Xephyr the poor cinna-bunny. :3

~~~~~Zephyr's P.O.V. + Dreams~~~~~

I aimlessly wandered the forest at night. I was pale blue, as if I was a ghost. The trees were also pale blue, and everything was cool colored. The I saw something different.

A clearing. There were two cages sitting on top of a stone platform, which was painted to have the yin-yang sign on it. One cage was sitting on the black part, and the other cage on the white. The stone circle itself had numerous stone pillars surrounding it. Each pillar had a hole, and each hole had a ledge, as if someone were to be sitting on them.

I stared at it, wondering what it did. I took a step forward and looked at one of the pillars. A small ball of blue light appeared on it's surface. I watched as it zipped about, leaving a glowing trail. It was making a picture...of me? I was tied up, and seemed to be floating in nothing.

I went to the next pillar and the same thing happened. Except a new picture showed: It was me, tied up, floating in nothing. But there was a hand reaching out, as if to pull me up out of what I guessed was water.

I was tied up.
Someone reached out for me.

Huh. Cryptic. I watched the next pictures form.

The hand grabs me.
I am being pulled up.
Something creeps up from the bottom of the image.
It takes the form of a pair of hands.
Both sets grab me and try to pull me towards them.
Two more sets of hands appear on the top side.
The three pairs of hands are pulling me up, the bottom are dragging me down.
I wake up.

That was the last pillar. I look around for another one, but there is only forest. I wonder what happened to...'me'. I jumped as something shifted in the underbrush.

I turned to see my two brother, and Shara. I walked towards them on instinct until a heard a soft cry. I turned to see Xephyr standing on the black part on the yin-&-yang. I turn to him. He looks around, not saying anything, and motions for me to go to him. I start towards him but then stop. I turn to by brother and Shara, who are also motioning for me to join them.

Who do I chose?

For some reason, I felt like it was a do-or-die situation. I look from Xephyr to family. If I put it like that... I stepped towards my family only hear a cry of pain from Xephyr, making me stop. He had a chain around on ankle, and it was clearly causing him pain. I slowly moved towards him and saw the chain become lose. I turned to see my family moving away, their faces hidden by a fog.

Do I really have to chose?

I look between Xephyr and my family, wondering who I should follow. I didn't want to leave Xeph, not after what he's been through. Yet at the same time my family...they're my family. I slowly turned and walked towards my family.

I heard Xephyr screaming in pain, which only made me hesitate even more. I felt a small pain in my chest and stopped moving. The pain quickly grew, as if something was eating me alive. Is this the pain the Xephyr feels? I wondered. I turned and started towards Xephyr, wanting the pain to go away.

I heard Shara's voice pierce the air in a song.

"Thank you, I'll say goodbye soon.
Though it's the end of the world, don't blame yourself.
   And if it's true,
      I will surround you,
         and give life to a world,
            that's our own."

What? Am I...what...? Chronos' voice split the night air.

"Thank you, I'll say goodbye now.
Though it's the end of the world, don't blame yourself.
   And if it's true,
      I will surround you,
         and give life to a world,
            that's our own."

A new world?

"Now we wander endless, free from all regret.
Just one reset, and the world ends.
'Why even try? Just give up, I did'
You hold on- Tokyovania..."

Giving up...??? Reset...???

"Now we wander, free from all regret.

I turned and practically ran to Xephyr, who was doubled over in pain.

"Now we're lost souls, all stuck in the past.
Why have faith? It never lasts.
Hello, now say, goodbye to a world.
You go on, Tokyovania..."

Lost souls? Faith? I could no longer comprehend what anyone was saying as Xephyr's weak voice called out the next verse.

"Now we're lost souls, all stuck in the past.
Why have faith? It never lasts.
Tell me how you plan to save the world?
All your friends are dead.
     Plan to save yourself?
        End up like the rest?
           No one cares enough.
              Now the rest have fled.
                 It's not much for hope-
                    But it's all we get."

Faith...? It he.....just scared....??

The verse repeated itself two more times. Was Xephyr just scared? Was he simply scared of being erased? Of being alone?

I finally made it to Xephyr, everything around us was thick fog. He was collapsed, curled up. I grabbed his arm, feeling the pain getting worse. I shook him. "Wake up!"

"Wake up..."
"Wake up!!"
"WAKE UP!!!!"

~~~~~End of Dream~~~~~

I jolted awake to someone shaking me. Cider. I sat up, clutching my head. "Are you okay?!" Shara demanded. I nodded, processing what I had seen. "Oh thank the gods..." I felt Chronos hug me.

"What happened...?" I asked.

~~~~~Flashback~~~~~

Shara was sharing ways to separate Zephyr and Xephyr with Cider and Chronos. "We could store Xephyr is a computer," Cider suggested. Shara shrugged.

"It could work, it's worth a shot. When do we tell him?" Shara asked.

"I say we don't. Xephyr could take over and stop us, so we should keep it private," Cider said. Chronos stayed out of it. "When do we start?"

"Let's get it over with already," Shara got up, with the others following her.

~~~~~Flashback Over~~~~~

"So....that's what happened," Chronos explained. I nodded, feeling like...something was missing. No, someone was missing.

"Where is Xephyr?" I asked.
