left and see what's over there," Jason said as he led the group.

"Look!" Piper exclaimed pointing out a small shoe shop, "I need some flip-flops for the beach, and I can help Calypso get some too,"

"I'd be happy to get some new sandals," Calypso said as she walked with Piper to the shop. Jason and Leo looked at each other, then at the girls, then at each other again before shrugging and walking off with their girlfriends.

"O look Calypso!" Piper said as she walked to another side of the shop, "There's a light mint green pair of flip flops with small jewels on the straps."

"Those are very nice, but I like this better," Calypso said as she showed Piper a pair of sandals the caught her eye. The flip flops were tan with flowers and vines embroidered on the straps.

"They're so pretty!" Piper said, then a pair of flip flops caught her eye, "these are nice for me though," Piper said as she took the flip flops off the rack. This time they were light blue, so light, you could barely tell it was blue, and the straps were a fade from light blue at the top and getting lighter and lighter until the bottom was white.

"Those are so pretty!" Calypso gushed then asked her very scrawny boyfriend who was playing rock paper scissors with Jason, "do you like these Leo?"

"yeah Caly, they're really pretty!" Leo said then told Piper, "Ummmmmmm Beauty Queen? I think that dude is staring at you."

"Who is?" Jason said whipping around his head looking for the culprit.

"I think Leo is talking about the guy at the counter," said Piper who got up and saw the guy at the counter staring at her, "aren't you Leo?":

"Yeah, that's the one," Leo said putting an arm protectively around Calypso

"Alright, I'm going to go pay for these and I'm going to see what he says to me, just for fun," Piper said grinning as she took Calypso's and her flip flops to the counter, "These two flip flops please?"

"Alright sweet cheeks, that'll be $30.55, and I can add on a date for free too," the man said, he seemed to be in his early twenties.

"Alright here's $40, keep your change, and about that date..." Piper said, obviously teasing the man"...I already have a long term boyfriend, and he's quite protective."

"You sure you don't want to go? I know a sweet coffee place that'll warm you up fast, but you obviously don't need it. Since you're already so hot," The man said, still trying to convince PIper.

"My boyfriend also won't hesitate to kick your butt, so I'd suggest giving me my stuff and letting me leave," Piper replied, smiling sweetly.

"And who's this boyfriend of yours?" the man asked, looking between Leo and Jason.

"Hey, Jason! The guy won't leave me alone!" Piper said waving her hands.

"So, what is this about you bothering my girlfriend?" Jason asked the man.

The man merely smiled and then said, "You obviously don't know what I am"

Jason's eyes widened in surprise before pulling out an imperial gold sword, "Show yourself!" he growled.

The man cackled before showing his true form. His hair turned to fire, one of his legs turned to bronze, the other turned to a donkey leg.

"AN EMPOUSA!!!" Leo yelled, making his hands turn to flame

"You'll pay for this," Jason said, and mimicking a backhand slash he quickly beheaded the empousa before he had any time to react.

"I-I-I I thought Empousa could only be female!" Calypso said shuddering

"Yeah, this one might've been transgender though," Piper said with a dark look on her face"I'll leave a bit more money for the manager to hire another worker, and to say sorry"

"Good idea," Leo said then added, "Alright new topic, let's forget about that," Just as he said that Leo spotted a vending machine," Look! Energy drinks and sodas"

"Leo you do NOT need any sugar, you're hyped up as it is," Jason said, but then added, "We could get some drinks for the others though."

"Hmm, I think Percy would like the Cool Blue Gatorade, after all, it's blue," Calypso said.

"Hazel would want something fruity but carbonated, so a sprite," Piper said.

"Nico's probably going to want  a monster drink, plus he can sare with Will," Jason said

"I WANNA THE RED POWERADE!!!" Leo said happily

"Both me and Jase like Coca-cola, so we'll get that too," Piper said

Since Jason was the one closest to the buttons on the vending machine, he ended up paying. 5 drinks were round a total of$8.50, so Jason put a 10 dollar bill into the slot.

"Oh, my heavens!" Calypso yelled, "did it just suck the money into a vortex?!"

"Erm, no Caly, I'll explain when we get back okay?" Leo said running his hand through his hair, thinking about how to explain a vending machine to Calypso.

Jason got his change, which he left in the slot where you git your drinks (for the next unsuspecting person) and the crew walked the opposite direction, with the drinks, to go back to the waiting area to show the other.
