Bella POV 

I sat at my desk staring into my cup of coffee. I was bored out of my mind. Hi I'm Isabella, most people call me Bella for short and I'm a trainee police. As a trainee I barley do anything. I'm not the only trainee though there are 3 other trainee's apart from me, Steffi, Tom and Kate. Steffi is absolutely lovely and we are good friends. She is so nice and bubbly and everyone likes her. Tom is nice and all but he's really stupid and god only knows and he even got here. He has been a trainee for over 4 years now and he's like thirty something. And then there's Kate..

Kate is perfect. She has long blonde hair, deep blue eyes and a perfectly tanned body. She says she got her tan from her holiday in the Bahames but I know that it's from her weekly visits to the tanning salon. She's a flirt too. She flirts with any guy 10 feet from her and its sickly watching her get anyone she wants by just saying a few mushy words and twirling her hair around her finger while battering her fake eyelashes. I don't even have a boyfriend and I've only had one. But that technically didn't even count. His name was Max and he was a star footy player. I was so surprised when he asked me to prom and not a cheerleader. I was so happy and I spent all my money which I saved for my travels to buy a dress and get my hair and make up professionally done. But when I got there Max was dancing with Bethany Bell the cheerleadering captain. Apparently he asked me out as a dare. I spent the whole time crying in the bathroom ruining my make up while all my friends were out having fun with hot dates. Not only that but I ripped my super pricey dress and flashed my underwater to everyone. I try not to think about that horrific night. That gap year while all my friends were traveling I was working in the local café. Sometimes I look in the mirror at my light brown hair and eyes and wish I was as pretty as Kate. But I know I'm beautiful and not a lying, slutty fake bitch like her.

Someone tapped me on my shoulder.

"Bella c'mon we and all the other trainees have that meeting with the chief about something important. Did you even remember?" It was Steffi.

Of course I didn't.

"Oh shit I forgot and I look a mess" I said grudging looking at my coffee stained shirt and messy hair.

Kate walked past looking as perfect as ever.

"Hey loser" she snarled looking at me. Then she turned to Steffi.

"OMG hey Steff I was just wondering if you want to grab a coffee tomorrow afternoon we haven't catched up in ages!" She said all sweet and innocent. 

She countied to walk with Steffi giggling and laughing about some movie they saw together. I tried to walk with them but Kate pushed me out of the way and I feel into a trash can nearby. It was the worst timing as two proper police walked past. One was a really pretty woman who I normally see Kate talking too. The other was an attractive man.

"OMG Blair, Luke! That loser Bella I was telling you about is in the trash. I need to snapchat this" Kate said pulling out her iphone and taking a photo. Blake and Luke laughed and Kate made a snarky comment "what are you doing in the bin Bella? Eating trash! Everyone laughed and Kate continued to walk with Blair and Luke. "Looks like your gonna be late you piece of garbage" she jeered and sashayed off. 

Steffi ran towards me. 

"Oh my gosh Bella are you alright? Are you hurt from falling over that trash can?" She said all at once. I wasn't bothered to tell her that Kate pushed me. 

"Yeah I'm fine" I mumbled 

"Let's go or we going to be late and chief will kill us" she said dragging me along 

I look horrible, even worst then I did before. My hair had a banana peel in it and hair was super tangled. Not only was I covered in coffee stains I was also covered in garbage and I smelt of it too. I looked a real sight. When we entered the room Chief was super mad at us.

"STEPHANIE PRELLER AND ISABELLA STAPLETON YOUR LATE!" He screamed at us.

"Sorry sir" me and Steffy mumbled softey.

We took are seats at the back and I could feel everyone staring at us (mostly me) and Kate laughing (defiantly at me). It was so embarrassing. I seriously hate that bitch Kate.

"Alright everyone I called you all hear today because we need to discuss a very important topic" Chief was saying "The disappearance of Ashley Green..."
