Chapter 6~ Could Be And Maybe

Luke's POV ~

"Danielle. I'm never gonna let anything hurt you. I love you too much to let that happen."  I say to her. She is my love, my everything.  "Luke. I don't know if it is a good idea to date. With the Battle of the Bands coming up, my brothers and your friends aren't going to want us to see each other. I like you I really do, but this just isn't going to-"  I cut her off by pressing my lips onto hers. "Luke. I beep beep beep beep."

"FUCK!!" My stupid alarm just had to go off. Right when the best part was coming up. I slammed the snooze button and laid in bed for a few minutes. How could I fall for a girl so easily?  I got up and went to the bathroom to shower. I stripped and got in letting the warm water hit my body for a good ten minutes. I got out and got dressed. I grabbed a Nirvana t-shirt, a pair of black skinny jeans, and my black vans. I went back into the bathroom to fix my hair. I took the hair dryer and dried my hair while making a quiff in the front in the process. Once my hair was done, I ran downstairs to grab some breakfast. I grabbed a bowl, the milk, and some Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I ate my cereal, grabbed my backpack and my skateboard. I was going to drive, but I had a lot of time to spare this morning so I wanted to take my time getting to school. I lived two blocks from the school and four blocks from Danielle's house. I actually hope she's okay. She looked kinda scared when her dad got home. I brushed last night off my mind because Calum had a lot of questions to answer. As I was heading to school, I heard loud music playing. I looked behind me to see a car coming.

Welcome to a new kind of tension

All across the alienation

American Idiot by Green Day. Once the car come closer to me, they rolled their window down. "Lucas. Why are you walking to school?" Calum asked. "Get in." Michael yelled. I walked over the car and got in. We drove off and before I knew it, we were in the school's parking lot. I got out and walked to the school doors. "Wait!" Ashton yelled at me. I turned around and walked back to him. "You're one of us now. We walk in together." he explained. I chuckled. "So cliché guys. Can't though. I have to find Danielle so we can talk about our English project. But I'll see you guys in Spanish. Later." I say as I started walking away from them. I got the doors and ran right into Alison. She looked frantic, scared and like she has been crying. "Luke. Just the guy I was looking for. Have you seen Dani?" she managed out. "No why? Is she in trouble?" I asked. Now I'm starting to panic. "I don't know. I called her phone and she didn't pick up and I even went by her house to pick her up and her mom said she wasn't there." she said starting to cry again. I hugged her and rubbed her back. "It' s okay Ali. Dani is okay. We'll find her." I say calmly hoping to calm her down. I suddenly felt a tap on my shoulder. "Luke? Is Ali okay?" the voice asked. I let go of Ali and turned around to see Danielle. I instantly grabbed her and hugged her. "Are you okay?" I asked as I stopped hugging her, but placed my hands on her shoulders. "I'm fine. Why is Ali-" she stopped mid-sentence. She walked past me and stood in front of Alison. "Alison Kelly Campbell. Why did you practice your monologue on Luke?" she asked. Monologue? Alison just looked at me. "Because he was perfect practice." she answered innocently. Practice? Monologue? I put two and two together and grew embarrassed and angry at the same time. "Alison." I gritted through my teeth. I walked away to my locker because I knew if I was around them, I would say something I would regret. I sometimes have a really bad temper and when I feel it coming a walk away to avoid anymore trouble. I heard some call my name from behind. "Luke. Wait. Slow down damn it." Danielle yelled. I stopped and turned around. "What?" I shouted at her. She was taken by surprise and took a few steps back. "Luke I'm sorry for Alison. She had to practice  her monologue for theater and-" I cut her off. "It shouldn't be you apologizing." I snapped at her. I raised my hand to hit a locker, but that's when I noticed that she flinched. Like if I was going to hit her. "Danielle. Are you abused at home?" I asked with caution in my voice. "N-no. I'm just not used to people having a temper like that." she said. I walked closer to her and pulled her in a hug. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. I would never hurt you. But that's why I walked away ." I explained. I let her go as the bell rang and I walked her to the office. "I'll see you in math. Bye Dani." I said. "Bye Luke." she said. A piece of hair fell in her face and I wanted to tuck it away, but I didn't want to push anything. Yet. I walked to the science room and got in class just in time.

Class just ended and I was leaving the class when I felt someone grab my arm. I felt the person place their hand over my mouth so I couldn't scream. "Don't worry you're not being kidnapped. It's just me." Michael explained. He slowly removed his hand and I turned around to face him. "You didn't have to pull me like that. You could've just said Luke come here." I whisper shout. "Whatever. Is anything happening between you and Danielle?" he asked. I shook my head no. Nothing that I want to happen has. "Good. Well tell Ashton that. Because he thinks so and is already considering kicking you out of the band." he explained. "What?!" I shouted. This can't be happening. Please let this be a dream.

Hey guys what is up? You guys doing good? Because I'm not. I have like no time to work on my stories like I want to. Stupid school. So what did you guys think of the chapter?
