Chapter 2

I followed Brice back to the dorm, since it was after all his classes. He unlocked the door, pausing so I can pass. I smile, knowing that he knows I'm still with him.

Entering the dorm, I crawl up onto my bunk. Brice plops his books down on the desk, flipping one open, history, I think.

"Hey Seto?" Brice speaks up.

I blink. "Yeah?"

I hear him sigh. "Do you think you'll ever come back? I mean, really come back?"

Thinking for a moment, I pause. What if I do return? What if I don't? "I don't know, Brice. Just hope for the best, I guess."

He nods, returning to his homework. "I just wanna see you one more time.." I hear him mumble.

Then, out of nowhere, my vision flashes black and I can't hear anything.

* * *

My body aches, and I force myself to pry my eyes open. I feel the familiar chill of one certain stone.

I sit up with a jolt, my eyes wide. I glance around, seeing the known rock of Endstone. I pull myself up to my feet.

"Hello?" I call out, my voice bouncing and echoing off the ground and similiar obsidian pillars.

"I see you have returned. Welcome back, Seto." A voice speaks in my head.

That took me back a bit. "W-who are you? Why am I back in this Hell?!"

Then, the casual face of a certain dragon approaches me. "Why, you don't remember me? I thought we were closer than that, my friend." The voice snickers.

I cross my arms. "Not to be rude, or anything.. Actually, I'm meant to be rude here! Why am I back here with you? Why'd you kill me?!"

The dragon lays itself down on the Endstone. "My, my. A fiesty sorcerer we have here, hm?"

I roll my eyes. "Yeah, sure. Call me all you want, dragon. How do I get back to my friends?"

"First of all, I'd prefer you call me by my actual name."

"And what'd that be?"

The dragon coughs, giving a flick of its tail. "Endic Douglas. Second of all, I'm not doing you a favour until you do me a favour."

I blow a lock of brown hair out of my eyes. "What's the catch?"

"Oh, no catch, young fellow. It's just what the favour is."

* * *

I tap my shoe on the floor, staring up at the beautiful ceiling of the library. Endic decided to send me back to Earth as ghost form until I'm ready to hear his favour.

The guys and everyone are here, either looking for a book to read or playing multiplayer on a computer game.

I walked over to Adam and Mitch at the computers. They were versusing at a racing game. Mitch had apparently challenged Adam, who said he was the champion of whatever they were playing.

Let's just say Adam was getting whipped like cream.

It was night, the guys headed home and Brice was asleep. I roamed the campus, staring at the moon above, until I remember something. Rather as, someone.

Running to the gates of the school, I exit, jogging to the forest. And, yes, the base is still there.

I snicker, knocking on the Pack's door. I know that we're now cool between them, but it'd be fun to mess with someone.

Hear footsteps, I decide to knock again. The door opens. "What the shrimp?" Preston asks, looking around past me.

I hold in my laughter, not taking the risk of myself beinging heard. But, who cares, only Brice can. "Heh, Preston. Get trolled!"

Preston's brown eyes widen. Did he hear me?! "C'mon, who's there? Don't be a jag!"

"Preston! Who's at the door?" I'm pretty sure Lachlan asked from inside.

He shakes his head. "No one, just a prank." He takes a second glance around. "Or I think it is.."

Before Preston goes back in, what freaks me out is that he looks straight at me. Right in the eyes, before he brings his head back and shuts the door.

My eyes widen, and I break off into a sprint back to the school.

It was morning, and Brice was finally awake. "Hey, Brice?"

"Yeah?"

I cleared my throat. "What would you do if I told you.." I sighed. "If I told you someone else could hear me, and possibly see me.."

Brice laughs softly. "I'd wanna know who that is so we could go out for tea."

Rolling my invisible brown eyes, I speak up again. "You know what I mean."

He shrugs. "That first part was right, I'd wanna know who that is. Maybe they'd know how to get you back." Brice slings his backpack over his shoulder, heading for the door to go to his classes.

I rub the back of my neck nervously. "How about if I told you that possible person was Preston?" Brice stops in dead his tracks, about to reach for the door knob.

He clears his throat. "When did you see Preston?"

"Not important," I insist, shaking my transparent head. "But what would you do, still?"

Brice sighs. "I don't know. Talk to him? See if we could figure out a way to get you back?"

I nod quietly as Brice opens the door. "Talk to you later, Seto," he says before shutting the door.

Sitting down on the lower, I sigh, hanging my head. "Only if we could talk face to face."
