This chapter was inspired by not only another writer but a personally amazing idea I have had for a long time. I just wanted to point that out.

Also, Cause Ducks.

Young Shouto stared outside his bedroom window, at not only the scenery around the
mansion-like house but at the cheery girl who danced around the yard with a downy white dog, the creature hopping around her whilst its tongue lolled to the side. She laughed,  immediately running away from the snowy dog as it barked and softly headbutted her. He watched them play for a few more minutes before a soft whistle snapped the large dog's attention away from the (H/C) girl.

The girl seemed to pout, her shoulders slumping as the dog disappeared from view. Someone who appeared to be her mother stepped out into the wet lawn, and began speaking, seemingly reprimanding the now silent girl.

The (H/C) haired girl raised her head as her mother walked back into the house, shooting a disgusted look at the scenery around her. The girl, when her mother had disappeared into the house, spun around in a circle and giggled to herself as she tumbled into the dewy grass. After a few minutes of silent giggling, the girl rolled around and squirmed to her feet, brushing herself off and pulling leaves from her now tangled hair.

Before disappearing inside, she ran over and stood over what appeared to be a pond. She stuck her hand into it, the water beginning to flow upwards and into the sky, the few koi fish inhabiting it swimming right towards her, before circling again. She said a few inaudible words before the water splashed safely back into the small pond whilst the bubbling from the fish seemed to continue even after she turned away and sped along inside, nearly slipping on the grass as she disappeared from sight.

Shouto quickly found knowledge of this girl whom he had never seen before, as his older sister had begun to speak of her once before only to be hushed by their father as he strode into the room.

She was (Y/N) (L/N), born with a water-bearing quirk in which she could turn herself into water. Liquification, as his father had called it. She, when using it, could turn her body parts into the water. When touching water whilst her quirk is active, the access water basically becomes part of her body until said body part shifts back. According to his father, (Y/N)'s parents had already agreed to a possible arranged marriage. Of course, for them, it all depended on Shouto's willingness to go through with it. Being the decent parents they were, neither wished to press the young boy into marriage.

So when the girl had called to him from outside her window late one Saturday night, Shouto seemed incredibly surprised. "Hey, Neighbour!" She had chirped, bouncing up and down on her windowsill. "I'm (Y/N)! My mam and dad said you were really nice and that I should try talking to you!" She giggled, eyes wide. "I haven't really met very many people, so you're gonna be my first friend!" She said the word like it was foreign and she had never used such a word before. As if it was never in her vocabulary.

Shouto obviously looked taken back, because her face flickered hues of red. "S-Sorry, I mean, only if you wanna be my friend!" She covered her face in her hands, muttering an insult to herself for barely being able to talk to another human being.

Shouto couldn't help but smile at the struggle the (H/C) haired girl seemed to have with her words. "Don't worry. I haven't spoken to many either. Shouto Todoroki." I nodded. Her eyes immediately lit up, her head resting in the cover of her arms as her chin rested on the windowsill, a tired grin never the less on her face as they began to talk. The grin that never seemed to tire. No matter the number of hours they sat there just talking nonsense. No matter the number of hours they sat there, they always seemed to find comfort in the presence of each other.

No matter what, they would meet at their windows every night. Which is why when she didn't retreat to the window, worry flooded into Shouto's veins while anxiety filled his stomach. For most of the night, he sat there with his head resting on his hands while the cold night air nipped at his exposed skin. Eventually, dawn grew near and Shouto's eyes fluttered shut as sleep stole him away from reality.

Shouto, much to his surprise, found himself awakening to the sound of police sirens and the shrill cries from a woman. Quickly, he glanced out the still open window, eyes widening as he recognized (Y/N)'s mother and father as they stood there, huddled in each other's touch as they spoke with the police. Shouto felt my heart drop, realizing that (Y/N) hadn't come to the window last night.

Rolling off the bed, Shouto slipped down the stairs and overheard both his mother and father speaking to the police in the living room, consoling with them of what little they knew about the girl in general, the sound of tearing paper echoing through the now silent paper as a detective and a cop stepped out of the house, a muffled cry escaping his mother.

"Enji, We must do something to help find her!" Shouto's mother, Rei, sputtered. "I-I couldn't imagine the feeling of losing a child, especially one of my own. Enji, we must!"

"Rei. No. I know as a mother you can relate to the (L/N) Family, but there is nothing we can do, nor anything I would dare try. The child was merely a pawn to be played with Shouto, Rei. I have told you that. She means little to nothing to Shouto's future."

"What do you know about his future!?" Rei's footsteps were heard as she stood up. "You created him because you wanted a monster to pass you and All Might as the Number One Hero. He is merely a child, Enji! Your blood! Family!"

"Blood means nothing when it isn't worthy of my time." He growled, walking down another hallway and into a room which Shouto could only assume was his office, the door slamming shut. Rei, exhaling a sigh, stepped over to the phone and shakily grabbed hold of it, dialing a number.

"M-Mom?"

The passing years without you obviously took a toll on the once happy child as he quickly grew into what his father deemed worthy of succeeding him. Much to Shouto's distaste, of course. You had always told him he was unique and that he would never be his father. You had always seemed to encourage him, and even with you gone, replaying your words in his head always seemed to help him cope with anything that seemed to take a mental toll on him. He cared nothing of the physical pain he dealt with, as he assumed you were going through much, much worse.

Shouto refused to believe you were dead. Under any circumstances, he believed not what his father had been trying to convince him of for years. His father had always assumed you were the thing holding him from his 'full potential'. Of course, that was only part of the truth. Even without your influence on him, Shouto still would have rebelled against the demon he called father.

Nothing had been heard of you since the disappearance, and most of the world just assumed your death. Some, though, thought harder on the situation. They assumed you were kidnapped and attempted to be used as a ransom. Of course, that must of backfired, as most of the cities and cities beyond there were on the lookout for the (H/C) haired female.

Of course, not a trace of you was found and as the years grew by, the public gradually forgot about the heroine's daughter and went on to live their lives. Shouto, on the other hand, couldn't seem to get you out of his head. So when he attended UA, it was purely for the fact that after hours and hours of talking, he had discovered your love for heroism and dream to be a hero.

It had been a promise the two of you would attend UA together, but you never even got to stand at the prestigious gates of the school whilst still alongside him. Of course, stepping onto the school grounds reminded Shouto his reasoning for wanting to be a hero.

To save you.

Shouto's stomach did summersaults as he stepped into the USJ, an unnerving feeling echoing in his stomach. The feeling only extended as villains flooded into the USJ, the mist man closing in on us.

"Not so fast, EraserHead. Sorry to burst your bubble..." The male with hands gripping his pitch-black clothes seemed to grin under the hand on his face. "But if you take one more step, I'll disintegrate this poor little girl." His heart leaped out of his chest as Shouto watched on in horror, a streak of (H/C) hair escaping the portal and rolled to the ground in a mess of what had now brought him torture. Her hair slung over her face and shoulders as she knelt on the ground, letting out a weak cough as a hand twisted around her throat.

"A captive?! What the hell are you playing at, damned villains?" Aizawa yells, eyes flaring red under the goggled that lined his face. "What do you hope to achieve? Can't you see? All Might isn't here!"

"Oh, but she can bring him here. She will bring him here." He spits, his grip visibly tightening around your throat. "Won't you, Kid?"

With the rest of the strength you inquired, you raised your chin to meet his eyes. "Go. To. Hell!" You yelled, your feet pushing back and slamming into him. You liquified your neck and head, causing his hand to slip straight through you as you rolled away, breathing heavily. "D-Damn... Even the slightest amount of energy usage could kill me in this state." You relayed to yourself, before grinning. Aizawa spared a glance at you before continuing to attack the evermore villains that emerged from the portal.

Staring at the hand villain, you dragged yourself to your feet, stumbling, but never the less standing. Knowing you would surely lose against the male, seeing as he was not only healthier but not as absolutely energy-deprived as you, you glanced around nervously for any or all nearby water source. Your eyes widened as they hooked onto a large body of water.

The villain before me seemed to catch your idea and ran forward. You panicked, immediately shifting towards the water and began running. Due to your weakened state, It wasn't hard for him to catch up to you. You rolled to the ground, watching with terror-filled eyes as his hand reached down towards your throat.

Suddenly, you felt something wrap around your waist, dragging you into the water. You let out a gasp, feeling most of your energy return as the water swirled around your body, parts of it already morphing into the chilled liquid. Looking around, you shot forward in the water. You noticed a frog looking girl swimming through the water towards a male with green hair, fear rising in the male's face at the sight of a shark villain. You narrowed your eyes, feet morphing with the water and propelling you forward. As the frog attacked the shark, You scooped up the male, lunging upwards and out of the water. We landed on the deck of the boat that was previously above us.

He looked at me, startled. Moving your soaked hair out of your face, You staring down at him before smiling. "You okay?" You asked.

He nodded, seemingly more concerned for you. You looked down into the water, watching the frog slide onto the deck with another male in tow, purple balls atop his head. "Kero, Hey." She croaks, dropping the boy on his face.

"Hello. Thanks for the--" You were cut off by pounding on the bottom of the boat, villains beginning to swarm around it, cheering curses. Whilst you weren't paying attention, the small group of three began to devise a plan.

You leaned over the edge of the boat slightly, your hair curling around your shoulders. One of the villains looked up at you and smirked before slashing the ship down the middle. You screamed, slipping over the edge of the boat and tumbling into the water. Of course, it wasn't a problem. In fact, it was much more convenient for you than being on land or boat.

You noticed a villain as he swam straight for you, webbed feet helping him speed through the water. Without your (h/l) (h/c) hair getting in your way, you didn't have a problem when fighting the bastard. He slashed at you, and you merely morphed with the water. Slamming a now solid hand into his back, you threw your hand back and sent a powerful punch of water at his back, sending him face-first into the sand at the bottom of the water.

You shot back up to the surface, watching the little black balls once at the top of the child-looking boy's head go flying into the water, sticking to the unwary villains. You raised your chin and grinned. The frog girl croaked as the male I had saved jumps into the air and with a yell, his arm lit up and he flicked his fingers, his quirk seeming to activate and creating a giant whirlpool as the boat they mounted continued to sink.

Surprisingly, you weren't pulled into the swirling waters at which erupted helpless screams and curses of villains as they got caught in the twisting vortex. After you calmed the waters down, the three of them dived in and you all began swimming back to the main part of the plaza.

Refusing to even look at the battle before them, you sink into the water, your hair swimming around your head. When you opened your eyes, you yelped as you were dragged down deeper into the water.

You recognized the villain as the one you had sent flying into the sand. Bubbles rose from his nose and mouth, a blacking eye pasted on his face. His lips were curled into a snarl as he dragged you down further into the water. You morphed your foot into the water, giving the second you needed to burst upward and out of the water, rolling back onto the platform. "Shit." You hissed. You stood up, shaking off droplets of water.

You realized All Might was now there, slamming his fists into the stomach and arms of Nomu. Grumbling curses, you slid in beside the Ash Blonde and Veridian haired boy. "Well, What's the plan?" I asked, earning a confused glare from the Ash Blonde.

"Who the fuck are you?!" He barks, eyebrows seemingly permanently furrowed. "We don't need some anti-hero's help!"

"I'm not an anti-hero, and from the looks of it," You hissed, pushing the male to the side as a villain rushes forward, his fist going straight through your now water stomach. "You do need my help!" I kicked out, the villain tumbling to the ground.

He was silent for a second before he shoves his hand into the villain's face, knocking him out as explosions ripped from his palms. "Then who the fuck are you?" He growls, eyes seemingly glowing.

"I'm-" Your eyes widened as All Might twisted backward, intending to slam its head into the ground. Instead, Kurogiri creates a portal that turns Nomu completely around, enabling the bird brain to dig its hands into All Might's sides.

You flinched, watching in horror as the villains began taunting the Number One Hero. You felt my heart drop, tears threatening my eyes. "We've lost. I-If they succeed in killing All Might--" Your words got caught on your tongue as ice slid across the ground and froze the Nomu's lower body, giving All Might the chance he needed to snap its legs off.

You immediately searched for the ice user, eyes locking with the familiar pair of heterochronic eyes, the once pricking tears streaming down your face.

"Shouto!"

"(Y/N)?!"
