Blondie

*Sam pov*

As i was driving home, Jasper had the largest smile on his face.

"Hey." I asked softly. He looked over at me.

"What?" He replied.

"Aren't you suppose to disappear to where ever you go in the night?" I asked as i stared at the setting sun in front of us.

"Well, uh, i don't really have a place.......so uh, i was kinda thinking i could, uh, stay with you?" He asked shyly. I turned my attention to him.

"Absolutely not." I replied.

"Oh come on, please? I need a place to stay. I can't stay in that bunker forever its cold and there are too many unemployed ghosts hanging around. It's crowded. Plus, i can protect you while you sleep and make sure no other ghosts try to get you. Besides, were partners."

"Not officially." I grumbled back.

"If that's your only argument, then i guess that means i win." He smirks and crosses his arms proudly. I glare at him for a few seconds before dragging my attention back to the road.

As soon as we got back, i face palmed. Jasper looked at me like i was crazy.

"What was that?" He asked cautiously as he leaned forward and looked between me and the house. I shook my head and waved him off as i got out of the car. Sitting on the porch, was the blond ghost from earlier. He glared up at me as i got closer. He had a set look in his eyes and his jaw was firm. I could tell, he wasn't going anywhere. Jasper got out of the truck and started walking towards me.

"Why are you here." I growl at him. He looks behind me at Jasper.

"Why is he here? I thought you didn't want to live with ghosts." He replied with a smirk. I glared at him.

"That is irrelevant. Don't answer my questions with questions of your own." I growled.

"Uh, who are you talking to?" Jasper asked, slightly nervous. I waved him off.

"Look, i was murdered here. If you just give me access to your basement, i'll be out of your hair for good. OK?" Blondie replied. I narrowed my eyes in suspicion.

"What's in my basement." I asked suspiciously.

"My body of course, i'll just burn my body and be done with this whole ghost thing." He seemed to deflate for a second and i could see a tired look to him, but only for a second before he was his normal snark-ish self again. I thought about it for a second.

"Jasper, i need your help. Come here." He walked up behind me and looked over my shoulder. I could feel the presence of his body behind me as he looked down at.....nothing. I could basically feel his confusion.

"Ok, uh, what am i helping you with, exactly?" He asked confused. I smirked to my self. I've really out done my self with the ropes this time. I lean down and start to untie the ropes, my fingers gently brushing over the runes for "silence", "invisibility", "strength", "slow", and "intruder" . Not only did these runes make it ghost-proof, but it also made the ghost unable to be seen or heard by anyone except me and only i could move the ropes. Once the ghost was free, jasper took a step back in shock. I reached forward and grabbed the wrists of the ghost in front of me.

"Jasper, grab him and follow me." I turned and pushed the ghost to Jasper. He quickly wrapped his arms around blondie and followed me into the house. I walked past all my random junk and down a short hallway towards an old looking door. On my way i grabbed some matches and a flash light.

Once i was at the door, i tried the nob. Locked. I shrugged and kicked the door in. A dimly lit flight of stairs and a weird musty smell assaulted me as i took my first steps down.

"uh, what exactly are we doing? Who is this guy? Why am i restraining him?" Jasper asked slowly as he followed me. I turned on my flashlight once i got to the bottom.

"That is an annoying ghost that was murdered here. I'm gonna burn his body." I replied as i shined my light around. We were in a small concrete room with several doors leading to different places. Suddenly i heard an ear piercing scream. I whipped around and saw Jasper struggling to hold the ghost as he screamed and thrashed around.

"NO!!! STOP!!!! LET ME GO!!!!" He yelled as he thrashed and finally broke free. He fell to the ground and crawled towards the stairs, his eyes were unfocused and had a foggy gray film covering them. Oh shit. He's having a flash back. I glanced at Jasper who looked confused. I sighed and walked over to the guy. He was still trying to crawl to the stairs. I kneeld down in front of him and gently put a hand on his shoulder. He screamed and looked at me with terror in his eyes. The film started to go away and i saw tears start to form. His eyes became soft blue pools, spilling out onto his cheeks as he stared into my eyes. I looked at him with compassion. He made a choking noise and wrapped his arms around me, holding on to me tight. I hesitantly returned the gesture and i felt his body shake as he sobbed into my shirt.

"hey there, its all right. you're ok now. no one's gonna hurt you. shh." He sobbed and i shifted my legs a bit so that it wasn't as awkward for me. We were both on our knees. His sobbing died down a bit, but he still held on to me. "Are you ok?" I asked softly. He made a small confirming noise. "Ok, lets go back upstairs, ok?" He nodded again. I stood up and he stood up right after me and quickly walked up the narrow flight of stairs. I was right behind him and Jasper behind me. Once out, we all went into the kitchen and sat on counters.

"I-im sorry." He hiccuped. "I-i didn't know that would h-happen." He looked down at his hands carefully hiding his face.

"It's not you're fault. You did nothing wrong. Flash backs can be very hard for ghosts." He looked up at me, his eyes held battles and scars from the past. Yet, he had a forced smile on his face. I admired his effort to brush off the incident like it was nothing.

"Thank you, but this brings up another problem. Only i can find my body and no doubt he's hidden it somewhere down...there." He hopped off the counter and turned toward the hall way. "I have no choice." He walked towards the hallway. I hesitated. I want this guy gone. I glanced over at Jasper, who was giving me a look that said, "Stop him! He can't do this!" I sighed, jumped off the counter, and grabbed him shoulder. He looked back at me.

"Look. We both want to be out of each-others hair right? Well, going back down today is not going to help. Stay here tonight and try again tomorrow." I checked my watch. "It's late, and i know you guys don't sleep, but as a living human being, i do. So keep it down and don't kill each-other. I yawned and walked away, stopping at the end of the kitchen. "And if i wake up in the middle of the night and either of you are starring at me, i will personally chain you to the back of the house for a week. Do i make myself clear?" I growled and looked back at them. They both nodded. I turned and left, going out to my truck. I climbed in and laid down on the seats. I couldn't sleep. I starred out the windshield and watched the stars. My mind started to drift and i remembered something very important.

Shit i haven't eaten anything for three days. My stomach made a loud noise and i groaned as hunger hit me. Dammit, this always happens when i stick around ghosts. I sat up and jumped out of the truck and walked back towards the house, realizing just how bad off i was when i felt dizzy just walking too the house. I have to remember to eat when i'm around these shits.

I opened the door and walked in. I could hear talking from the kitchen. I sneaked close enough to hear, but not close enough to be detected.

"-and that's why i think you need to back off. If you so much as lay a hand on her i'll-"

"You'll what? Kill me? Ha! I already dead." Blondie cut off Jasper. What? Whats going on?

"What does she matter to you? All you want is to burn your body! That's suicide! There is no way you don't have an another plan in mind. I think you should stay away from her when you "burn your body"." Jasper's smooth voice was replaced with a cold, harsh, tone. One i didn't really expect from him.

"I think you need to lay off, you seventies hipster. Why does she matter to you? Why-" My stomach cut off Blondie. I could tell both of them froze and i walked around the corner, pretending to not have been eves dropping. I stopped and looked between the two. They both looked slightly guilty, Jasper covered it up first.

"Sam! I'm sorry, did we wake you?" He had an apologetic tone as he came up to me and smiled, wrapping an arm around my shoulders, shooting a glare at Blondie. I looked up at him warily.

"Uh...no..." I pulled myself out from his arm. "Nothing like that, It's just that i haven't eaten in three days or so and i was wondering if either of you wanted to go shop lifting with me." Jasper hesitated a bit too long because Blondie offered.

"I'll take her, you hold down the fort. OK? OK! Lets go!"He walked over to me, shooting a glare at Jasper. I pretended not to notice as i motioned for Blondie to follow me as i went out into the hallway and picked up the ropes i used for Blondie.

"OK were all ready to go." Blondie looked down at the ropes, shrugged, grabbed my hand and teleported us to the town. "OK hold still for just a moment." I pulled his hand up a bit and tied one end of the rope around his wrist and the other end i wrapped around my arm. "Stay close, no one can hear us or see us. We also wont be caught on cameras. Just grab stuff that lasts, like chips and water and stuff like that." I pulled him along as we walked down the sidewalk. There was no one out and the street lights cast an eerie glow over the pavement. Blondie chuckled.

"What's so funny?" I looked over at him. He shrugged.

"Nothing, it's just, I came here to kill you and now i'm helping you rob a convenience store. It's just odd, you know?" I shrugged.

"Not that odd, you came to free your spirit, even though the manner in which you free your self has changed, your determination has not. That's good." He glanced sideways at me. I ignored his stare at first, but after a few more seconds i stopped and turned to him. "What?" He shrugged with a light of mystery sparkling in his eyes.

"Nothing." He started walking again. I walked after him, slightly annoyed. I looked across the street and saw the gas station i was at earlier.

"Hey, lets cross the street." He looked over and nodded. We started across when something made me freeze. A weird feeling came over me and my vision started to swim. I looked around frantically for the source. A small flicker of movement caught the edge of my vision. I turned toward it but it was gone.

Suddenly i was made aware of another fact. There was a bright light shining all around us. I turned around and saw a car speeding up the road towards us, no more than twenty feet away. I froze. Suddenly something tackled me and pushed me out of the way. I fell on my back and squeezed my eyes shut as the lights passed. I slowly opened my eyes and looked up directly into a pair of icy blue pools. A few strands of blond hair were falling onto his face and tickling my forehead. His weight on top of me suddenly became apparent, and a bit awkward. He was gazing into my eyes and seemed to be searching for something. When i focused on him he sighed and a small smile formed on his face, but he quickly covered up with a frown.

"Are you alright?"
