Sonic's Pov:
"What's taking Gadget so long?" Ira asked entering the room. It's been 2 hours since he left and we've all been worried sick. "We don't know where he is. The map won't show us." Amy responded still working her fingers on the computer. "It's as if the Rookie cut himself off." Knuckles added in with a probability of his disappearance.

"SONIC, IRA! GET UP HERE!" Tails voice yelled from upstairs. We both went up a little concerned that is until we saw. "Mm...Sonic? What happened?" A now conscious Gears asked tiredly. "I can explain that.." Ira replied walking towards Gears. "Sonic, who's that?" Gears asked sitting up. "Well it's a long story..." I said sitting down on his bed. Then we began the story.

From his attack, to his brother's strange behavior, and then Infinite. He seemed confused, worried, scared, and a little mad. "Oh well it's nice to know that Ira is on our side but where's Gadget maybe I can talk with him." Gears said getting up. "That's the thing we don't know where he is." Ira replied as Tails helped Gears get up. "First, let's see if anything wrong happened with you." Tails said looking for a machine of his. Once he spotted it, he went over to get until he saw the screen.

He dropped it and gasped in disbelief. "Buddy, did something happen?" I asked walking towards him. "I-I...Yes but I have to get a screenshot of this and send it over to my computer." He explained and that's what he did. He finally scaned Gears and checked the results. "Alright, just a broken arm but it'll heal in 2 weeks." He said and went to find some bandages.

He wrapped Gears' in right arm in bandages and then a bandana to hold his arm. "Thanks Tails." Gears said as he headed downstairs. "Hey, Gears is awake!" Sliver exclaimed and everyone went over to see him. It seemed rather comforting until I saw Tails. He looked rather scared of something as he went on his computer. "Tails, what's going on?" I asked him as I stood in front of him. My glare and tone of voice was stern and he finally looked up.

"I figured out what's wrong with Gagdet but I need to call a meeting." Tails responded and I nodded. "Can I have everyone's attention? Tails has something to say.." I announced and everyone turned to my best friend. "I figured what's wrong with Gagdet and it's not pretty." Tails started off and put his computer screen on the big screens we had.

We all gasped and I heard mumbling as we saw the screen. "Gagdet has the Phantom Ruby.." Tails said pointing towards the screen. "That explains why my Phantom Ruby isn't working!" Ira exclaimed and we all turned to him. "When a new Phantom Ruby is actived, the previous one will deactivate." Ira explained and we all nodded. "If the Rookie has the Phantom Ruby then the construction site.." Shadow stated and I looked at Ira.

"Ira, let's go!" I exclaimed and he nodded. "Wait, I wanna go.." Gears said walking towards us. "No, you stay here!" I exclaimed and he just nodded weakly. Both me and Ira ran towards the door a bit scared. Who knows what Gadget did!
