Chapter 10~To Close For Comfort

Note: Mr. Barakat has nothing to do with Jack Barakat from All Time Low. I was listening to them and I needed a last name, so I just used Barakat. Just thought I should let you guys know. Enjoy the chapter.

Jack's POV~

I woke up to the sound of Luke's alarm going off. He really needs to change it. It's really annoying. I sat up in bed and stretched my arms. I got out of bed and made my way to the bathroom before Luke got in there. I swear he's so messy in the shower, it's like a toddler taking a bath and splashing the water out of the tub.

When I walked by his room, I heard a voice in his room.

"So I'm suppose to wear a dress to school? And with my hair a mess too? Not happening Lucas." the voice said. The girl sounded so familiar.

"Okay two things. One, we stop at your place so you can change just don't take forever. And two, you can fix your hair here. Just use some of my stuff." he said.

"And stop calling me Lucas!" Luke whined.

The girl giggled. I noticed that his footsteps were getting closer to the door. Before I could run off, his door opened. He stood there, but then groaned. He pushed his way out of the door and shut it before grabbing my wrist.

"What the hell Jack?! Are you trying to get us caught?!" he whisper shouted at me. I rolled my eyes. "Well maybe if you would have told me she was here, I wouldn't have almost been seen. Why is she here always?" I questioned.

"Her dad made me do something and it kinda knocked her out, so I had to bring her back here." he explained. He groaned. I smiled. Finally he's been put to work. Dani's a sweet girl with a horrible father. We heard a door open and looked in the direction of Luke's door.

"Luke where's your-" she stopped mid sentence when she saw us. "Jack?" she asked. I gave her a small smile. Luke walked to her. "How do you know him?" he asked. She looked at me.

"Boys! Get down here for breakfast." my mum called. We walled downstairs and into the kitchen. My mum cooks breakfast every morning. Today she made pancakes, some eggs, bacon, and some fresh orange juice. She was at the stove when we walked in.

She turned around and looked at us. "I forgot Danielle was here. Come sit down." she said. She nodded her head. "No thanks. I'm not hungry, but thanks for the offer." she replied. "You can head back to my room. I'll be there in a minute." Luke said.

Luke's POV~

Jack can be so careless sometimes. I grabbed my plate and headed back to my room. I walked in and found Danielle laying on my bed. She looked at me. "Is Jack you're brother?" she asked.

I set my plate on my dresser and sat next to her. "Yep." I say popping the 'p'. "Do you know what he does, you know, when he's not home?" she asked with her head down as she played with her fingers. I moved the hair out of her face. "I do. And it will stay our little secret." I say as I lift her head up.

She smiled. Her phone then rang. She picked it up. "Hello." "At Luke's." "No he'll give me a ride Ali." "Don't worry." "Okay. Later." She hung up. I had grabbed my plate and was eating. "Alison?" I asked with a mouth full of food.

"Yeah. She wanted to know where I was." she replied as she stole some of my bacon. "Hurry. We still have to go to my place remember." she said. I rolled my eyes. I sat my plate down and walked to my closet.

I grabbed my black Blink- 182 shirt, some black skinny jeans, and my black high top converses. I didn't feel like doing my hair, so I grabbed a snapback. I felt Danielle eyeing me.

I smirked. "Eye raping me I see." I joked. She rolled her eyes. She got up and we walked downstairs and out the door. We got in my car and headed to her house.

We got to her house and she got out of the car. "You can come in. My dad isn't home. He left an hour ago." she said. I nodded and got out of the car. We walked to her door and she got out her house keys. She opened the door and we walked in. "Who's there?" a voice asked. "It's just me Dane." she yelled back.

We walked upstairs to her room. She opened her bedroom door when something sprayed on us. She screamed.

"DANE!" she yelled. She ran past me and back downstairs. I heard laughing then I heard Dani's voice boom. "Pendejo idiota estupido! A silly string prank in my room?!" she yelled. "Yeah. I know right? Pretty genius right?" he laughed. I was at the foot of the stairs. "You're gonna get it dofus." she growled as she charged at him. I ran and grabbed her and placed over my shoulder.

"Luke! Put me down!" she screamed as she pounded on my back. I walked upstairs and into her room. I placed her on her bed. "We need to get going. We're gonna be late." I say.

She walked to get closet and grabbed a Misfits tank top, some black skinny jeans and some black vans. She brushed her hair and grabbed a black beanie. "Oh look. We're almost twinning." I joke. She chuckled. "Give me four more minutes. Just let me do my makeup and then we can leave." she said. I sat on her bed and waited.

Finally after what felt like 20 minutes later, she walked out and stood in front of me. "Ready." she said. She looked beautiful. Her green hazel eyes compliment her hair perfectly. And she looks pretty damn hot in all black. Not all girls can pull this off, but damn. She looks so perfect standing there.

We walked downstairs and Dane was still here. We were heading out of the door when he yelled, "Hey! Can you give me a ride?" Dani scoffed. "Sure." she said sarcastically. "Totally. Come on." I say. Danielle looked at me. "Don't tell me you're for real Luke." she exclaimed. I nodded. "Come on. We're going to be late." I say. Dane, Danielle and I walked outside and into my car.

It was Danielle in the front seat, Dane in the back and me in the driver's seat. Obviously. We pulled out of the driveway and headed down the street. No! No, no no no!" I screamed. "What?" Dane asked as if he was panicking. "My car. I'm out of gas. I'm sorry guys" I say as I put my head down. "Really?" Danielle groaned. I looked at her and winked, but kept my head down. She looked at me with a confused face. "We have to walk the rest." I say. "Okay." Dane huffed. He got out of the car and slammed the door.

"Later dork!" I yelled out and sped off. Danielle looked at me with a huge grin on her face. "You just pulled one of the most awesome pranks on my brother. I commend you." she clapped. I did a fake bow. She couldn't help, but to laugh. We pulled up into the school's parking lot and parked in a parking space. We got out of the car and ran to the the front doors. We entered the school and I gave her a hug. I started walking down the hall to my class when she called after me. "Wait! Where are you going?" she asked. I turned around and pointed over my shoulder. "To class?" I say. It sounded more like a question than a statement. "I can get you a note for class so you won't be late." she smirked. I chuckled.

I walked back over to her. "So do you do this for everyone?" I questioned. She thought it over. "No. Just for the people who are special to me. So basically only Ali and my brothers." she giggled. We made it to the office and the lady there looked at us. "Mrs. Simpson. Can Luke have a pass to class please? He was my ride to school and I took fooorrrreverrrr." I started to chuckled by the way she said forever. Danielle noticed my laughing and elbowed me in the side. "And he shouldn't be punished because of me. It's not fair to him." she finished. I'm sorry sweetie, but I can't." Mrs. Simpson said. "Please? Just this one time for him?" Danielle said giving the lost puppy dog face. "Oh alright." Mrs. Simpson gave in. She wrote me a pass and gave it to me.

We headed out the door and started walking to my class. "See? Told ya I'd get you a pass." she said with a cocky grin. I scoffed. "You almost didn't."

"No one can resist these eyes." she said as she waved her hand around her eyes. I laughed and she joined in. We got to the door of my science class room and she gave me a hug. "Don't miss me too much." she joked as she walked away. I prepared myself for all the stares I was about to get. I'm not a person who likes the spotlight. It makes me uncomfortable. I turned the knob and opened the door. everyone's eyes turned to face me. "Mr. Hemmings. Glad you could join us." my science teacher, Mr. Barakat said. I walked to his desk. "No excuse for being late I see. Detent-" he stopped mid sentence. I showed him the pass. He snatched it out of my hand and looked it over.

"You're lucky this time Hemmings take your seat." he growled as he pointed to the class. I walked to my seat and sat down. I sit next to this guy named Evan and a girl named Alexis. Alexis leaned over to me. "Hey Luke. Wanna ditch after this class? I know what we could do in that time." she said in a flirty tone. Alexis was a tan girl with hazel eyes and and a nice long, brown hair. Her smile was the type to catch any guy's attention. She seemed like a nice girl. I shook my head no. Like I said, she seems like a nice girl. Keyword. SEEMS. She placed her hand on my thigh and started rubbing it in a circle. "Aww. come on Luke. We could have so much fun." she said then licked her lips.

I pushed her hand off of me. "Sorry. Not interested" I plainly say. I went back to paying attention to Mr. Barakat while Alexis kept trying to get my attention.

I walked out of class and straight for my locker. When I reached my locker, I saw Danielle taking to a girl. It wasn't Alison thought. I walked towards them, when the girl punched Danielle in the stomach. I ran to them and crouched over Dani. "Get away from her!" I yelled at the girl. "You know what we want Danielle. And we expect to get it." the girl growled. "Fuck off Emily. I'll get it okay? Go tell Alexis and Natalie I'll get it." Danielle spat out.

Emily walked away with a fat grin on her face. I helped Dani up and she groaned in pain. "You okay?" I asked. I mentally facepalmed myself for asking that. "My side hurts. Help me to the nurse's office." she pleaded. I nodded and wrapped her arm around my waist.

We reached the office and I laid Danielle on the bed. The nurse came in and questioned Danielle what happened. I don't know why, but Dani lied. She said she was walking downstairs and she fell and hit her side. "Oh. Sweetie. You need to go home and rest I'll go call your dad." she said. Danielle jumped up. "No. Alison can take me home. Call Alison Campbell. Please." she begged. The nurse nodded and left out of the room. "Why didn't you say I could?" I asked. "My dad's home. And he actually likes Alison. More than me it feels." she mumbled. A tear fell down her face. I wiped it away and looked in her eyes.

Alison walked in and ran to Dani. "You okay sugar lumps?" she asked in a southern accent. Danielle looked at her confused. "Umm. Yeah. Ali, why are you talking like that?" she questioned. "This accent. Acting class sweet thing." she said. "Okay then." Dani said. She got up. "Take me home please? We can chill and catch up." she offered. "Sure. I miss my bestie." Alison said in her normal voice. They got up and started walking to the door. "Oh. One thing." Dani said. She turned back around and walked over to me. She hugged me. "Thanks for caring so much. It means a lot." she said. She reached up and kissed me on my cheek. She walked back to Ali and they left out the door.

She kissed me. It was just on the cheek, but she kissed me. You're getting closer to her Hemmings. Just don't screw it up. You're doing so well. Just a month or two and you can totally crush her.

Hi guys. I missed you. Finally this update is done. I've been working it for about five hours and I'm pretty proud by how it turned out. How was this chapter? Some crazy shit has happened. And plenty more crazy moments are bound to happen,
