"Do you think I could talk to Kim? I need to clarify my position regarding his brother's offer" Charn asked Arm while he was getting dressed. The bodyguard felt a little awkward, he didn't know how to tell him that it was better to talk to Kinn directly, fearing that something like that could cause a problematic dynamic. Charn realized that there was something wrong with it, but he decided to continue according to his plan.

"So, is it possible or not, Arm?" Charn repeated pretending to be annoyed. Eventually Arm had to say that he would inform Kim and see if he had free time for a short meeting. The bodyguard left Charn in his room and went to the office, he found Kim sitting on his chair with his eyes closed.

"Sir... sir?"

"What is it now, Arm?"

"Khun Charn would like to talk to you" Arm responded. Kim sighed and nodded, but as soon as the poor bodyguard turned to leave, Kim stopped him and asked what was the reason for such a meeting. Arm gulped nervously, then he pulled out the "silly" card.

"I'm sorry sir, he told me something but I didn't really understand what he was talking about. You know... these lawyers always talk so much that I can barely follow their reasoning. Anyway, I'm going to call him right now" Arm responded and left immediately before his boss could continue.

After seeing Arm and hearing that he was allowed to do so, Charn went to the office and greeted Kim, who immediately asked him without too many pleasantries what he wanted from him. Charn chuckled and then he replied:

"I don't want anything... it was actually the reason why I wanted to meet you. Your older brother, Kinn, offered me to work for your family. I'm very sorry, but I fear that I have to decline your offer"

Kim was surprised by that, however he made sure that the smart man in front of him didn't really catch that. He nodded and instead of insisting, trying to convince him of the advantages of such a task, he preferred to pose a different question:

"I understand, you don't have to worry about it, you're free to choose after all. May I ask you why you reported this to me, instead of simply telling Kinn that you don't want to work for us anymore?"

"The first reason is that I told him I needed time to think about it. The second one, is that I thought you were aware of it, and considering that you are the chief of the family, it made more sense to tell you my decision, instead of trying to contact Kinn through your bodyguards" Charn responded.

"I see, well, I must say that I would have appreciated your help, considering your usefulness during this case. We will meet again in court during the trial then. However, if you change your mind, you can always come back. Families like ours are always in need for good lawyers, especially when politics start getting involved. Oh, may I ask you a favor?"

"Sure, what may I do for you, Khun Kim?" Charn asked.

"Tell Arm to come here, if you meet him in the corridors"
