Alex POV

We all leaved the building and got into police cars. I sat at the back of the car squished between Steffi and Bella while Joe and Hamish were in the front. 

"I don't think this is a good idea" said Hamish "we have absolutely no idea who sent that message it could just be some random kid messing with us."

"I think it's a good idea" said Bella "chief said that if we have any clues we should defiantly follow them. And if this clue leads to the mystery of where Ashley went that night, I could be promoted in my job which I've been waiting for a long time."

"I agree with Bella" says Joe. 

"I don't" Steffi said quietly "Hamish is right we don't know who this is"

To be honest I have no idea what to think. It was kinda weird that we all got the same message from the same anonymous number. But then again if this does lead to the mystery of where Ashley went that night then I could get promoted which would be good.

So your probably wondering who I am. Well hi then my name's Alex and I'm a detective. I met Joe my boyfriend when we were training together and we've been inseparable ever since. 

We arrived at the destination with 3 police cars showing up. It was such a sight that even people were getting out of their houses and gaping at us. We walked to the alleyway. It was close to the house where the party was. There was nothing there except cigarette butts and a few beer cans. 

"See told you it was a joke" said Hamish. 

"No wait" I said "we should do a bit of investigating anyway." 

Everyone agreed with me. We started searching for anything interesting. The alleyway was fairly long and we couldn't see the end. Chiara a detective started walking to the end. About a minute later we herd a scream. Not just any scream. The scream you her in horror movies when someone's about to die. 

We ran to the back. Joe squeezed my hand as we were all wondering if she was ok.  When we got too the end we all gasped in horror at what we saw. Chiara was dead her throat slashed with a knife and it was clear she was strangled. Sophie, Blair and Kate busted into tears. Issy fainted while everyone else's just stood in shock. 

"Shit" I herd Joe mumble under his breath. 

"What kind of sicko would do this" Jim said.

There was a note pinned onto the wall. I reached out and started reading it out loud.

Sorry everyone. Can't give you a clue without getting something back because that's not fair isn't it?  Here's a little something about Ashley's disappearance. She's dead so don't bother to try find her try and find out how she died and who killed her. And if you want a little bit more information speak to Todd Baker, the last person to dance with Ashley the night of her murder. "There is no way we're going'" said Will " this guy is sick" 

I put the note in my bag. I really wanted to solve the case.

"Well I'm going" said Bella "and that's that."

"Same" I said "me and Bella can go together.

"I don't want you going babe" Joe said "I don't want you getting hurt"

"I'll be fine" I answered "don't worry"

"Ok fine" Jim said "Bella, Steffi, Hamish, Will, Joe, Alex and go. Bella and Alex, you guys will interview Todd while everyone else you search the house for anything interesting."

"What about us" Kate said sharply. "Maybe some people want to do something"

"Yeah sure Issy, Sophie and Blair can interview locals and asks people if they saw a suspicious man or woman anywhere."

"And what about me" snapped Kate.

"You can sit at home and post pictures of your pathetic life on Instagram" said Jim. 

"I love this guy"Bella said happily.

So I knew what exactly I had to do. Even if it was worth losing a life. ..
