"I've never expected to see you here....Of all places. Including you Mr.". Kim Sobin said seeing me and Mina here.

"Just call me Y/n, that's my name," I said to Sobin.

"I guess Chloe got my horoscope right after all. She said I'm going to meet an important person here today." Sobin said

"I bet you're the only one in the entire company who believes in her fortune-telling," Mina replied while munching on her food.

"You guys work in the same company?" I asked

"Yeah. The vice-president is the one who hired them and something happened," Mina replied finishing her food and I pays for it.

"R-really? I-I find they're very a-accurate...Do you really think it's superstition? Is it all in just my head?" Sobin said

"Depends on the person, for me, it's superstition because I will not know what happen in the future," I said

"Yeah...I mean whatever floats your boat, I guess." Mina said

"....."

*Stomach rumbling* The sound came from Mina who looks embarrassed.

"Not enough food yet?" I said making her nod."Alright, go order your food, I'll pay."

"R-really?" Mina said surprising Sobin who looks at me talking to Mina like this.

"I-i can pay for your food too, Mina," Sobin said making me and Mina looks at her.

"I thought you guys hated me," Mina said

"What? No!" Sobin said

"A-actually, our cap didn't really mean to do your harm either...I mean, you went through all that trouble because of us....And you rescued us...So...I mean..." Sobin said making me look at her and she notices me."Okay, thanks for the offer but I think this guy can help me with that."

"Wow, never knew you had a soft side," I said without looking at Mina, embarrassing her and I decided to ask Sobin.

"So, who's your cap? Is it the one who wears a cape?"

"Y-yes, that's her."

"And how do you know that, Y/n?" Mina looks at me accusingly.

"Just meet at the mall because I need to buy groceries and I encounter her."

"Oh" Sobin and Mina responded.

"What are you doing here anyway?" Mina asked changing the subject.

"Oh, well....I came to collect some medication from the hospital. Everyone's busy so I came on their behalf." Sobin answered.

"...Medicine?" Mina said unsure.

"You look pretty healthy to me," I said.

"Yes. You can't get it from a regular pharmacy and answer your question Y/n, it's complicated."

"I see."' The replacer factor either works like Orca or to keep it stable.' I thought.

"Would you like to see?" Sobin said showing the medicine.

"....Isn't this an immunosuppressant?"

"Huh? Immuno-what?" I asked because I don't really know about this medicine.

"Immunosuppressant," Mina said correcting me.

"Huh? Do you know about it? Not a lot of people do." Sobin said

"Well, my sister....Wait...Hang on a sec. Do you guys take all this together? Do you have a rare disease or something?" Mina said

"Oh, no. we're not sick at all. We just..."

*A vibration occurs*

"What was that? An earthquake?" Sobin said

"...... No, I don't think so. Something doesn't feel right...Could it be...." Mina said getting up and I pay for the food and Sobin pays her own but I ask the shopkeep woman.

"Can I have two tteokbokki take out please?"

"Sure, sonny!"

Mina and Sobin rush to the noise and stop.

"Did you hear that?" Mina said." I heard the cry of corrupted Object."

"What? A corrupted Object?"

"B-but this city is installed with a Grand Suppressor, " Sobin said.

"Grand Suppressor?" Mina asked.

"Yes, yes. It's an experimental device that the Administration recently developed to prevent corruption disasters," Sobin replied.

"it's useless in cities built on top of grand dimensions crevices like G1 City since the corruption ray variations are so strong...but I heard it can completely prevent corruption disasters in the stabilized cities like this one," Sobin said.

".....wait, where's Y/n?" Mina said causing her to look back which I come with a plastic bag on hand.

"What're you doing?"

"Buying take-out for dinner."

"Really? At this time?" Mina deadpanned because the more she gets to know you, the more weird things you show.

"Whatever," Mina said before looking at Sobin who talks to herself.

"So how could a Corrupted Object get through..." Sobin muttered. I placed my hands on her shoulder snapping her out of it and looks at me. Then, I held her collar pulling her saving her from C.O that was about to attack her.

"What? What? Eeek!" she said looking at me who held her by the collar and Mina finished it by shooting at the C.O.

"You okay, Y/n, Sobin?" Mina asked and I reply with thumbs up and put Sobin down Sobin said "T-thank you..."

"I don't know about this Grand Suppresser but C.Os definitely appeared," Mina said.

"But how..." Sobin said

"We should find out what's going on. First...can you stay behind us, Y/n. You're not a Counter." Mina said and I nodded to stay undercover.

"Hey, you three!" said a voice making three of us look at the voice. Then, I recognized the face of one of the Na Yubin group under the alias Amy Strickland.

"Hi! Nice to meet you! I saw you take down that C.O. Are you guys Counter?" Amy asked.

"You've must mistake us for someone else.." Mina said

"So, Yoo Mina is not Yoo Mina, then? I see you're impostor, then." I said teasing Mina who has a slight blush at her cheeks cutting an awkward situation.

"U-Umm, yes we are but this guy is not," Sobin said referring to me who is the only guy here.

*Sigh* Mina sighed because she feels more problems incoming.

"Wow... I knew it!"Amy said though I know it is a bluff, I'm more concerned about the fact that I feel tingling at my neck.

'Omicron, what is this feeling?"

"It is adaptability due to you feeling a nearby Corruption Effects at the store earlier and the nanites have made you adapt so you can tell whether the space nearby will act or not. Other than that, It is more like Spatial Awareness.

'I see, thanks.'

"You're welcome."

"I have an eye for this sort of thing." Amy said "Anyway, this area is in chaos because of the C.Os. Can you please help us?" Amy said pleading to Sobin and Mina.

"I'm sorry. Please look for someone else." Mina said

"Ouch, even I feel that one," I said wincing.

"Yes! Of course, we'll help!" Sobin said catching Mina's attention.

"......."

"M-mina? W-why are you glaring at me like that?" Sobin said in fear.

"Ugh.... It's nothing. I just don't think we make a good team. Anyways, why did agree to help totals stranger?" Mina said.

"But...The people at this hospital have done so much for me...I'm indebted to them. If we don't do something, the hospital might get attacked and someone could get hurt. i-I couldn't just let that happen. I-I'm sorry, Mina." Sobin said

'Huh, she got a good heart.' I thought impressed.

"...." Mina responded.

"The hospital...Damn." Mina said."Fine, I'll help. But only around this area!"

"Never know you can be this kind, Mina,"I said

"S-shut up!!" Mina said embarrassed surprising Amy and Sobin. Amy then replies" Really? Really?!. Thank you!!!"

"Anyway, stay behind us, Y/n. You're not a Counter." Mina said and I nodded.

*The C.Os appeared*

"Ugh! These things won't give me a break, will they?

"I'll go ahead! You can follow me!" Amy said

After Mina, Sobin, and Amy finished the C.O while I stayed behind to stay undercover.

"Whew..that should do it!" Amy said

"Hey, I didn't get your name back there," Amy said

"I'm Amy Strickland. Just call me Amy." Amy introduces herself."What about you guys?"

"Oh, m-my name is Kim Sobin," Sobin answered.

"...Yoo Mina." Mina said

"Y/n L/n." I said.

"Sobin, Mina and Y/n, huh?" Amy said.

" Sobin, Mina. You guys were really good back there! I was shocked!" Amy said in awe though I know she is just pretending.

"Indeed, it was awesome," I said making both of them blush a bit.

"T-thank you." Sobin stuttered."Y-you were pretty impressive too, Amy."

"Hahaha...it's because my style is flashy. I'm just typical Grade C Counter." Amy said.

"Really? What about how much C. Os you kill?" I said pointing our surroundings who has a bunch of killed C.Os.

"Haha...it's true I'm just your grade C Counter," Amy said and I shrugged.

"You're a Grade C Counter and work alone?" Mina said.

"Huh? No, I work for a company too. Our team is called...Oh whoops, I forgot the time!" Amy panicked. "My team is probably waiting for me! I have to go help them!"

"Hurry up!" Amy shouted.

"We should follow her because I get the feeling someone is colluding this attack," I said cutting off the needless dialogue.

"Fine." Mina said sighing."I'll just have to make sure I'll get paid for it."

"Who knows?" I said following Amy and Mina, Sobin follow suit.

3rd Pov

"Where are they coming from? It's endless!" said a girl

*Pant Pant* another girl panting.

"Looks like this is it for me." Girl2 said "Game Over. That's what I get for choosing to tour the city when my stats were clearly too low."

"Touring the city?" Girl 1 said."You were in the arcade all day!"

"That's because you wanted to play a round of Doki Doki Battle Chorus...I mean it was obvious who was going to win but you insisted..." Girl 2 said

"You're a gaming addict!" Girl 1 shouted.

*The C.Os appeared*

"Eeek! They're back!" Girl 1 shouted before running away.

"M-Ms. Hirose! Wait for me!" Girl 2 said running with a girl named Hirose.

While all this happen, Mina, Sobin, Amy, and I were watching them with a dumbfounded expression.

"Is that your teammates?" I asked

"Are you sure they're a Counter?" Mina asked unsurely.

"Hahaha...they're a bit...delicate ....as you can see," Amy answered.

"Look over there! C.Os are rushing in from everywhere!" Sobin said in a panic.

*Sigh*" I'm working off the clock way too much.." Mina said

"Want me to treat you to food when this is over?" I asked making Mina looks at me catching Sobin and Amy's attention.

"Sure," Mina said shocking Sobin who looks at me weirdly and Amy seems to be in thought.

Then, Mina destroyed the C.Os who was threatening to kill the two girls who I recognized as Aki Hirose and Lee Minseo.

"I...I thought I was dead. Thank you for saving us." Minseo said

"We owe you our lives. I was sure we were done for." Aki said while I looks at Aki's sword. I asked Omicron if I used the sword would it be enough for me to kill C.Os.

"It's durability is good for killing low C.Os. So, yes, you can use it."

While I asked Omicron, the girl talked though I already know it and just straight go to Aki while Amy said about killing C.Os. and the city guards is not mobilized.

"S-Sounds scary," Minseo said

"I came here to play, Not fight," Aki said

"Don't worry. I've brought backup!" Amy said

"Excuse me, can I borrow your sword, Miss?" I said to Aki catching attention from all of us."What are you talking about Y/n? You're not a Counter." Mina said.

"Oh, Don't worry about it. In exchange, can you take care of this food, it's for my dinner." I asked dumbfounding the two but Aki nodded and I give my food to the two and she give me her sword and I check it out the sword and nodded turning to the two.

*Sigh*" How much will you pay us?" Mina said

"What?" Amy said

"You weren't expecting to do this pro bono, were you?" Mina said."Professional is always compensated for their services."

"Um..." Amy hesitated and looks at me. "Um...help please?" I looked at her then Iook at Mina who looks at me." How about your balance that you have right now after whatever you're done with funding from Administration?" I said cutting off the dialogue from cutscenes because they were so damn long!!.

"Uh...how about the money that we get from a company borrowing our name?" Amy said

"Isn't that illegal?" Mina said

"Well...more like outside the boundaries of law... you know what I mean..." Amy said.

I looks at Mina who looks at me and I nodded.

"Fine. Let's get going." Mina said and goes to walks ahead of the road and try calling. Sobin come at me and asked.

"How did you do it?" Sobin asked

"Do what?" I said

"How did you convince Mina like that?"

"Nothing. Just do an honest business and she's fine with it." I said cutting the matter short and Sobin stopped asking and go to Aki and MInseo.

"Any luck?" Amy said

"No, the comm seems going down."

"it's everywhere else too," Sobin said. "The network comm network must have some problem."

With that, I open my second phone and try to dial Manager's number catching all the group's attention.

"The number you dial is not available." I show them the phone and hangs up the phone.

"Weird. The TASKFORCE should have come by now..." Amy said.

"Yeah, the Administration satellites is always monitoring civilian area," Sobin said

"Whatever the reason is, I don't think we'll be getting outside help," Mina said

While they talked, I was watching my surroundings because my nanites right now are making me adaptive towards changes in space. Then, Aki and Minseo whined about being done for. Me being someone who has been killed in the past talked.

"Don't lose hope in living because in reality you never know who has suffered worse than you. Just be grateful that you are alive and many people have died just for their greed." I said surprising Aki who was holding my food and everyone looks at me in awe." What? Aren't we supposed to solve this problem right now?" I said snapping them out of it.

" Maybe we can lure C.Os away from the city. That way, maybe we can make other cities realize what's going on and send reinforcements." Amy said making Aki and Minseo whined and I nodded to Sobin and Mina who nodded along with me.

"Alright. Let's get going if you want to stay alive and stop fooling around." I said making everyone agree.

After I said that, we goes to walk and encounter C.Os. When the C.Os notices us, I dash towards one of them making prints of my shoes on the road surprising everyone and I thrust the sword in front of C.O. The sword cut through and I bring it up making an upper slash cleaving the C.O in two shocking the team and Mina, Sobin and Amy who just think I'm a normal guy. Then, I kill 1,2,3 and much more catching the attention of many C.Os but I just slashed them one of the C.O notices my opening making Mina shouts towards me.

"Watch out, Y/n!" Mina shouted towards me while readying her gun but I was calm because my fist was already in position and I punched with all strength I have. The punch not only broke the C.O but make the C.O fly over 10 meters shocking everyone again.

"Who's up for more?" I said while swinging Aki's sword to my shoulder while looking at the C.Os
