Ira's/Infinite's Pov:
We arrived to the constitution site only to see that someone did indeed attack here. Smoke was coming out of deconstructed site, bloody footprints were leading to different workers, and the corpses of the workers. I felt shock that Gadget would have a probability of doing this.

I looked at Sonic and he was shaking while looking like he wanted to throw up. "Sonic, you okay?" I asked rubbing his back. "N-no! Come on, let's see if anyone is alive!" He responded and grabbed my arm. He started running, looking for any signs of anyone being alive but nothing. "Sonic..." I said as he stopped, realized this was some sort of massacre. He sighed looking as he was deep in his thoughts. He looked as if he was trying to find of ways to probably save everyone here and bring them to life.

Sadly there was none, no options nor going back. "Who am I kidding? I can't fix this...it's all my fault." He responded in a soft voice. "Don't say that! We can find out who did this!" I encouraged as his body fell to the ground with a thump. "Ira...I hate to say it but I can't save this world. If this is how everything looked like when I was gone back in the war...then what kind of hero am I?" He replied as a tear pricked his eye and he wiped it away quickly.

He looked weak and I can tell he felt useless but I'm not very good with these type of things. "Yes, you're very useless." Someone said and we both looked in the direction of the sound. "G-Gadget?" Sonic replied suddenly standing up. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, I was at a loss for words. Gadget had a darker shade of fur, wearing my mask, different shoes, and his gloves had the infinity sign on them.

"Is that the Phantom Ruby?" I asked as I looked at the gem in horror. "Yep and you can see how powerful I am now. All these weak and pathetic workers were probably begging for me to kill them." Gadget responded in a low tone of voice. "What happened to you? Where's the Rookie I know!?" Sonic asked as we both backed up. "Oh, he's gone and is now replaced by a more updated version." He responded walking towards us.

"Gadget...why would you do this?" I asked, being frighten to the core. He floated into the air while growling a bit. I knew I must have done something to make him mad. I felt something bang itself against my head and I immediately fell to the ground. Everything looked blurry and I saw Sonic fall on the ground as well. I looked to see a small puddle of blood around my head.

"My name is Perfect Infinity, sweetheart." Gadget said and everything turned dark.
