Triple update y'all! - I promise I'll never say that again

Phil was stressed, going on that stage earlier had been terrifying. He had stumbled the whole time. He really didn't want to go on that stage again. maybe the whole thing was a huge mistake, it wasn't like he was going to win. But no, the hard part was over, he did it.

Phil then heard a loud sigh from the other side of the room. He turned around to see Dan slowly closing his eyes, looking panicked. Looking at him like that, Phil didn't worry so much about his own discomfort, maybe he could help him, and in return he could help Phil.

Well, he tried talking to Dan but he just ended up learning his assumptions were right, he really was that egotistical, he just had a minor wobble. He didn't care at all if he won or lost, no scratch that, he never thought he would lose. He might not have helped Phil feel calm, but he certainly helped make him want to beat that privileged person.

"We've added the scores, including the teachers' votes and we've found it is a tie!" Everyone gasped at this, as they were sure the clear winner would be Dan. It appeared that that wasn't the case. "However a contestant walked out, so anyone who voted for them can vote for either contestant. that vote can be the deciding vote." The teacher finished explaining but soon the students were asking for who it was between.

Phil crossed his fingers, scrunching up his face. This wasn't just a stupid festive tradition, this would change the school entirely. He would let people be creative and weird, and still be appreciated.

Dan shuffled uncomfortably, he was never nervous, but here he was, and for some stupid school contest. It was more than that though, it was his popularity at stake. Yes, before he'd said he hated being winner of the jumper competition, but he relied on that fact, every year. He never had anything to worry about. Hopefully it wasn't Phil, he seemed to have bad intentions or something.

"Oh, that would be Dan Howell and Phil Lester!" The teacher announced beaming, she was very clearly happy about the situation. The students all clapped at this.

Dan turned to Phil quickly, and glared at him. How dare he take his title? He deserved it. He always won, and yes, this was a draw, but a draw wasn't a clear win. Phil raised his eyebrows in surprise at Dan's hostility.

"So now we shall have the people who voted for the person who ran off, to raise their hands to see how many we have." She instructed. Two people raised their hands. "Oh, two people... Let's hope they vote for the same person. Raise your hand if you think Dan's jumper is the best." One person raised their hand. "Looks like we still have a tie. Just let me talk with the other teachers." She then walked down to the chairs, and the teachers huddled in a corner like sports people.

The whole room was silent, apart from their teachers in the corner. The whole year seemed affected by this change in the normal happenings, but it also made sense to them. Dan just looked so good, and was so charismatic, he was going to be voted for, but Phil was interesting, creative and had a really good jumper, and looking at him, he looked pretty good too. No one had ever really considered him, but now they were.

"We've decided to have a sort of show down. Both Dan and Phil are going to have until tomorrow to make another Christmas jumper, I know it's not much time, but that's the challenge. The judges will only be the teachers this time," The teacher announced.

Dan and Phil looked at each other with challenge in their eyes. They were both determined to win it, and both believed they would. Funnily enough, it seemed like the first time in a long time where Dan felt motivated to do something, and it was the first time Phil felt confident enough to win.

Also, I feel like this one is absolute crubbish but hey, it keeps me busy.
