America, Germany and Poland were sitting in the lounge, finding out which classes they had during the year, marking special events in calendars stuff like that. Japan was in her room with Russia helping him and cleaning up his wounds. Russia was sitting on the floor while Japan was standing in front of him. Japan grabbed a small ice pack and placed  it over Russia's eye "why are you helping me Japan?" Russia asked in a monotone voice, Japans tail flicked from side to side "I just.. like helping people because.. I know.. what it's like.." her voice went quiet, as she looked away her eyes clouding over with tears before blinking them away, she smiled and looked back at Russia "anyway what happened? why'd you come home late?" Japan asked concerned, changing the subject "why do you have cat ears?" Russia answered back, Japan giggled "why are you so tall?" she questioned, Russia smirked "why are you so freakishly short?" he teased. Japan put the ice pack down and looked at Russia's closed eye "I have to be short or else I-" she cut herself off quickly "uh nope I uh just like being short! yeah" Russia knew something was up and gave Japan a questioning look "what were you going to say?" he asked, Japan shock her head "it's nothing" she knew she was bad a lying but it didn't hurt to try "I know you're lying, is it a secret?" if he could tell when she was lying maybe he'd be able to trick her into telling him.

"no! wait, yes! it's a secret! no one can know!" Japan said quickly while checking over Russia for any other injuries "oh really?" Russia questioned, Japan nodded her head and her tail swished from side to side, never seeming to stop. Japan stepped back when she found no other injurers "all done! how do you feel?" she asked "I'm fine, like I said at the start" Russia said standing up, Japan laughed nervously as she remembered that Russia was a whole lot taller that her "is this secret a bad secret? are you hiding something from everyone?" Russia asked, wanting answers "it's not bad and no, I wouldn't hide things from my friends!" Japan answered back, taking a few steps back from the country towering over her. Russia laughed "you are a really bad liar Japan, tell me, what are you hiding?" he said leaning closer to the smaller country, Japan blushed and shock her head "n-no never" she stood up straight and looked Russia in the eyes. Russia smirked and picked her up, holding Japan over his head she yelped in surprise and clung onto Russia "okay okay! put me down and I'll tell you!" Japan squeaked out, Russia placed Japan on her bed and leaned against the bed frame, waiting for Japan to tell him. Japan looked to the side "you can't tell anyone, not even Ame" Russia nodded, Japan sighed "I um I can.."
