3rd Pov

The situation at the previous rendezvous operation is in total disaster due to being ambushed by Replacer Syndicate. Sylvia successfully manages to disrupt the ambushed temporarily by hijacking their technology making them retreat for a while. Mason then called them but got attacked making Jerry's back on fire who is one of Tommy's friends and both of his friends, Tommy and Mickey are erasing the fire on his back. Although, Mason is not faring any better with his assistant complaining but was cut off by an attack from Replacer Syndicate. Then, something just fall nearby them and Mason's assistant reported Mason shouted to everybody nearby to take cover.

The communication is then interrupted. The situation is getting more chaotic and everybody is getting panicky time is short making them desperate and Sylvia proposes that attack one side and extract Mason and link up to the Lost Ship. Then, Soo Yeon orders ALT Squad to extract Mason. After ALT Squad leaves, Soo Yeon and Sylvia are attacked but survive and wonder why the sound outside is quiet. Both of them realized that Replacer Syndicate is after ALT Squad.

At ALT Squad, they were having trouble destroying Replacer troops before a projectile came to them forcing Seo Yoon and Eujin to duck. The projectile turns out to be Replacer Bishop. Seo Yoon realized that Replacer's objective wasn't Lost Ship but ALT Squad. RB then reveals her intention which is to capture ALT Squad and both of their quarrel. The army of Replacer surrounds them and ALT Squad retaliated causing Seo Yoon to be defeated by Replacer Bishop and the rest of the ALT Squad is running away by Seo Yoon's order.

With this, the ambush has been done, the diversion worked and the Fenrir Squad is tricked.

Timeskip by Y/n meditating along with Shi Yoon.

The Coffin ship then finally arrived to see the aftermath. Seeing this, Y/n decided to call Mina.

Y/n Pov

" Mina." I said to Mina. She heard me and comes to me when I gesture for her to come here."About your friend, what I'm gonna say will make you mad at me but I need to say this."

"What is it?" Mina inquires.

".....You may have to kill your friend." I said without hesitation.' I know this will make her mad at me but she simply will get killed if she does the same thing as earlier.' I thought and clench my fist hidden in sight hiding my frustration.

"What? What do you mean?!" Mina said in a yelled whisper.

"Your friend...her objective would likely not match her organization...but you...also with this situation becoming more desperate...the company will do something drastic so as not to endanger their operation." I said truthfully because my knowledge is just only to Episode 3, not further.

"........... I....need some time to think......." Mina said to me. She was about to go away but I put a hand on her shoulder.

"if you want to shoulder to cry on, I'm here to help," I said and Mina nodded. With that, I retract my hand and she goes out along with me behind her.

"Those bastards went to town this time," Hilde said seeing the destruction of the rendezvous point.

"There's like nothing left here now." Shi Yoon pointed out.

I looked around to see what they said and just keep quiet.

"They burned everything to the ground." Shi Yoon said."And just things went good for the company...haha."

"....Commander," Mina said." I...heard a strange rumor..."

"There's plenty of those going on around. But don't worry, it takes more than that to put the company out of business. Then again, maybe it's better for you; at least you can collect unemployment benefits?" Hilde said.

"No, that's not what I was talking about," Mina said.

"What then? Your chance of getting an employee of the month bonus seems pretty slim now. Might as well give up on empty promises like that." Hilde said.

"I heard Seo Yoon's been taken." Mina said."Is it true?"

"So it seems," Hilde said.

"Why would...Narae does-" Mina said before remembering my word and choosing to keep quiet.

All this time I just keep quiet.

'Omicron, can you track where Replacer Bishop is?'

"It is possible."

'Through track?'

"It is possible."

'I see, please track it, then.'

"Understood."

'Thanks'

"You're welcome."

"Seems like you beginning to learn, Rookie," Hilde said making me hear it.

"Are we going to save her?" Mina said.

"Probably, but I have to discuss it with Soo Yeon first," Hilde said before meeting with Soo Yeon.

With that, I looked to the ground and Omicron do its work.

"Activating Augmented Reality."

Omicron then scans the ground from my view like from the Nano Machine comic.

"Scanning...Complete. Showing the track of Replacer Bishop."

Then, my view is showing footprints of many people scrambling together along with Replacer Bishop's foot. Suddenly, Eujin yelled making me look at her.

"What do you mean by you're leaving?!!!" Eujin yelled with Sobin holding her off.

"E-Eujin! P-please don't!" Sobin shouted to calm her down.

"Let go of me! Our Cap got kidnapped because of you guys!"

"And you just gonna leave? How heartless are you! Huh?!" Eujin said angrily.

"It's no use yelling at me. The top brass back home already made the call" Sylvia lamented.

"But still...This is outrageous!" Eujin shouted.

Soo Yeon then goes there and attempted to mediate them.

"What's all this fuss about?" Soo Yeon asked.

"Oh, hey, lady, I was just looking for you. Now that the handover is complete. We'll be heading back home. The payment should have been wired by now and we've fulfilled our mutual responsibilities...There's no reason for me to stick around any longer." Sylvia said.

"B-but...Could you p-please help a little more?" Sobin said."To find the Cap...we could really use your help."

"I told you we got our own crap to take care of," Sylvia said.

"W-what could that might really be?" Sobin asked Sylvia.

"Ugh...You really have nothing to gain from hearing that. But if you insist...Very well." Sylvia said."I've been thinking about what happened. According to our intel, one of the Replacer's Objectives is Lost Ship and I can count on it since we clashed multiple times in the past. But they suddenly lost interest in Lost Ship last night and mobilized large forces but stopped when they captured Seo Yoon. Why's that?"

" I don't understand, so I've reviewed the information from the beginning. Before Replacer Knight got killed by Loner. I've found out that Fenrir Squad encountered her before engaging ALT Squad." Sylvia said."This wasn't from official records, so, I had to hack black boxes of cars parked nearby. The footage shows that Replacer Knight ignores Fenrir Squad and seeks ALT Squad instead. That's odd since Fenrir Squad ruined their plan for the city. Doesn't it ring a bell? There must be something your boss is not telling me or ALT Squad is hiding something. Either way, it leads to the same conclusion. You guys are hiding something and I can't trust you to watch my back."

"..........." Eujin and Sobin are quiet.

'To be fair, I'm not supposed to be here in the first place.' I thought before looking at them.

"Well? Does that explain things to you?" Sylvia said.

"I see, thank you for sharing that story." Soo Yeon said." Although there is no malign intent....i suppose we can't resolve this misunderstanding right away."

"Yeah. Something like that. Anyways, bye."

All this time, I was actually trying to figure out where is Yoo Mina's School before getting an idea that I forgot.

'Omicron, can you hack Sylvia's drone and track whatever Mason and Seo Yoon eat earlier before? And can you erase the hacking trace after you've done it?'

"Understood, it is possible."

'Alright, do it.'

"Understood, hacking Sylvia drone....Finding out Seo Yoon's Location...Complete...Erasing trace of hacking....Complete...Erasing data cache and everything related to hacking...Complete...Showing user information."

Suddenly, a map sprung into my view and I look at it and compare it with my position.

"That settles it, then. Wait, where's that guy?" Hilde said gaining everybody's attention who looks at her and found I'm not there. Showing this time I actually used my hearing to know what was going on there. Hilde looks around and found me standing towards the location of Seo Yoon.

"Hey, what're you doing? Get ready!" Hilde said and I just give a thumbs up.

'I wonder what danger lies in this world? My nanites for some reason getting stronger each day...'

"That would be my doing, Master."

'Eh?'

"However, please finish the mission first so as to not distract yourself."

'Fine but you better tell me what you have done.'

"Understood."

Timeskip by Yoo Mina practicing shooting.

On the way to Mina's School

I walk quietly observing everything and seeing many broken building, cars, and streets. Then, a group of C.Os appears and Hilde commands us.

"C.Os incoming! Everybody, be careful!" Hilde shouted.

I then build Smack Hands shocking for those who don't know.

Then, I use Smack Hands to catapult me toward the group of C.Os and pull my arms back smashing them from above. Afterward, I destroy all of them and some even tried to run away but I pull them back using the drill function throwing them back to my vision. After I finish killing all of C.Os. I go back to Fenrir's team. Subsequently, I see Hilde keep looking at me for some reason.

"Destroyed all C.Os." I said with a poker face and Hilde nodded. Following that, we started walking towards the school with Eujin complaining that C.Os scraps is in her mouth. Hilde was beside me walking and Mina and Shi Yoon were in front of us.

"......." I said nothing.

"......." Hilde also said nothing.

"....You still haven't trusted me, didn't you?" I said to Hilde who could hear making her flinch but still continue walking." I don't know what made you so cautious with me but right now, we have a common goal."

"......" Hilde said nothing but nodded.

*sigh* I sigh seeing this situation and wondering how to solve it. Then, I heard Shi Yoon talking to Mina.

"Do you sense anything, Mina? I mean considering how my superhuman instinct is kicking in...I bet there's a secret lair somewhere here as well. I guess your friend got a knack for this supervillain settings, setting shop up in a place like this.....Mina?" Shi Yoon asked seeing Mina didn't respond." what are you staring at?"

"That..."

"That?" Shi Yoon asked.

"Just like any other old school." Shi Yoon commented."It seems quite abandoned a long time ago..."

"Considering the damage on one side, a heavy category C.Os must have rampaged here. Mina, do you know what happened to that school?" Shi Yoon asked.

"...That used to be my school..." Mina said and I goes towards her.

"You mean it happens when you go to school?" I asked.

"Yeah. It was when I need to take make-up classes." Mina answered.

"Didn't know you were actually a flunk," I said making Mina kick my leg.

"Ouch!" I shouted in pain." it's the truth, isn't it?"

"Initiating auto recovery..complete"

'This AI....'

"Hmph," Mina said before going to the school.

"You need to learn delicacy, Y/n." Shi Yoon said.

"Noted," I said.
