Tails' Pov:
I was behind Gadget's door, listening from the other side. I heard footsteps and I turned around to see Infinite and Sonic standing there. They seemed like they gotton along nicely considering the fact, they're not hurt. I put a finger over my mouth signaling them to be quiet.

"Hey buddy, you want to check on Rookie too?" Sonic whispered to me. I nodded as I continued to listen. "Alright knock on the door." I whispered as I pulled away from the door. Infinite knocked on it and Gadget opened it. "Is there anything you need?" Gadget asked a bit nervously.

"Uh, Rookie how you been? You've seemed very aggressive lately to the point of hurting people!" Sonic explained scratching his head. "Oh that well come in!" Gadget replied as we entered his room. We all sat down on the floor since the bed was occupied by a unconscious Gears.

"So...care to explain your behavior lately?" I said as I played with my fingers nervously. What if we accidently make him mad again? I should probably make these negative thoughts go away. "Oh well, I was just blinded by my own anger." Gadget started out turning to his brother.

"I was just filled with hatred for the person who attacked my brother. I was so determined to find him or her and make them suffer! I guess I didn't see all the damage that I've done. I'm truly sorry guys, I didn't mean to hurt you." Gadget explained, apologizing for his mistakes. We all nodded to his apologie and he gave us a smile to us.

We all said our goodbyes as we exited the room but both me and Sonic noticed Infinite. Me and Sonic were talking while Infinite just walked with us in awkward silence. "Ira, is something up with you?" Sonic asked him with a worried expression. "Ira?" I whispered to Sonic. "Ira, is his real name!" Sonic whispered back and then returned to Infi-I mean Ira.

"It's just Gadget...he's so different now." Ira said which confused me and Sonic. "What do you mean? He's seeming perfectly fine now!" I asked him, my confusion growing bigger. "It's just when he smiled, I looked at his eyes. They seemed lifeless like he had no inch of human inside him." Ira began to explain.

"In short, he's acting a bit like me!" Ira excalimed to which both me and Sonic gasped.
