"I see. Understood." Soo Yeon said through comms. "We'll discuss the details when you come back."

"........" Soo Yeon said nothing and sighed."Replacer Bishop has escaped. Seo Yoon betrayed us. They must be trying to stabilize the Qliphoth factor along with new discovery that Y/n's indeed possess the Ascension Factor. Everything is going according to your predictions, Happy now?"

"Boss?" Soo Yeon said to the cube-shaped robot in front of her.

"Did I? I'm not sure I remember?" Machine G.A.P said in ignorance.

*Sigh*" Y/n nearly lost control when his former guardian was hurt. Are you sure you don't want to tell him what inside his body is, Administrator?" Soo Yeon asked.

A hologram appears and it shows a person sitting on a chair.

"Hm, did you know that his bloodline is filled with tragedy?" Administrator questions Soo Yeon who looks shocked.

"What?" Soo Yeon said in shock.

"Mainly, It's called the curse of death and jealousy." The Administrator answered Soo Yeon's question. "The bearer of Ascension Factor is exceptionally powerful enough to go to toe with 'them'. But they had one drawback, they need time to adjust."

"However, with the power that is capable of saving humanity, it attracts those with sinister intentions. Mainly, to produce strong bloodline, political bargain, and many things including to cloning them." Administrator explained.

"This..." Soo Yeon said hesitantly understanding what was implied.

"It does not stop there. The descendants of that bloodline each go through worse than their ancestor does because many want their factor even going so far as to use their daughter, It is because of this that suddenly that bloodline disappears."

"What happened?" Soo Yeon asked.

"They went into hiding. They don't openly show that they are strong or bearer of that bloodline." Administrator explained."Because of this also, they are often called bringers of death because they alone can survive Counterside given enough time while everybody else cannot."

"Then, the curse of jealousy..." Soo Yeon trailed off.

"Correct, because they are capable of such things, many people want that bloodline gone or assimilated in their family. That factor is indeed valuable because it not only affects combat ability but all entirely of their being."

"Meaning?" Soo Yeon asked.

"Let's see, let's put it this way, if a normal child is learning mathematical formulas from high school, what would happen?" Administrator asked.

"They will become confused?" Soo Yeon answered hesitantly.

"Indeed, but if that child bears the Ascension Factor, would you believe me that the child can learn it if you give him two hours to adjust without prior knowledge?" Administrator said.

"That..." Soo Yeon said understanding where the curse comes from.

"Indeed, that bloodline can incite sinister intentions." Administrator said.

"Then, where did that power come from?" Soo Yeon said implying Y/n's ridiculous nanites ability.

"That....unfortunately, I don't know." Administrator answered.

"I see." Soo Yeon said

"Cheer up, not like he's gonna die." Administrator said causing Soo Yeon to blush.

"I'm not worried about him!" Soo Yeon said in flustered tone." He has Master with him!"

*Smirk* Administrator smugly smiled.

Scene Change

3rd Pov

"So....basically, we got nothing." Sylvia said with a sigh closing her eyes."Even with Loner's ability."

"How pathetic." Kyle said taking Y/n's attention."Did I just waste 13 hours 36 minutes 24 seconds of my time for this ridiculous briefing?" Kyle said making Y/n's eyes baffled.

"As I always say, every bullet, weapon, and even my own underwear is being paid by taxpayers' money," Kyle said showing his meticulous side.

Y/n Pov

I heard what he said but duh, how meticulous is his thinking, Is he OCD or something?

"It appears he's trying to embody someone he idolizes and act in response based on that mindset."

'Thanks for the comment, Omicron.' I thought with a sweatdrop.

"Well, I buy my own underwear...." Sylvia said nervously.

"And where did you think your salary comes from?" Kyle said retorting Sylvia with an undeniable fact."Precious taxpayer's money."

'Wait, aren't I one too?' I thought hearing that statement.

"Yes, you are one of them, Master," Omicron said without hesitation.

'......So, do I technically pay fees for the nation to play control?' I thought ridiculously.

"....No comment," Omicron said.

'....Nevermind.' I thought before looking at Kyle who berates Sylvia who is getting nervous and she looks at me.

"Hah, I never knew that there was someone who could make Sylvia nervous." Shi Yoon said nonchalantly.

"For every predator, there is yet another predator," Hilde said wisely for some odd reason.

'Is it because you keep getting reckless when doing company matters?' I thought about Hilde and Soo Yeon.

"Loner...do you have something....anything?!" Sylvia said desperately.

"Sylvia...are you trying to loaf through your contacts? As head of internal affairs, I'm a bit compelled to put you through the procedure needed for information gathering." Kyle said disappointed.

I sigh softly and look at Hilde, Shi Yoon, and Mina whose body language is fidgeting looking at me.

"Have something to say, Mina?" I asked Mina who jumped slightly and nodded at me.

"Uh...well, Bishop did send me something but it was just probably garbage....." Mina said trailing off.

I heard what she said and I realized Mina was at her lowest point. Her backstory is a mystery with no known relatives or parents which is suspicious and her combat ability is entirely self-taught and no military training or anything which is impressive but she is merely a girl who had to stand on two feet after her sister was in a coma which differs from Seo Yoon backstory.

I had to do something. I will live in this world for a long time. I know Omicron can help me but she will put in the highest priority and end up excluding others which is dangerous because isolation is one of human's greatest fear.

Because loneliness can poison your mind.

Even if the step I made is uncomfortable, I have to do it.

"Mina, let's look at it first," I said to her and she looked at me nodded, and sent the data to Sylvia.

Sylvia then opens her console and looks at the data Mina sent.

"This...this, where did you get it?" Sylvia said looking at Mina who looked at her.

"B-Bishop," Mina replied hesitantly.

Sylvia's mood then changes."Look here, preachy bastard. See what we got here?" Sylvia pointed to her console to Kyle who turned back to look at her.

"This better not be another lame excuse......" Kyle trailed after seeing the data. "Oh...."

"Well, what do you say, kid?" Sylvia boastfully said. "While you and muscle head are busy pissing off, I found our fundamental solution for our problem!"

"You just got lucky." Kyle said averting his eyes elsewhere and looking at me."Excuse me, but are you the last holder of Ascension Factor?"

Immediately, Mina, Shi Yoon, and Hilde were on guard and I was standing like it's normal thing.

"Hmmm, yeah, I am. Do you intend to take some of it for national gains?" I said with a nonchalant voice and with a poker face.

"That's not-" Kyle said before Sylvia yanked his collar and closed his mouth.

"Sorry about that! I realize I need to chat with Kyle for a little bit!" Sylvia said pulling Kyle using his collar.

"imh nuht! Rwelewese mih!" Kyle said struggling with taking off Sylvia's hand.

Sylvia then pulled Kyle out of Command Room and I sighed feeling watched and turned my head to Fenrir Squad.

We stared at each other for a while and Hilde broke off the silence.

"Well, go say something, Robot," Hilde said in her usual manner.

'Omicron, do you know about this?' I thought.

"........Yes."

'Just a question. Is it because it's for my benefit?' I thought.

"Yes," Omicron said without hesitation.

'I...see.' I thought before paying attention to Commander Hilde.

"Commander, if it's possible, tell me anything I should know about my factor," I said to Hilde who looked at me and sighed taking Shi Yoon and Mina's attention.

"....Fine, Ascension Factor or another name is Adaptation Factor. It has the ability to adapt as its name implies. The only drawback is you need time to adjust. I had no idea you were part of his bloodline, though." Hilde answered shocking Mina and Shi Yoon.

'Wait, who's him?' I thought suspiciously.

"Then?" I asked needing more answers.

" For example, let's say if a counter who has a fire ability strikes you, you need time to adjust and gain the opposite power along with the ability that strikes you. In this case, fire's opposite is ice and you will gain it along with fire ability." Hilde said with a closed eye.

Then, suddenly, Kyle enters with Sylvia and looks at us, and coughs.

"We'll talk about this later, Robot," Hilde said to me and looked at them.

"Do apologize, we strayed from the original objective for a while," Kyle said looking at Sylvia who glanced at me.

"However, given the credibility of that information contains Replacer's HQ and other information regarding Lost Ship and mysterious phenomena. It must be taken with a grain of salt." Kyle said to us.

'Indeed, why did she give it then? It doesn't make sense.' I thought.

"There is a possibility that Bishop is laying traps, however, based on analysis of the scan, she does not have the intent to lay traps," Omicron said which I consider.

'Then....' I thought trailing off.

"I glossed over it but this data integrity is making it nigh-impossible to fabricate it." Sylvia rebuked Kyle's theory. "Besides, it's not like we got any other lead. If it's a trap, well..." Sylvia said glancing at me.

"Just a question, Sylvia, what is the coordinates?" I asked Sylvia because I was suspicious of one thing. Why did Bishop give it and where does it lead?

The lead part is getting me suspicious.

'Delta Seven is part of the government Counter's soldier. Yet, they didn't find Replacer's HQ until now. Which leads to one thing. How did Replacer hide? Even if it has someone from the military and hides to Counterside, how come Delta Seven who has more resources than a measly company isn't finding them?' I thought.

"...It's Schrodinger Type Quantum Tunnel," Sylvia said, and my mind, well...

'.........I don't get it.' I thought with a deadpan face.

"I know in general what is Schrodinger's theory but are you trying to play me?" I said with an accusing look.

"Of course not!" Sylvia shouted.

"You know that term Y/n?" Mina asked surprised.

"Yeah, I did read a lot of science fiction books but it often had confusing terminology in it. So, I had to research it. Not that I understand it, though." I said with a sweatdrop.

"Ah, never take you for a bookworm." Shi Yoon nodded.

"Considering his mouth with that craft of insult, I ain't surprised," Hilde added her two cents.

"Well, I grow 'up' unlike someone," I said pissing off Hilde who had a tick mark and was being held by Shi Yoon.

"There, there, Master." Shi Yoon said struggling to match Hilde's strength.

"Assuming what you said is true, what's that?" I asked Sylvia who composed herself.

"Basically, it is a portal dimensional that opens only when the observer is present, Once it is used, the energy level will shift and even if you use the same coordinates, you will not appear in the same place again," Sylvia answered my question.

"Wait, does this mean that it uses the quantum principle that said supposition thing?" I said gaining everybody's attention.

"Y-yes," Sylvia said shocked.

"Okay, let's not talk in science, I'm pretty sure nobody here is pro at it," Hilde said

"Master, please leave me to teach that-" Omicron said but I cut it off.

'No, denied.' I cut off Omicron immediately.

"So, It's one use only." Shi Yoon concluded.

I nodded. Then, I feel Mina's hand tugging my clothes and I turn to her.

"Need something?" I asked Mina who was fidgeting.

"Umm....can you explain what that's earlier?" Mina asked me.

"Uh...it basically that it continuously changing and had no specified or fixed point in general. Just think that a race track had a fixed point." I said and Mina nodded.

"But Schrodinger Type is different. To put it simply, the race track finish line varies every time." I said finishing my explanation and Mina nodded and said.

"Got it," Mina said.

"Seeing as their intel, I'll issue a recall right away," Kyle said and I shook my head. "Is there a problem?"

"The time it needs to assemble will change it," I said and Sylvia nodded.

"I see, What forces do we have at our disposal?" Kyle said and I sweatdrop sensing déjà vu.

"Us two, Fenrir Squad, and..." Sylvia said before cutting off.

"We're in! " Yumi appears along with Soyoung.

"Um....Major, this isn't in our jurisdiction, you know?" Soyoung said helplessly and looked at me and beamed up making me dread. "Lil bro! come here! Your big sis is fine now thanks to you! Come!" She said with a smile.

"Uh....how about no?" I said and she walked to me and I back step by step and she jumped towards me. "Gah! Back off, sis! I can't do my job properly if you keep hugging me! Besides, this is dangerous for you!"

"Aww, you care!" Soyoung said and I looked at Hilde and pointed her to Soyoung.

"Sure," Hilde said allowing Soyoung to follow me.

"We're coming too!" Eujin said surprising us.

'Where do people keep popping up and how did they know?' I thought.

"Eavesdropping," Omicron said.

'......That being said, you owe me an explanation, Omicron. Tell me all about it when this is over.' I thought sternly.

"Y-Yes." Omicron stutter.

"How about you guys?" Sylvia asks Hilde specifically about ALT Squad.

"........." Hilde contemplates in silence.

"I'm sure......There must be some kind of misunderstanding." Eujin said meekly.

'Right, sure.' I sarcastically thought.'But before that, Omicron, did Seo Yoon specifically betray us?'

"Not really, however, it should be noted that she didn't lie about getting stronger."

'Then, why?' I thought to Omicron because I don't really have any knowledge and I didn't even change a thing when I had knowledge either.

"Excluding the betrayal did not lie, but still do it," Omicron said.

'Wait....that means.....' I thought before realizing that Seo Yoon did not but I chose to keep quiet to avoid further misunderstanding.

"She must've been blackmailed...or something....Whatever it is we must find out the truth!" Eujin said determined.

'No, I highly doubt Commander gonna be moved by that.' I said sighing mentally seeing the ALT Squad trust their leader.

"You may not." Hilde refused their request shocking ALT Squad.

"W-what! Why?!" Eujin said in shock.

"Seo Yoon has betrayed us. YOUR Leader." I said emphasizing what Hilde wanted to say. "How about what happened? Did you forget you do SOMETHING?"

The ALT Squad flinched over what I said.

'I know I get the gist of what going on but I need confirmation.' I thought about Seo Yoon's betrayal. 'Omicron, is it possible that there are two other people that time?'

"Yes. There are two people in the same area." Omicron said.

'That two-person....is it 'them'?' I thought in a serious manner.

"......Yes."

"B-but that....Misunderstanding." Sobin said and I sighed.

"I know but Commander is the one making a decision," I said.

"The ALT Squad will standby at HQ. The misunderstanding will be resolved after I return." Hilde said in an authoritative voice.

Omicron Pov

The ALT was dejected and left from command room slowly. Seeing their distressed faces and wanting to let them live so that they can know the truth from their captain's mouth, I tell Omicron to build something.

An orb of blue that contains sparkle-like stars appears in front of my hand taking Fenrir Squad and the rest that will go dive attention.

"Lin." I said to the ALT Squad who looked back at me, especially Xiao Lin."I'll lend you this. So, you guys can stay alive and protect HQ in meanwhile." I said to Lin and threw it to her and she caught it.

"What's this?" Lin said inspecting the orb.

"I'll give you a hint on how to use it. Keyword: Gravity." I said before the ALT Squad returned to the HQ.

"What did you give, Robot?" Hilde asked me.

"Something to keep them alive at the very least. Though, I'll only be lending it to them for a while." I said.

"That doesn't answer my question," Hilde said with an accused look along with Mina and Shi Yoon.

"Let's just say. it can use gravity to help." I said."And yes, I will tell you guys when this is done." I said to Fenrir Squad." And no, though, I'll give you a hint later, Sylvia."

"Fine......" Sylvia said.

"Alright, let's go. We have a hunt to do." I said to myself. Though, everybody heard what I said and they smiled a little bit.

3rd Pov

Well, Fenrir is a wolf after all.

The wolf that had their pride questioned and time to show wolf is dangerous to mess with.
