Memory 2 (Prologue)
"Do any of y'all have siblings?" Kovách asked one day. "All my Family wanted was a son, I don't know if there's been another one since I left."
Ash looked at him with a face. "No.
"I had an obsessive family, they never considered another child." Ashlynn continued, frowning.
Tami considered the question for a minute. She laid back onto the bed and groaned. "Two twins at home. To carry on the family legacy."
Ash rolled her eyes and Kov tensed, both joining the blonde on the bed. "Your family legacy is bullshit." The dark woman huffed as the man hummed in agreement.
That did make Tam laugh, curling into the other two on the bed. "I love you both," she smiled.
"So do we."
Later that night, there was screaming.
Kovách and Ashlynn nearly launched out of the bed to find the source of the screaming. Nearly.
Between them, there was a shaking mess of blonde hair, uneven breathing, and bedding. Carefully, Ashlynn reached out to Tami, then looked at Kovách.
"Nightmare," he frowned as the other nodded.
"Tam," Ashlynn whispered. "It's a nightmare, we're all still here and alive."
As they continued, the shivering slowed; her breathing evened out. Kovách's frown grew. His hand moved over the blonde's exposed arm and rubbed it comfortingly.
"Too often," are the last words of the night.
