In all fairness I did warn you
*Ghost pov*
I stared at the frightened woman in front of me. She looked around, fearful of the unknown and slowly backed up to the wall.
"H-Hello?" She asked cautiously. I smirked. This would be easier then i thought. She looked just as Dougall described her to be. She had raven black hair, combed over to the left, revealing a shaved patch of hair on the side of her head. Her hair flowed down over a black sweatshirt and stopped an inch or so above the waist of her light blue jeans. Her amber eyes were wide and desperately searched around for something to make sense of. I could sense the unease rolling off her in waves. When her back was pressed against the wall however, it seemed that she changed into an entirely new person, her eyes hardened, she stood on straight legs and clenched her jaw. "FACE ME YOU GUTLESS COWARD!!" She screamed while looking around for any sign of movement.
I felt my smile grow wider. Well, why the hell not? I made my self visible to humans. Her head snapped in my direction and instead of the horrified scream i expected, she tossed something at me, that burned!! I yelled in shock, pain, and anger as i fell to my knees, clawing at my face. I heard running foot steps and tried to stand up and see but whatever she threw at me got into my eyes i furiously rubbed them when i was forcefully shoved to the ground and tied with some kind of rope. I struggled against it and realized, i couldn't phase thorough, or teleport out. I squirmed furiously and screamed profanities at her. Until i felt a large force connect with my face. I rolled over on my back and sat up.
"THE FUCK LADY!" I screamed as i finally blinked out the substance and felt the burning fade. I glared at her. WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED?!?!?
*Sam pov*
I glared down at the ghost glaring up at me. His icy blue eyes were alight with rage and his shaggy blond hair fell over his face, making him glare at me between strands. He seemed to be in his early twenties, but you could never tell with ghosts. He struggled against the ropes.
"RELEASE ME MORTAL!!!" He yelled. I frowned and crossed my arms. He growled and struggled The ropes held and he struggled more.
"HEY!!!" I kicked his face, hard. He fell onto his back a sizzling rectangle shaped print adorned his forehead and I thanked my decision to get iron toed boots, even if it cost me a couple hundred dollars. "NOW LISTEN UP FUCK FACE, CUZ IM ONLY GONNA SAY THIS ONCE." I grabbed a handful of his hair, pulled him to his feet, then slammed his face against the wall. I leaned in close to his ear. "you're gonna leave this place, burn it from your mind, and never come back. I'll go my way, you go yours. Easy, simple, and straight forward. If you ever come back or don't agree to leave, then I will make you wish you were in hell. Do I make myself perfectly clear?" I hissed into his ear. He glared at me from the corner of his eye and nodded slowly. I threw him onto the floor. "Well, whats it gonna be?"
"Do you're worst." He spat. "I'm not leaving until I've watched the life drain from your eyes." He gave me a defiant smirk. I kicked the side of his head.
"WRONG-" I kicked his stomach, sending him across the floor. "ANSWER-" I stomped on his face. "BITCH!" I kicked him again. He groaned and coughed up the ghost version of blood. I grabbed his hair and pulled him to his feet, then dragged him to the room I originally planned to sleep in. I threw him in and locked the door.
I went over to where my boxes were and pulled out a handkerchief, then rummaged around until I found a container of sea salt crystals. I wrapped a bunch of crystals in the handkerchief and went into the kitchen. I got the handkerchief wet and made sure the crystals were wet before carrying it back to the room.
I opened the door and walked up to the ghost sitting on the ground. I pulled his head back and forced the handkerchief down into his throat, making him gag and scream at the same time. He struggled even more and twitched around on the ground from the pain, desperately trying to dislodge the handkerchief. I let him writhe on the ground for a few minutes before grabbing his hair and pulling the handkerchief out. He gasped and spat as steam escaped from his throat. "Ready to leave yet?" He glares at me.
"not until I've gotten revenge, you worthless scum." He said in a scratchy voice. I was about to shove the handkerchief back in when what he said hit me.
"WAIT WHAT!?" I put the handkerchief down and sat down in front of him. "Let me get this straight, you're after me, because you think I killed you!? Is that it?!" I groaned and flopped onto my back and could only imagine his confusion. "Look bub, I didn't kill no one and don't plan on doing so any time soon. So uh, sorry for the confusion but uh, you got the wrong girl." I sat up again. He was sitting in front of me with an odd mix between rage and confusion on his face.
"Impossible, Dougall told me a woman with your description helped him murder me!" As he said this he looked less and less confused and more enraged.
"WHAT!" I stood up. "HE KILLED YOU!?! I KNEW HE WAS SHADY BUT SERIOUSLY!!" Then another thought dawned on me. "Wait wait hold up, how many people did he kill and did he kill them here?" The ghost looked at me for a second before sighing.
"You really know nothing. THAT FUCKER LIED TO ME!!!! AHHHH!" He yelled again. I put my hand on his face.
"Calm down." I removed my hand. He looked at me like I was crazy. I walked over to the back of him and untied him. He jumped up. "Look obously this is a huge misunderstanding, but in all seriousness, you need to leave. I dont plan on sharing my house with anyone, especially not a ghost. So, uh, get!" I made a shooing motion with my hand. He gave me an "are you serious" look before rolling his eyes and disappearing. Of course I could still see him, but I didnt want him to know that. I turned and left, acutely aware that he was following me. I grabbed my blanket and salt then headed out to my truck. I got in and laid down on the seats, throwing the blanket over me and a bunch of salt. I was painfully aware of the ghost sitting on my hood, stareing at me. I pretended I didn't know and fell asleep.
*Ghost pov*
I watched her breathing slow down and become even as I sat on the hood of her car. What is wrong with her!? Not only did this lady tie me up, beat me, and freaking soaked my throat in crazy ghost acid, but she also let me go like I wouldn't attack her. But I didn't..... I was more curious as to how she got her hands on this ghost stuff....and why she would need it. And where I could get it. I jumped off her hood and went into the house.
I immediately found the discarded ropes and tried to pick it up. Only to feel a burning sensation spread through my hand and arm. I held back a scream as I pulled my hand away and waved it in the air. I groaned and looked down at the handkerchief.
I went back into the living room and rummaged around in her boxes until I found a large stick looking thingy. I went back to the room and poked the handkerchief until it fell apart and spilled its contents. Salt. Fucking salt. I face palmed. MY WEAKNESS IF FUCKING SALT!? WHAT!? I groaned. I'm basically screwed if I don't do something about this salt problem. I looked down at the salt and nudged it with my foot, earning a small sizzling sound and a yelp from me. I sighed and poked it with the stick until I had finally made it out side. Next I found all her salt and weird ropes and burned them out side. By then, the sun was starting to come up. HAHA!! NO MORE SALT!!!! I'M FREE!!!! I started actually laughing.
"No stopping me now!!!" I said to my self. Suddenly something hard and painful connected with my side and I fell down, screaming. I tried to get up but was stopped by a large boot on my back.
"Great. Now I have to get more salt. Thanks." A sarcastic voice came from above me. I felt my hands jerked behind me again. "Heh. Good thing I keep extra rope in my truck." Wait, WHAT!? I felt my hands bound behind my back and I growled. WHO IS THIS CHICK!?
*Sam pov*
I grabbed his shoulder and pulled him up, then threw him over my shoulders. He made a weird half squawk-scream and flailed around, nearly falling off. I threw my arms over his knees and shoulders and started walking to my car.
"Wait where are we going! Put me down! HELP! RAPE!" I rolled my eyes and squeezed him.
"Shut up!" He was quiet as i walked to my truck. I opened the passenger side door and threw him inside. I shut the door and got in on the driver's side. He was splayed awkwardly on the seats. I rolled my eyes and helped him right him self. I put on the pair of aviators i keep in my truck and started the engine. I turned us around and started driving towards the town. I glanced at him from the corner of my eye from time to time. He always had the most confused look. I sighed. "First i'm getting more rope, then i'm driving you out to the desert where ill leave you."
"WHAAAAT! NO WAY YOU CANT!" He yelled. I looked over at him.
"Actually, i can. I told you to leave. Yesterday. Maby if you hadn't destroyed my stuff i would have given you another day." I looked back at the approaching town. "Sorry." i mumbled so he couldn't hear me. I glanced over at him again. He was looking straight forward out the windshield. His hair was pushed out of his eyes and i saw just how icy blue they looked compared to his pale complection. His mouth was curved down in a frown and he seemed to be focused on something, when in reality he looked lost and hopeless. Like a kicked puppy that doesn't know why he was punished. I looked away. No. I am not taking pity on a ghost. No way in hell. I focused on the road for the remainder of the drive.
Once we got to town, i glared at him. "You need to be quiet and not move, ok? Ill only be a second." I stopped in front of a hardware store, got out, locked the truck, then speed walked inside. I was probably inside for a minute and a half before i came racing out and back to the truck. I quickly got in and glanced at my still trapped companion, who was still frowning and looking out the window. I tossed the rope out a back window and into the bed of the truck before starting it up and heading in the opposite direction of my place.
I came to a stop after driving about six miles out of town. I turned to my ghostly companion.
"Last stop. Get out." He glared down at his feet. I rolled my eyes, reached once him, and pulls the latch for the door. Then I moved over so I was right next to him, and pushed him out. He glared up at me from the ground. "Hey don't say I didn't warn you." I closed the door and drove off, watching him in my rear view mirror until he disappeared.
I drove to a gas station once I got back into town. I sighed at the small amount of funds I had left. I reluctantly handed them over to the machine and started to fill up my car. I turned around when I heard running footsteps coming my way. It was a guy. In a suit. With a briefcase. I didn't think much of it until I realized, a bit too late, that he was shimmering. He turned and made eye contact with me as he ran through a light pole. He slowed down and stopped. I quickly looked away and put the gas hose back.
"Mis? Uh hello, mis? Can I speak with you for a second?" The man started jogging up to me. I ignored him and got into my car, starting it and starting to pull out. "WAIT!! NO ITS IMPORTANT! !" The man started to run now. I sped off and grabbed my salt, preparing to throw it on the passenger seat. After a few seconds he appeared and I dumped the salt on him. He screamed but, to my disappointment, stayed in my truck.
"Dammit......that hurts!!" He growled at me. I glared at him before sighing and falling back in my seat.
"That's the point." I replied. He groaned and shook salt out of his hair.
"So.....you saw me back there.....even though i was invisible. Explain." I pulled over to the side of the road and turned to him.
"Look, I don't want this information becoming public. Just forget I ever saw you, ok?" I made plans to escape in my head. I hear Arizona is nice this time of year....
"What? Oh don't worry about me telling anyone. In fact, I want to offer you a job." He smiled.
"A what!?"
"How would you like to be part of the local un-dead enforcement department?"
