3rd Pov

"Seems like a warm welcome." Shi Yoon said looking at what Y/n doing. Then, an explosion occurred sending many charred C.Os and one was accidentally thrown at the ramp door lying motionlessly."Nevermind."

"I forgot Y/n had this streak sometimes," Mina said before jumping off along with Hilde and Shi Yoon.

Y/n Pov

After I punch it created explosions sending many C.Os flying. I then do a grabbing motion with my right hand which made many onlookers stop what they were doing. Slowly, a fire sword with no material appears and I swing it to C.O cleaving it in half, I do the same as my left but this time an ice sword appears.

"Time to dual wield then," I said to no one.

I then slash one C.Os using a fire sword and destroy mobility using an ice sword by freezing the ground making the army of C.Os behind me slashed earlier have an unstable foothold and ended up falling to the ground and unable to stand properly. Seeing this, I decided to make this quick and disperse my weapon and take a shooting arrow stance. Then, a bow made of fire appears and I pulled the strings fire arrows appeared and I take aim and released the strings toward the army of C.Os destroying them. Dispersing my weapon, I turn to the other Fenrir team who looks at me with some judgemental stare.

"I know I'm going overboard but to be fair, this is my first time in Counterside and I apologize if I'm not leaving any enemy behind," I said making Hilde looks at me shocked.

"And no, I don't have mind-reading power," I said.

"I haven't said anything?!" Hilde shouted to me.*Sigh*" Let's just get going." Hilde said to me and Shi Yoon and Mina. I then follow Hilde and destroyed the C.Os along the way and reached someplace that looked like the aftermath of the big battle.

"The air is all sticky. You feel that too, Shi Yoon, Y/n?" Mina said and I looked at her and tries to feel anything unfortunately nothing.

"I feel nothing though," I said to Mina meanwhile Shi Yoon did not reply.

"Really?" Mina said and thought to herself a little bit." I guess it's just me then." Mina shrugged and then looks at Shi Yoon."Shi Yoon? Are you okay? You haven't said anything. Spacing out like that."

Seeing this, I walk to Shi Yoon and wave my hand in front of his face making him snap out of it.

"Ah. Is there something wrong, Mr?" Shi Yoon asked me.

"First, you can just call me Y/n.Second, what's wrong? You've spaced out a lot and Mina is worried." I said.

"Really?" Shi Yoon said looking at Mina.

"Not that much. What are you even thinking about?" Mina asked Shi Yoon.

"I was just trying to figure out what sort of place this is." Shi Yoon answers Mina.

"Maybe a battlefield?" I said.

"Oh, what makes you think that, Y/n?" Shi Yoon asked me.

"I mean looks at that part there are a lot of craters, and there, a lot of destruction." Pointing out the direction making them follow my view.

"I see. That explains this then." Shi Yoon said picking something from the ground and showing it to me and Mina.

"What's this?" Mina asked.

"It's hard to tell under sand and dust but this is anti-corruption gear." Shi Yoon said and I touch it.

'Omicron, save the data material I touch and that is related to this gear'

"Certainly, Master. Completed."

"This here is a rifle. And this is a protective suit." Shi Yoon points out and I look at them and touch them and unearth them and just put them there.

"Completed.Completed."

"They're too damaged to say for sure. But they all seem to be from when the Old Administration was around." Shi Yoon said.

"Gears from Old Administration..." Mina muttered.

"You've heard of it too, haven't you?" Shi Yoon said."That being said where are your sword, Y/n?" Shi Yoon asked and looks around wondering where my sword is.

"Oh, that. Here." I said before holding out my hand and my space sword appears.

"Wha?!" Shi Yoon said shocked stumbling a little back.

"Huh?!!" Mina shouted."You can do that?!"

"Haha, let's just say it's my secret right now," I said smiling a little bit.

"Is this sword?" Shi Yoon asked me.

"No, they're not from Old Administration. This was made by someone I know." I said hiding the fact Omicron made this sword.

"This person must be something to create something like this." Shi Yoon said looking at the sword before I store it back in my storage.

"Regardless, the Old Administration technology was way ahead from its time..as antiquated as it may be now. It's definitely not normal to see many of these artifacts in one spot."Shi Yoon said looking around and said."Seems like you are right, considering the amount of this artifact."Shi Yoon said.

"Thanks for the compliment," I said.

3rd Pov

"So, you've come, Mina." Na Yubin said though there are a bit of bruise on his face."And you as well, Master along with you, Mr." Na Yubin said and looks at me.

"You've deserved that punch in the first place," I said as a matter of fact making everybody sweatdrops.

*Cough*" Welcome, and I admit I was rather bored waiting for you." Na Yubin said to them.

"You! What have you done with Narae?" Mina shouted to Na Yubin.

"Stand down, Rookie. I'll take it from here." Hilde said to Mina.

"But..."

"I told you, he's my business to settle. Didn't you say you wanted to save your friend? Just focus on your task at hand" Hilde said to Mina.

"......Fine," Mina said backing down and all this time Y/n is observing everything.

"Na Yubin," Hilde said.

"So, did you like my welcome party, Master?" Na Yubin said.

"Not really. It was pretty lame actually. In fact, we don't get much of it, thanks to Newbie." Hilde said referring to Y/n."I would expect more from Yubin I know."

"Haha, I'll try not to disappoint next time but Master...Do you even know who he is?" Na Yubin said.

"......."

"All this time, I've never even known a person like that exists." Na Yubin said."But no matter, you're here Master."

"So, you really did survive after all," Hilde said.

"I got lucky. I owe it all to your stern teaching, Master." Na Yubin said.

"Is that so? I'm glad I could be of help. So, why did you make me come all the way here? I'm sure there are more pleasant venues we could catch up. Like Coffee shop for instance." Hilde said.

"You think so? I mean, this place could use a little more decoration, but it's not so bad, isn't? After all, this is where everything ended and...began. I like this place. Sometimes, I come here to reminisce about the good old days... it puts my mind at ease."

"Regrettably, I don't share your penchant for collecting terrible experiences. Cut to the chase already. What are you plotting Yubin? And how are you involved with Replacer?" Hilde said.

"......" Na Yubin said nothing but smiled.

"Soo Yeon told me. You saved her. As peeved as I am for being kept in the dark, I guess I'm in no place to lecture. So, thanks for that, I guess. Now, if there's anything you wanted to talk to me about from that day, I'm ready to hear you out..."

Y/n Pov

As I watched, Hilde and Na Yubin talked, I looked at my surroundings and kept on guard because I feel unsettled and I realized my nanites are adapting to changes in the environment and hostile intentions. Then, Mina comes close to me.

"Hey, Y/n.What do you think they are talking about?" Mina asks me.

"I don't know to be honest." Though I can hear them at this distance."Maybe Commander past?"

"Really?" Mina said and I shrug.

Suddenly, Hilde is attacked by Ji Soo making me look at her, and goes on guard along with Mina.

"Mina, get behind me," I said to Mina. She nodded and get behind me and ready her weapon. Hilde then attacks Ji Soo along with Shi Yoon.

"I'm not sure what would be a proper greeting here. Pleased to make your acquaintance? Or long time no see?" Na Yubin said to Mina."Nice to meet you, would suffice. Well, nice to meet you, Miss Yoo Mina and Y/n L/n." Na Yubin said making me look at him with a poker face.

"No need to get defensive now." Na Yubin said."I'm not going to hurt you."

"Sure, that's all they say in history," I said recalling previous Y/n memory who was bullied.

"Oh, seems like you know your stuff, Mr." Na Yubin said and calmly walk to me and Mina.

"I think you should stop right there," I said making the floor freeze using the elemental boots that I keep on along with the gauntlet. The ice stops Na Yubin's movement and ice froze a few of his shoes.

"Oh." Na Yubin said

"Hey! Where's Narae? What have you done to her?! Did you hurt her, you bastard!" Mina said.

"Don't worry, your friend is perfectly fine. I'm surprised you still consider her a friend, seeing how she tried to kill you."

"That's....probably.... just misunderstanding. Those Replacer scumbags must've played some kind of trick on her.!!"

'Mina...' I thought to myself.

"If I could talk to her...Yes, I'm sure she'd return to the Narae I know!" Mina said making me recall my memory.

Flashback

Flashback end

Snapping out of it, I look at Na Yubin.

"Haha, the notion of old friends can prove to be unbreakable tethers for all of us." Na Yubin said."But could the same be said of someone who can't remember her own past? I'm curious to find out."

"Don't do anything stupid, Yubin! She's not who you think she is!" Hilde shouted.

'Now that I think about it, who are they talking about?' I thought but still on guard nonetheless.

"There's only one way to find out but first, get out of my way, Mr." Na Yubin said to me.

"If you think you're capable of making me, I'd like for you to try." I taunted him.

"Hmm, sure." Na Yubin said before dashing to me but I deflect his movement to the left by using wind to slap his directions elsewhere.

"You're interesting, Mr." Na Yubin said after regaining his balance.

"....."

"Now, don't be so cold, well, I guess you won't listen." Na Yubin said. Then, energy wings appeared behind him. He then dashed faster than before. I then forward as well and brought my arm to block Na Yubin's attack with him doing the same as well." I wonder what can you show me now?" he said before his other arm started to punch me with some mysterious red energy but I blocked it with my other arm and I kicked him but Na Yubin dodged it by retreating back. He then dashes forward and punches me but I dodged the energy then exploded hurting me.

"Agh!" I shouted retreating back holding my side.

"Initiating auto-recovery..complete."

With that, my wound is gone.

"Interesting." Na Yubin said seeing my wound gone.

I then dashed to him using wind as my choice of elemental this time. Na Yubin also dashed to me but get interrupted when Mina shoots using her rifle."Oh."

"Don't lose focus, lad" I said before punching him and pushing back.

"Ugh!" the force of the punch is strong enough to push him back."That hurts. Well, I won't hold back then."

He then runs toward me and I run toward him. I then pull my arm and the wind surrounding my gauntlet and punch him by doing the same but with red energy. The clash then repelled both of our hands creating a loud sound. After that, I ready my other arms making the wind surrounds the gauntlet and him doing the same as well. The same thing happens and Na Yubin decides to change it.

A large red energy then appears and Na Yubin swings his arms forward making the rocks sprout and forcing me to retreat.

"Y/n!" Mina shouted.

Na Yubin then flys up fast so that it looks like a red light shaped but then he then crashed to the ground on purpose making me lose footing. The wings behind Na Yubin then glow brighter.

"Sorry about this, Mr but I need to talk to her alone." He said. A gun then appears and he shoots me with it but I dodged it all. Then, a huge energy ball appears in front of his gun.

"A large amount of energy detected! Move, Master!!" Omicron said.

'Damn it!' I thought because I was dodging earlier my momentum is not good because I was distracted.

The ball then discharges its energy creating a laser and heading toward me. I then pull both of my arms in front of me. A small amount of wind balls in front of me is created before being engulfed by bright light pushing me somewhere else.

3rd Pov

"Y/n!! You bastard!" Mina shouted to Na Yubin before shooting him." Why?! Why damn it!! Answer me!!" Mina keeps shouting while shooting but Na Yubin effortlessly deflects it and walks to Mina then he snaps his finger and Mina's vision is blinded by bright light.

"Huff...Huff..."Mina panted from earlier."What's going on? Where am I?" Mina said looking around and she found herself in a weird place with red light and darkish vibes."I have to save Narae...and Y/n...I can't afford to waste my time in a place like this! Damn it!" Mina shouted and looked around and found Shi Yoon. She goes there and asks him.

"Do you have any idea what's going on, Shi Yoon?" Mina asked him.

"......"

"Everything turned weird when Yubin bastard snapped his finger! Not to mention, he beat Y/n!" Mina ranted."He and his eye-patched girlfriend just vanished! And there are C. Os swarming from everywhere!" Mina said looking around."Shi Yoon?"

"......"

"What the? What's happening?"

A wave of C.Os then appears and Mina goes instance.

"Hey, are you listening? We've got C.Os incoming!" Mina shouted to Shi Yoon?."Shi Yoon! Commander! Say something!"

"......"

"......"

"Damn it! Where is this place?! Y/n?!" Mina said suddenly a shadow that looked like Y/n appears.

"Y/n?" Mina said after seeing him." You're okay! Huh?" the shadow then points to somewhere else and another silhouette appears.

"What?! Who are you?!" Mina said to the silhouette."A-are you a ghost?"

"How rude. Why would you think I'm a ghost?"

"But I can't see your face. Can you see it, Y/n?" Mina said looking at the shadow-like Y/n.

"You can't see my face...wait...Who is he?" The silhouette then points to Y/n?

Suddenly, Y/n? is turned to dust shocking both of them.

"Y/n?! Y/n! what's happening now?!" Mina said trying to figure it out.

The shadow said before getting fully turned to dust.

"Wake....U...p." Y/n? said.

"Y/n?! what do you mean by wake up?! Damn it?!" Mina said.

"Interesting....by the way, come to think of it, I can't see your face either....You can perceive but not recognize..."

"Then,y-you are not a ghost, and what just happened earlier?"

"Of course not. As for earlier, even I don't know what happened."

Y/n Pov

'Ugh. I know Counterside characters are strong but not this strong!' I thought pulling myself out of the rubble. Suddenly, my head filled with an intense headache. Feeling this, I decided to ask Omicron.

'Omicron, what's happening?!' I thought to Omicron while holding my head.

"Connection with other dimensions. Permission to stabilize the temporary connection or abort it?"

'This when Mina falls into a shadowy-looking place, right?'

"Yes."

'Stabilizes the connection and how long do I have?'

"Currently, 15 seconds due to forced opening."

'Do it!' I hold my head tightly and was sent to a shadowy-looking place and realized Mina was in front of me.

"Y/n?" Mina said I looks around without turning my head and saw a silhouette and points it to her.

Then, both of them talked and the silhouette points to me and I was going away and said.

"W...ake...U...p," I said as best as I can and woke up from that place.

'Omicron!'

"Connection destroyed. Yes, Master? Is there anything you need?"

With that, I sigh in relief when I hear Omicron's voice.

'Nothing.'

Then, I stand up brushing the dust on my clothes.

'I had enough being thrown around...Time for me to raise up my show.'

With that said, I summon my space and grip it with my right hand and pull the sheath while the elemental gauntlet was still on.

'If the last time I imbued it with energy happened, in theory, elemental should also happen.'

"Correct, Master. The space attribute can be combined with elemental control."

'I see.' Hearing that, I ignited the fire from the right gauntlet enveloping the sword.

3rd Pov

"Get out of my way!" Hilde shouted to Ji Soo and swings her sword forcing Ji Soo to block using her sword sending her back by sheer force.

"To think the level is this far apart." Ji Soo commented to Hilde. Suddenly, a black shadow comes from behind but was pushed away by Na Yubin.

"Seems like my replacement is being trained right now." Na Yubin said. Shi Yoon stands up and goes to Hilde.

"Wha?" Hilde said and looks where Mina is and finds her sitting standing still but none of Y/n figure."Yubin, did you kill him? That Newbie?"

"hah, what would you do if I did, Master?" Na Yubin said making Hilde grip her sword tighter." You don't even know him that much yet you already give him a nickname?"

"You?!" Hilde growled and Shi Yoon gripped his big sword.

"That being said, you better act fast, Master." After he said that, a large amount of C.Os is rushing out."Because this is about to get ugly."

The C.Os then come to them in a wave meanwhile Na Yubin and Ji Soo jump back to a safe place. The C.Os then surround them.

"Master. How should we proceed?" Shi Yoon asks Hilde.

"Destroy the C.Os then go to rookie and finds Newbie," Hilde said firmly. Hilde then senses something coming." Shi Yoon! Avoid it!"

"What?!" Shi Yoon said but still following Hilde's words. A fire then burns and destroys all the C.Os. and then the fire then surrounds both of them and enlarges itself.

"This power....No way this much....Could it be?" Na Yubin said with Ji Soo just watching it in silence. The fire then burns the nearby C.Os then it stops enlarging. A person then lands in front of them with Mina on his back.

"Seems like I managed to get here in time." The person said revealing Y/n with his sword on fire and Mina on his back still with his gauntlet and boots on.

"Newbie?!" Hilde shouted in shock.

"Wow, Y/n. you need to stop giving us a scare, you know." Shi Yoon said with a sweat.

"Sorry. And here please take care of her. I will teach them a lesson." Y/n said dropping Mina to Shi Yoon and Shi Yoon put Mina down slowly.

"But Newbie?! He is-!" Hilde shouted but suddenly a bloodlust cuts her off.

"Commander, I know he is your business but you are taking a long time now and I want to pay him back. Is that acceptable?" Y/n said with a stern voice making Hilde flinch.

".....Fine. just don't kill him." Hilde backs down.

"Sure, as long he doesn't go too far." Y/n said before turning to the hordes of C.Os who are stopped by the fire barrier." Now, Na Yubin. Are you ready for your own demise?"
