Chapter 16

Prince Shay's P.O.V
"Do we tell your parents that Seto and Jackson were on the ship?" Juliet asks.

"No, besides I have already made sure the sailors didn't see them." I said as we walk into the Dusaro Kingdom. The island that it's on is large, large enough that it would take a day to go from one end to the other end. The Kingdom has tall stone walls with guard towers, inside are buildings of different shapes and styles. But all are either shops, homes, or something else. A dirt road lies in between going in various directions through the Kingdom. And finally the royal castle is at the center of it all. It has a courtyard and a castle with tall towers and many rooms. The people that are in the Kingdom have many fine silk clothes usual in bright colors, the men bare tattoos all over his chest and arms mainly as it is a custom here for the men to bare tattoos. Children are playing in the streets, sometimes even getting in the way of traffic. The girls are usually wearing dresses of the finest designs and fabric. I look at Juliet. Juliet was never one to like wearing dresses, I can't really complain. I'm not big on wearing bright colors like the citizens are. And I usually do wear dark clothes to bend in whenever I'm sent out with the troops.

"If there is a door to the wherever the wizards are, they are opening it meaning we could get in there." Juliet said.

"I don't know. My father will be mad at me for letting the Prince get away but also be happy to find out that there could be more wizards and we know how to get there." I said. Once we enter the castle we both head the throne room. I mean this trip wasn't all that bad. Things went to hell after we left Psyra, they at least got interesting.

Prince Seto's P.O.V
Amarisa walks beside me as Jackson and I walk through the woods. I turn my head back seeing the big flags from the castle.

"We are almost there." Jackson said. Amarisa takes a few more steps forward. Jackson's hands glows and a white key appears in her hand. "This is your first time coming isn't it?"

"Yeah." I said.

"I don't get that Seto. How could you not been to Laendur?" Jackson said.

"It's a long story." I said.

"One that you don't even know." Amarisa thought. I look over at Amarisa.

"I thought you...I thought you looked familiar somehow, but knowing your magic type confirms it." Jackson said.

"Confirms what?" I ask. She stops making me almost bump into her.

"Arcane wizards died off a long time ago Seto." She said.

"W-What?" I ask. She turns halfway and looks at me. "What happened to them?"

"Arcane wizards have this magical energy, energy that the mortals can use. But they can't hold the energy all at once themselves, they give half of it to a familiar. Amarisa in your case." Jackson said.

"Is that so?! So King Jackass knew he could use your magic for sometimes that you didn't." Amarisa thought. I ignore her, even though it has to be true.

"I can't explain it well Seto, but my friend can." Jackson said. She turns back around and continues walking. I follow her. "I'll get you your own key, but this is your last time in this dimension so make it last." I stop in my tracks at that. Jackson does as well.

"Wait, I can't come back?" I ask.

"No. You obviously don't understand how important you really are to us." Jackson said.

"Us?" I ask.

"To wizards. There aren't very many wizards left Seto. Laendur was once a great wizard city, but most of it is abandoned because the wizards that once lived there are dead. We are a dying race, but you could change that." Jackson said. Me? Why does this have to depend on me?! "And you aren't a good liar either. Has anyone told you that?"

"Yes." Amarisa thought. Jackson looks at me.

"You're safer with my friends and I." She said.

"Oh so you think I can't take care of myself?" I asks.

"Oh no. I think you can because arcane wizards are said to be the most powerful wizards, I haven't seen you use magic expect for almost lighting an entire dock on fire." Jackson said.

"I was protecting Amarisa." I said.

"Yeah well you need to control yourself. If you lose control or lose your focus, it could be lethal to yourself and everyone around you." Jackson said. I don't respond because I don't really know how to. We just continue walking in silence.

After a few minutes or something, Jackson stops. She rises the key in her hand and then turns it. But there is nothing there. I hear an unlocking sound and a door appears all of a sudden.

"Well your highness, welcome to what's left of Laendur." Jackson said as we go through.

"Don't call me Prince or highness." I said looking around. We are in a big stone room with doors everywhere. The window ceiling is broken and vines are hanging down and moss and vegetation are growing everywhere. There were banners hanging on the walls, but some are torn down or just faded. This place looks run down.

"Follow me." Jackson said walking pass me. I follow her out of the room with Amarisa on my heels.

"So where is everyone?" I ask.

"Like I said, Laendur is mostly abandoned. Wizards have either died or moved on from this once great city. This was the main hub for everything magic, but since the day mortals turned on us, we have been shrinking. Now it's only me and my friends that remain here and a couple of others that keep to themselves." Jackson said. We walk down a broken staircase. Basically this entire place is broken, and looks like ruins. "Age hasn't done this city very well. A lot of structures gave in and collapsed, vegetation grew on them. But it's still livable." Once we finally get outside, we are in a giant courtyard with trees and grass growing way too tall. There is a fountain that doesn't seem to work anymore but just holds green water now. The sky is clear and turning dark. As we get into the city I see giant land masses crashed into buildings with buildings on the land masses. "The fallen land masses were floating islands in the sky at one point, a bridge connected them all. Each island represented a magic type with arcane being the biggest island. But when that island fell, the others fell soon after." We get onto what I'm guessing is the road and I haven't seem any sign of life expect for bugs. This place looks ancient, Jackson was right. Aging hasn't been nice to Laendur. "We're over here." At least there are street lamps that still work along the dirt road. There are giant white stone walls that must surround the entire city, they have guard towers ever now and then, but even the wall itself is in bad shape. Up the road to the left I see a giant gate that is connected to the wall, but the gate is closed. We continue walking and she walks onto a pathway. She goes ip porch steps and I follow. She knocks on the door.

"Who's there?" A voice asks.

"Open the door!" Jackson yelled. I smile a little. I hear a lock turn and the door opens revealing a girl seeming around Jace's age. We all go inside. Amarisa jumps onto a couch and lays down on it. The girl takes a step back and looks at me.

"So who is this?" She asks.

"Seto. Amelia. Amelia. Seto." Jackson said. Amelia has dark red hair that reaches to her waist, green eyes, light grey skinny jeans, black combat boots, crimson fingerless gloves, and a yin yang charm on a black choker that is around her neck.

"Hey." Amelia said waving her hand at me a little.

"Hi." I said. She turns to Amarisa now.

"So what's with the cat?" Amelia asks.

"I'll explain, where's Mason?" Jackson asks.

"Upstairs." Amelia said. Jackson disappears and then a few seconds later a scream erupts from upstairs. "What's your type?" I look at Amelia.

"Arcane." I said. Amelia laughs.

"No seriously." Amelia said laughing. I don't say anything and then she loses her smile. "You aren't kidding. So that's your familiar?" I nod. She sits down next to Amarisa who I can tell would really rather sleep.

"Her name is Amarisa." I said.

"She's passed out." Amelia said.

"It's been an eventful day." I said.

"I bet. I can smell the fire off you. You play with fire?" She asks looking at me with hopeful eyes.

"A little." I said.

"I'm a fire element wizard, so that's how I can tell." She said. She turns to me on the couch as I sit down on a separate one. "I never have seen an arcane wizard."

"Why?" I ask.

"Because their type is a lost magic. Arcane magic is the hardest type of magic to learn." She said.

"Well he's pretty damn good at it." Jackson said coming down the stairs with a guy behind her. The guy has dark brown hair, black fingerless gloves with small dark gray crystals imbedded ontop of his hands, gray eyes, a white shirt that is open a little, a black sleeveless hooded jacket, dark blue jeans, and black sneakers. "This is Mason. Mason this is Seto and his familiar Amarisa."

"A familiar. Hmm..so you are an arcane wizard." Mason said walking pass Jackson and sitting down in a chair. "Why is he here?"

"Because Kaiden can help him and in return Seto can help us." Jackson said. I look over at Jackson.

"With what exactly?" I ask.

Jenna's P.O.V
"You have to go now. There were more of them." Jace said as I put some torn fabric around the broken arrow.

"Princess come over here! I need your help." I said. The Princess is pale, probably sick from seeing blood or something. I grab the arrow. "Brace yourself Jace. This is gonna hurt." I pull on the arrow and Jace grits his teeth together. I pull it out and he groans loudly. I quickly wrap his shoulder tight.

"You have to go now. They a-are coming." Jace said pushing my hands away. I shake my head. "Take River and go to Elidin. Seto would kill me if anything happened to his s-sister." I grip his jacket in my hands.

"No we-"

"I'll s-slow you d-down." Jace said. I hear the Princess walking over. "I'll catch up." I hug him suddenly.

"You better or else I'll kill you myself." I said. I let go of him.

"What are we doing?" The Princess asks. Something I know she won't like. We are close to Elidin Kingdom, we could probably make it before sunset.

"I can t-take care of m-myself." Jace stuttered. I know he can. I get up and go to the horse. I search the bags and the Princess kneels down next to Jace.

"What are we doing?" She asks. I grab some bandages and some water. I go over to Jace and set it down next to him. I grab the Princess's wrist and pull her to her feet and to the horse.

"Get on." I said. She looks at Jace.

"What about Jace?" She asks. I climb onto the horse. I grab the reins.

"Climb on." I said.

"Jace." The Princess said.

"I'll c-catch up River." He said. She doesn't move for a second, I put my hand out to her. "G-Go." The Princess takes my hand and I pull her up behind me on the horse. I hit the horses sides and we take off, leaving Jace behind.

I do have a few things to say in regards to....a lot of things. So it's easy to tell that you guys seem to be enjoying this story! That makes me so happy because I have worked hard on this storyline! But I do seem to write a lot of setosorcerer stories..whatever..

I haven't posted a new chapter to this story in a long time so I had to make this one count. Also because this chapter in general took me a long time to write. So sorry about that! It's sometimes to remember what is happening with one story when you are writing five stories at once! It's hilarious when I sometimes write a chapter in the wrong book.

But I hope you all have enjoyed the chapter! Bye guys! :)
