Loyalty
"Bet you've never really talked to people, huh?" Infelix chatted on the way to the school parking lot where his black limo was waiting for them. He wasn't sure how someone his age could afford it, but he didn't bother questioning it. After all, it wasn't the weirdest thing that he's seen all day.
"Not really." Anti shrugged casually. He wasn't much of a social person, and he liked it that way. Having relationships would only distract him from his goals and inevitably break his heart in the future.
That and he hated drama.
"There's another member of the group, I think you may like him." Infelix mused as he examined Anti's face closely before hopping into the back of the limo with Anti.
"Where's the driver?" Anti frowned, noticing that no one was sitting behind the wheel.
"Infelix, did you get the recruit?" A glitching white mask with a crack popped into existence on the monitor above the wheel.
"Yep! Anti this is Mad, the super virus the other recruit made." Infelix introduced the two.
"A pleasure to make your acquaintance Anti Septiceye." Mad spoke, although the crazed expression on his white mask didn't change.
"How did you afford all of this?" Anti gaped in awe as he absorbed his surroundings. The interior was made of black leather with a red carpeted floor, mini bar full of various kinds of iced alcohol and water, as well as neon lights on the roof that changed colors.
Infelix's insane like attitude slipped into moroseness for a brief moment before his usual grin replaced it, making Anti believe that he imagined it.
"Perks of being me I suppose." Infelix stated nonchalantly.
"Legal estimated time of arrival at the airport is thirty minutes." Mad told Infelix.
"Illegally?" Infelix raised an eyebrow, the mischievous gleam returning to his eyes.
"Ten minutes at the most." Mad calculated.
"Illegally it is!" Infelix cheered as the limo sped off at ninety miles, causing Anti to slid in his seat and hit the mini bar beside him. They sped through stop lights, yet they weren't ever pulled over much to Anti's surprise.
Why are there no seat belts?!?, Anti screamed internally as he nearly flew off of his seat into the back of the driver's seat in front of him.
"Whiskey?" Infelix held a bottle of whiskey and a clear shot glass in his hands.
"No thanks." Anti shook his head. He didn't want to be reminded of his alcoholic father, much less become anything like him.
"Party pooper!" Infelix laughed as he drank straight out of the bottle, a bit of the liquid dribbling down his chin.
"We're here." Mad told the two as the limo cane to an abrupt stop in front of the airport.
"Thanks Mad!" Infelix waved goodbye as the screen flicked off.
"I have a private jet we can take, Mad will be the pilot." Infelix informed Anti as they walked past the airport to the landing strip where a pristine black and bright sky blue jet was waiting for them.
"Hello again, did you miss me?" Mad chuckled as the two boarded the plane. It looked exactly like the interior of the limo, only lined on one of the walls was rows of weapons, and a disco ball was hung on the roof. The floor was multicolored like a dance floor to Anti'a amusement.
"Can I know why we're going to Sweden?" Anti asks as he sat down in a seat by Infelix, not surprised to find that there wasn't a seat belt.
"That's where our base of operation is. From there, I'll introduce you to the other guy and give you your first mission." Infelix slurred, his words almost unintelligible.
The flight didn't last long much to Anti's surprise. As soon as they landed, Infelix drunkenly stumbled down the boarding ramp, nearly falling on his face. Anti rolled his eyes and slung Infelix's arm around his shoulder to keep him standing upright.
"This way." Infelix hiccuped before leading Anti out of range of the airport and towards the nearest manhole cover, which he promptly lifted off before jumping down into the dark depths below. Anti took a deep breath before jumping down as well, relieved when he landed on a giant bean bag chair instead of hard concrete like he expected.
"Pretty cool huh?" Infelix gestured around him.
There was no trace of sewer water, the right tunnel shaped concrete wallsl lined with glowing monitors, the largest one displaying Mad. Several others showed every room in Anti's house, including his bedroom.
"You spied on me?!?" Anti yelled at Infelix in accusation.
"I always spy on the people I wanna recruit, makes it easy for me to give you what you want most." Infelix waved at Anti dismissively as if he was a bothersome fly.
"This the new guy?"
Anti spotted a man lurking in the shadows with black fringes hair, his eyes black with blood red pupils. He was wearing a suit like Infelix, only his tie matched his eyes. Even though they were underground, the man's skin was fairly tan.
"I'll let you two get acquainted before I brief you two on our next mission." Infelix patted Anti on the back before stumbling off towards the beds towards the left.
"Who're you?" The man spoke gruffly. His voice was a smooth deep baritone that sent chills down Anti's spine.
"Antisepticeye, but you can call me Anti." Anti managed to speak, feeling his face flush. He was glad that it was extremely dark, even with the lights provided by the monitors.
"Darkiplier." The man introduced himself before walking off, leaving Anti to wonder if he did something wrong.
Anti followed Darkiplier to the polished black table that were close by the beds, the table surrounded by three matching black office chairs.
Infelix was already waiting for them at the head of the table, thankfully looking less drunk.
"Anti, since you're new here, I want to test your loyalty." Infelix clasped his hands together on the table.
"To give you a taste of what we do, I set up a mission for us, specifically you. Our job is that we're hired to kill. What you're going to do is you're going to fly to Ireland with us and kill your father." Infelix decided.
"Fine." Anti responded coolly. On the inside, he felt a small spark of excitement, glad to get rid of the pathetic drunkard that he called dad for eighteen years.
Once again Anti boarded the jet with Infelix, this time accompanied by Darkiplier. Darkiplier sat far away from Anti, his expression unreadable as he stated out the window the entire ride, seeming to be lost in thought.
"You know how to shoot a gun?" Infelix casually held a pistol in his hand.
Anti shook his head no, although he played plenty of video games to know the premise.
"The safety's already off, so all you have to do is keep your hand steady and don't miss when you fire." Infelix pressed the gun into Anti's hand. The cool metal felt nice against Anti's clammy palms.
The jet landed right behind the Green Clover, the pub Anti's dad frequented. It was nighttime, which helped keep the jet disguised. Most everyone already home except his dad, who usually stayed until he was kicked out.
"After how you took care of Billy, I know you'll do fine." Infelix assured Anti as he exited the plane, waiting pressed against the wall by the door for his dad to emerged. The minutes that passes felt like hours as Anti impatiently shifted from foot to foot, wondering if he really could do this.
He did hate his dad, however he was the only family he had left. His ma abandoned him, as well as his six older siblings.
His dad was all he had left.
Finally, Anti's dad drunkenly staggered out of the pub, a mostly empty bottle of Guinness in hand. His short light brown hair was disheveled, his sky blue eyes drooping shut constantly.
Anti shoved him against the wall, pressing one hand over his dad's mouth to muffle his screams.
"Shut up!" Anti hissed, glancing around to make sure they were alone.
Anti removed his hand once the drunkard stopped screaming.
"Son-"
"Don't call me that, a real father would spend time with his son, not in a pub!" Anti yelled, tears pricking his eyes.
"Your ma died because of you, how could I love you after that?" Anti's dad snapped.
"Ma died because of me?" Anti repeated numbly, unable to process the new information.
"You told me that she left." Anti whispered, his voice dangerously calm.
"She died in childbirth." The man shook his head sadly.
"You're a liar, I hope you burn in hell!" Anti gritted his teeth as he shot the drunkard directly in the chest with deadly precision. The man's body stiffened before he collapsed to his knees. The bottle fell from his hands and broke into many shards of brown glass when it landed on the concrete ground.
"I'll save you a seat in Hell!" Anti's dad spat menacingly as blood flowed down his shirt and began pooling around him.
"Don't bother, I already reserved the throne." Anti countered coldly before he shot him again in the chest. He kept firing at his dead body until the gun made a clicking sound, signaling that he was out of ammo. Anti jammed the gun in the waistband of his jeans, leaving the body behind as he casually walked back inside the jet.
"You've earned these." Infelix presented him with a black suit and neon green tie, as well as black business shoes and a case that held black contacts with neon green irises.
Anti changed into the suit and put in the contacts, facing his reflection in the mirror Infelix gave him.
The man staring back was not John Shneeplestien, the senior who was supposed to have graduated hours ago.
Instead, he saw Antisepticeye, cold blooded killer, glaring back with his black and neon green eyes, flecks of blood peppered across his face.
The ride back was silent as Anti processed the news his dad told him before he died, wondering if he really was lying or not.
Anti walked to his bed as soon as they arrived back to the base, already knowing which one was his due to the neon green and black covers on them. They looked exactly like the ones at home, which comforted Anti slightly. It was nice to have something familiar in a new place full of people he just met.
A black t-shirt and sweatpants were lying in his pillow for him, which he happily changed into. Once he was changed, he crawled into bed and stared up at the concrete ceiling.
"Anti?" Darkiplier spoke up from where he was lying in his neon red and black bed adjacent to Anti's.
"Yeah?" Anti replied.
"Call me Dark." Darkiplier stated before rolling over and promptly falling asleep.
"Goodnight Dark." Anti told the sleeping man before he fell asleep as well.
