Chapter 1 -Where am I...?-

It was warm outside that day. It actually felt nice for once. I opened my eyes to see a forest in front of me, which was actually pretty disorienting. I have no idea how I got there. I rubbed my eyes with my sleeve and looked around. There were tall trees all around me and the sun was directly over my head. I guess I somehow got myself into this situation. Suddenly a sharp pain stabbed through my head, making me cradle my head in my hands while gritting my teeth. Slowly, I pulled myself up, holding onto another tree to keep me steady. Taking one wobbly step forward I made myself look forward. Trying to ignore the massive headache I started to hike through the forest that surrounded me.

After a while I stopped in my tracks. I had seen nothing but trees for what seemed like forever. I looked down at myself for the first time since I woke up and saw that I was wearing an dirty oversized hoodie and shorts. Did I not wash them or something? Where even am I? I panicked slightly, quickly glancing around me before continuing to push forward. I have to find my way out of here. I could feel the pressure on my chest as I started to run through the woods, dodging branches and jumping over roots.

As I got more and more desperate I panicked, losing all hope entirely. This forest seemed to go on forever. I started to sprint as fast as I could, ignoring the fact that my legs were screaming at me to stop, desperately searching for a way out. "Ack!-" I yelped, tripping and tumbling to the ground, knocking the wind out of me. I glanced back for a moment while catching my breathe and saw the smallest root sticking out of the ground. I glared at it for a second as the adrenaline rush calmed down. Giving up, I laid there for a minute in silence. I could feel myself start to tear up. I'm never gonna get out of here am I? As I sat there in defeat I heard something, someone. It sounded like people chatting away with one another! That's it! A way out!

I scrambled up to my feet, making my way towards the voices. Stumbling my way over I saw something.

"...come on Ger just try it!"
"Nein! Vhat the hell is it?!"
"It's the new KFC Cheeto sandwich!"
"VHAT-"

Growing closer to the voices I started to feel uneasy. Let's hope they aren't anyone bad. As I pushed forward I caught a glimpse of someone. I panicked slightly and hid behind one of the taller trees and peered out into the opening. Wait- I thought as I saw something in the clearing. I saw these weird humanoid looking things. They had human bodies but their heads were round and their skin had colorful patterns. There were four in the clearing in front of me. The first one had the colors black, red, and yellow in three horizontal lines. The second had this really complicated pattern, a blue square with stars and red and white strips. The next one had their back turned towards me but I could see that their colors were white and red. The last one also had their back turned towards me but I could see that they had three vertical lines that were red, white, then red again. They also had a weird hat on with some sort of striped tail at the door end. All of them were sitting down on a blanket, eating.

I obviously freaked out. I had no idea what the these things were, or how they even exist. But as the mess I was at the moment, I walked away and tripped on a tree root for the second time that day and fell onto some bushes, releasing a loud crunch. I froze as I heard an eerie silence from the weird things or whatever they are. "Russia? Mom? Dad? Is that one of you?" I heard one call out. I knew I was screwed if I didn't hide or run. As I braved myself in order to sprint to safety I looked up. Standing there was the black, red, and yellow... thing. "It's... a kid?" He said, clearly as confused as I was. I could almost hear my heartbeat as I quickly shuffled away on the ground, trying to distance myself as much as possible. "Wait! I'm not going to hurt you-" He started. I didn't trust it and scrambled to my feet, running as fast as my legs could handle. "Wait! Stop!" I could hear more rustling behind me. I looked to see that two of them were taking off after me. I felt myself panicked even more. Why would I stop when two of the most terrifying things I've ever seen are literally chasing after me in the middle of a forest? I turned back and kept running, that is until I came across another, smaller clearing. Standing there was a really tall creature thing with a weird hat and white, blue, and red stripes. It looked surprised to see me. The creature looked behind me and probably put two and two together. Next thing I knew is it grabbed my arm and pulled me closer to himself. I struggled as best I could, trying to kick it off of me, but it was insanely strong. He was holding me by my wrists and yelled something I didn't understand. As my struggling got weaker and weaker I started to shake. What were they going to do? Torture me? Kill me? Eat me alive? I shut my eyes and felt tears stream down my face. I was going to die. My life was over. I won't even be able to find out what my name is. "Hey, Hey, Hey, it's okay! Don't cry! We're not going to hurt you!" The one with the sunglasses said, trying to calm me down. "Meri, do you even know if they speak English? Or even knows how to speak at all?" I hear the tallest of the three say. I open my eyes and look over to see that another one, the person with the weird tail hat, was getting closer to me. I tried to step away as much as I could, which was hard when one of the most terrifying creatures is holding you by your wrists. "Hey, can you understand me?" He asked, crouching down a little. I didn't say anything as I glanced up at him. I just reluctantly nodded. "See she does know English!" "Well what's a child doing this far into a forest, all alone too!"

The maple leaf thing gently grabbed the sleeves of my hoodie and pulled me towards him, making me flinch. He glanced down at my arms and seemed to notice something, slightly rolling the sleeve of my hoodie up. "Where did you get these bruises and scratches from?" I tried to pull away, just noticing the small scrapes and bruises on my arm. I just shrugged. "It's on their legs too." The Sunglasses creature pointed out. I shifted slightly and tried to yank my arm back. "Hey, it's okay! I'm not going to hurt you." The maple leaf man said, using his sleeve to slowly wipe away some of the tears that had streamed down my face. I slowly put my guard down and stepped closer to him as he slowly let go of my arms. The other four looked tense, I mean I did struggle a lot and they probably expected me to just bolt but they all looked pleasantly surprised when I just stood there. "Wow Canada, you're really good at this." The one with sunglasses said, crossing his arms. 'Canada' only smiled as a response. "Why are you this far into the forest?" He asked me, gently holding my hands to keep me calm. "I-I don't know..." I managed to say, my voice sounded strained. As if I hadn't used it in a long time. "What's your name?" "I-I don't know." I said, tearing up again. Some of the others looked skeptical before the tall one spoke up. "They don't look like they're lying." Canada sighed. "Don't worry, we'll help you!" He said. Sunglass man and normal glasses man looked like they were about to object before a loud rustle was heard.

Suddenly a voice erupted from behind us. "Canada who the hell is that?"
