What he believes in

Grey sneaked out at his window to see if Violet is still awake. Then he's conclusion is right, violets curtain is glowing bright yellow, that means she's still awake maybe reading some novel or she's writing stuff.

Grey tugs the sound wire connected to Violet's , then suddenly, Violet's curtain is wide opened. They both smiling to each others.

"What?" Violet mouthed. But the distance is not enough to understand what she mouthed. She get some scratch and write 'what' in it.

Grey did the same, and they were like living the 'you belong with me' characters in their situation, it's just that, they're not actually bestfriends.

When Violet was 10, he moved in to the apartment beside Grey's. Actually she doesn't even know that Grey own the apartment next to his, but then they met at the park and have a little chitchat.

Everything was just sneaking out in the curtain to look for each other back then... Until now, they are always together going on a trip, living life anyway.

Grey always believe in that education is not really the key to success, because his father is a successful business man although he just finished high school. "You know my Dad.... He used to teach me..." Grey gazes the sky as he remember the past. When his father is still alive...

Violet looks at Grey being curious, "You mean?" She asks waiting for the next statements.

"He used to teach me his words of wisdom about life." He breathed "Maybe that's why i'm not really good at school, not that intelligent, not that clever, nor too artistic, but i got talent and having a wise mind like he used to teach me." Grey smiled heavenly.

Violet just let Grey talk about his, she don't want to interrupt the moment, and plus that she is always curious about his story.

"He's not just my father. He's my mentor, my coach, my teacher, my best friend, my adviser.. He used to be my everything. Silly to hear but yeah... He's my first love." Violet thinks they have the same place, it's just that Violet is very close to her mother, and for Grey his father.

Violet looks at her watch. Well, although it's not working... She remembers her father...

She thought about her father teaching her how to walk when she was like 1 year old. When her father teaches her how to hold a pencil when she was 2. And how the first and last magic she knew was done.

She taught that her mother never taught her those things.

Grey shivers a bit because of the cool air. "Sometimes, really, people that you think or someone else was useless or sort of bad influence,  has the biggest part in your life."

She knew, he was right, she couldn't walk or write or even believe in magic if her father doesn't exist.

"What about your mother?" She asks.

Grey looked at her. And they both new that they have the same story all the way round...
