Infinite's Pov:
Both Sonic and Rouge forced me to enter the base. I got very nervous and angry glares from the rest of the resistance. I avoided eye contact as we made our way upstairs. "Gadget is in there...don't you dare think about escaping. Come down these stairs you'll regret it." Sonic warned me before they both left.

Gadget...I get to see him again? I was about to knock until I heard mumbling. "Infinite...will you help me find my brother's attacker?" Gadget mumbled very softly yet the room made it sound like echos. He must miss me...but I'm Gears' attacker. What will happen when this door opens?

I knocked very lightly as nervousness overtook my body. "If you're Sonic or Tails go away. If not come in." Gadget said. I entered to see Gadget sitting next to Gears who was lying in bed. "I-Infinite?" The red wolf whispered. "How are you here?" He added standing up. "Sonic and Rouge found me and forced me to come here." I said very annoyed.

"Oh right...those two are idiots much like the trembling child known as Tails." He added as he walked towards me. "I thought you and Tails were good friends...?" I said which sounded more like a question. "We were...but he failed to cure my brother. So I threw him against the wall..." he said rather calmly.

"What!? Gadget...you would never hurt anyone! What's wrong with you?!" I exclaimed backing up. "I'll calm down once I find my brother's attacker!" He said crossing his arms. "I-I...attacked...him..." I whispered under my breath. "You did...huh.? Not a surprise." He said grabbing me by the shoulders.

How did he hear me? I began trembling, something was wrong with him. "G-Gadget? Why did you change so much? Where was the kind, sweet, and innocent wolf I fe-" he cut me off by pushing me outside. He slammed the door shut as I got up.

"Whoa! What happened?" A familiar voice said. I turned around to see that blue hedgehog. "I honestly don't know...I admitted that I attacked his brother. Then he pushed me outside." I explained as we went downstairs. "At least you're not dead.." Sonic said which made me question.

Did something happen to Gadget? Why is he acting like me? Like he's the villain in someone's story. Does he not remember his friends here at the resistance base? Does he not remember me? As well as our memories?
