We lived in a corrupt entity,
Ruled by enmity.
Our basic rights were given to us as charity,
We received with a face gloomed with pity.
In our dreams,life was like a profound verity,
But actually shallow in reality.
Evenings are so dark and lacked electricity,
Our streets are under the siege of poverty,
Lives are under threats with no security,
Minds are robbed of its sanity,
So while loots became of the majority,
Suffer besieged the minority,
They were undermined by those in authority
And their livelihoods subjected to inferiority.
