[Kurt]

" He's back already?"

" I heard he almost died"

" I heard that he tried killing himself by slitting his wrist"

" That's not what I heard. I heard that he was beaten up by someone and then he tried to cut his wrist"

"What a loser!"

Yup, my fellow friends, you heard right. I guess that almost dying didn't stop people from spreading rumors and talk behind your back. But who was I kidding? This was High School after all. Oh, how good it was to be back.

I walked down the hallway of McKinley High, my head facing the ground. For each step I took, whispers from my fellow students were heard. But I just ignored them. I couldn't let it affect me. I wouldn't.

I reached my locker, opened it up and sighed heavily. It was a mess. And for Kurt Hummel, the word mess wasn't a well-known word. Of course, I would use the word mess to describe my own life, but not for the things around me. It was weird. .. kind of. Like my life was a mess, but everything around me wasn't.

As soon as I closed the door of my locker, a group of people was walking up to me.

" Good morning Kurt," Rachel said and pulled me into a small hug. Finn, whom I had just shared a bagel with, gave me a hug as well. The others, people I didn't recognize immediately, waved their hands at me.

" Good morning Rachel, who are those guys?" I asked her when Finn had finally let me go

" Oh, they're just some guys who are checking out the school. They are going to be with us for the day" Rachel answered, introducing me to the guys. " This is Marley, and this is Ryder" I shook their hands giving them a smile

" Why exactly are you checking out the school for ?" I asked, confused to as why they wanted to even come here in the first place

" Well I don't know about Ryder, but I'm starting this fall .. so I just wanted to check it out, " Marley said

" Yeah, well the football coach here wanted me to transfer her so that's why I am here," Ryder said

" Wow, that's a first new thing I've heard. People willingly going to this school" I said with a hint of sarcasm, which they to unfortunately noticed

" What does that mean, " Rachel asked me with a confused loo. Oh how I have missed her confused face

" Rachel, you know what I am talking about. It's like a jungle here. You either the one preparing a meal or you are the meal" I said

" W--what Kurt is meaning is ..." Finn started, shifting nervously back and forth on his legs " Is ... that high school is just hard. .. no matter where you are "

" Yes Finn, that was exactly what I meant," I said letting out a small laugh in hopes of breaking the tension that was building up between us. But it didn't. On the contrary, it just made tension become even more ... tense. " I'm just kidding. The kids here are wonderful, the teachers are mediocre and the food is good ... excepts from the tots"

" Anyway, Marley and Ryder, we have to go to our classes now," Rachel said and started walking away, with the two new kids trailing behind her as if they were a pair of wheels

" Dude, what was that," Finn said as soon as they had vanished.

" I can't believe that anyone would ever want to come to this school," I said as I started walking away, Finn trailing by my side.

" Kurt, you know that just because you've had it rough here, doesn't mean that everyone will too," Finn said

" I know that, but still. " I just answered back to him. To be honest with you, I was not in the mood to talk to Finn, and the fact that was being right, made it worse. Kind of.

" Just think about what you are saying, Kurt. These kids might actually like themselves here" Finn said, and walked away from me, leaving me all alone in the school hallway. I sighed, drew the bag closer to the neck, and walked to my first class of the day.

I entered the classroom, seating myself down and got out my books. The teacher hadn't arrived yet, and we were just stuck in this small room, filled with over hormonal teenagers. The air was humid, suffocating ever cells in my body. When the teacher finally showed up, the others around me finally seated themselves down. Not even a few seconds after the teacher had slammed his books down, the door opened, revealing two figures stumbling in. The one was Blaine and the other was ... Sebastian? 

" Oh how nice of you two to show up," Mrs. Carpenter said " That'll be detention" 

" But we were only a few seconds late" Blaine peeped up, his puppy-like eyes gleaming. 

" Well technically you were ten minutes late to class," the teacher said, writing two detention slips for them

" I'm sorry Mrs. Carpenter, but you weren't exactly on time yourself," Sebastian said giving a rather annoyed look towards the teacher, who was not in the mood for his attitude. Mind you, no one would be, it was Sebastian after all. 

" Get to your seats," The teacher said, handing them the slips. 

Blaine looked annoyingly at Sebastian, giving him a disapproving look before he walked over to the empty seat beside me. He sat himself down and gave me a quick peck on the cheek smiling at me.

" Good morning beautiful," Blaine said while getting his books out.

" Good morning handsome," I said teasingly back. 

The chipmunk -- Sebastian, walked to the next empty seat right in the back. 

" What is he doing here?" I asked Blaine when the teacher had turned her back to the class, scribbling some unreadable on the whiteboard, probably presenting today's lecture. 

" Apparently he's transferring here"

" WHAT?" I nearly screamed out, causing the other students and to my unfortunate, the teacher to stare at me. 

" Anything you'd like to share with the class," the teacher asked me. I just shook my head, and she carried on with whatever she was doing. 

" What do you mean .. he just transferred here," I said to Blaine, this time making sure my voice was low enough

" He changed the school from Dalton to McKinely.. don't ask me why he did that, Kurt. I'm just as confused as you. Oh, and Kurt, did you understand yesterday's homework? I did manage to calculate the first part, but somehow I ended up with a completely different answer" Blaine said,  practically ignoring the big elephant in the room. 

" Of course I haven't done it, I've been in the hospital," I said through gritted teeth

" Y..yes of course. I didn't forget that" Blaine said nervously 

" But to be honest with you Blaine, I don't understand how you can just brush off the fact that Sebastian is here"

" Kurt, just let it go already okay. I don't know why he is here, I don't know for how long he plans to stay. But he is here, and I want to focus on school, you and us." 

Our conversation in the class didn't go any further,  and maybe that was for the better. I mean, just because Sebastian was didn't automatically mean that my life would be equivalent to hell. 

If only I knew how wrong I would be.

A/N: So sorry for this crappy chapter. It was not easy to write. Partially because of a writers block and because I haven't had the time to finish it off. It's only a filler chapter, but I still hope you enjoyed it.
