The Cecropians are a very mysterious race that were referenced by aliens that have either met them personally or documented in records (though some aliens believed them as myth), but they left ruins that contains clues about themselves and records of seeding planet's with life. Humans have recently discovered the Cecropian homeworld (in which the story takes place in), and have discovered murals about what the Cecropians looked and what they do.

Appearance: according to the murals within the ruins and pictures found in abandoned labs, the Cecropians looked almost like humans but with few differences:

1. They all have cream yellow hair.

2. They have solid black eyes (like classic depictions of grey aliens).

4. They glow along with having fair skin.

They wore loose garments or outfits that stretch and change shape, but few wore not much clothing, as seen in tombs upon excavation. It is thought that, due to being shape shifters, they have a problem with clothes tearing whenever they change shape. When finding corpses of the dead Cecropians, researchers described their flesh being doughy and brittle like dried play dough or even dried bread dough.

Powers: according to the murals, the Cecropians possess psychic powers and shape shifting. Their psychic powers seem almost like magic, but not quite. That has been subject to myth and legend in some planets within the region. Their shape shifting ability makes them go from looking human to other alien lifeforms, but they cannot change their eyes nor other characteristics. They can sprout extra limbs or turn their skin into that of a crustacean shell or any other form, if the situation calls for it.

Society: judging by early and recent records found within the archives, they once were governed by kings and queens one billion years ago until they switched to emperor and empress later on after a period of decline of monarchy. However, their architectural designs looked whimsical and almost elegant (like something from a childrens book).

Not much is known with their relationship with other races, but their relationship with humanity was benevolent. Almost like a loving -if overbearing- parents with their children. In one record, it shows that the relationship with an arthropod race was cold.

Technology: the Cecropian technology was nothing like anything compared to other alien species, though humans can replicate some of it. One notable thing they have created are robots that served as foot soldiers and servants, not to mention vehicles that are powered by crystals. They know how to seed life on any planet by experimenting on their DNA, and use it on any chosen planet that has water. That way, new life can develop.

Researchers have discovered a storage containing devices that resembled thermo cups, but upon opening one, it contains a small blob that resembled a human infant (it's actually what Cecropians looked like as newborns). It is assumed that Cecropians store their young cryo in case of such situations, such as if most of the Cecropian population was wiped out or if the childs parents were killed.

Disappearance: not much is known on what happened to the Cecropians, other than storing their young. According to an interview with an alien who has met the Cecropians, they were reduced to panicking over something before it all went quiet. It was as if they disappeared, but they weren't extinct since researchers have discovered the young.
