Chapter 6: Pandora's Vault

Technoblade couldn't lie he wasn't disappointed when he saw Quackity had made it to their house before he did. His bright blue eyes looked scared, a nervous smile on his face as he awkwardly waved towards the villain before him. He sat on their couch, a cup of tea surely made by his father nestled in his hands as the two stared at one another.

Wilbur sat next to the birdman, arm lazily stretched along the back of the couch where Quackity sat, his brown eyes watching both Quackity and Technoblade with wondering eyes. "What'd he do this time?" It was Phil's voice, the man sounding too tired to try and sound angry. Techno pointed towards Quackity, who yelped at the quick action, wings fluttering open some as the motion.

"The heroes are after him because he has some dirt on Pandora's Vault." Both Wilbur and Philza's eyes widened, both pairs of eyes turning towards the yellow-winged man. He sat frozen, cheeks puffed out and red in embarrassment.

"Didn't we tell you to stay away from Pandora's Vault?" Phil growled, crossing his arms as he spoke. Oh,  guess he did have some energy to be angry after all. Quackity gulped, setting his cup of tea down as he cleared his throat.

"Well, yes... but-" Wilbur launched forwards, hands resting firmly on Quackity's shoulders, brown eyes concerned as he stared in the other villains' own blue.

"No buts! That place is dangerous, they could have captured you and I-we wouldn't have seen you ever again!" Quackity blinked at Wilbur before he smiled.

"Please, as they'd ever be able to capture me." The bird crossed his arms, puffing his chest out some put of confidence. It was true that Quackity had a long history of slipping out of dangerous situations like being caught, once even managing to get out of a cop car with his cuffs still on, but something tells Technoblade this was a close call even for the sly villain.

"What did you get your hands on that made the heroes hunt you down?" Philza asked, taking a seat on the other couch facing Quackity and a now calm Wilbur. Technoblade took a seat next to his father, even if he wanted to change he knew if he left he would miss something important and then he'd have to ask everyone what happened and feel out of place when they started talking about things he didn't understand.

"So, I broke into Pandora's Vault-"

"Your first mistake." Wilbur grumbled as he sat back in his seat. His arms were crossed as he got comfortable. Quackity glared towards him, brows scrunched as he gritted his teeth.

"Are you done?" He hissed out. It was obvious that Quackity needed sleep, along with most of them sitting in the room, but this seemed more important than sleep. "Now, back to what I was saying." He turned towards all of them again. "I broke in, and I started looking for the main computer, since that would have everything on it that I needed. Once I did I planned on getting out, but I ended up seeing Awesome Dude, and he started fighting me.... But he let me go." He looked distant as he explained, eyes foggy as if he was remembering something. He looked sad as he continued. "I got out after that, and I looked at the stuff on the flash drive I had it on and decided I needed to bring people in to help me destroy Pandora's Vault once and for all." All three looked at one another when the winged man said that.

"What was on the flash drive, Quackity?" He looked towards Phil before taking a flash drive out of his pocket.

"I made a lot of copies because I wanted every group I contacted to be able to see it with their own eyes. Look at it after I leave, then decide if you want to help me." They slowly nodded, Philza taking the drive out of Quackity's hand before he continued. "I've already contacted one of the groups, and they have agreed to join."

"Who's the group?" Wilbur asked.

"Bench Trio." All three of them paused, eyes widening at the other villain's words.

"You talked to Bench Trio without them trying to kill you?" Quackity blinked.

"Uh yeah, actually. And even knowing Villains would also be in this group effort they've agreed to join, while also throwing their own ideas into the mix. Like adding Fox and Team Rocket into the mission." Quackity stood, yawning as he did so. "Well, I'm tired so I'm going to crash in your guest room now. Night." With that Quackity was gone, leaving three villains questioning everything.

"Why can't he ever stay out of trouble?" Philza grumbled, slouching further into his seat. Technoblade frowned, looking towards his father before placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder. Quackity was like a brother to Technoblade, since Philza took the role as a father for the young villain. He had been someone always around the house, someone that both Wilbur and himself looked over like they were the older brothers, even though both twins were younger than him by a year.

Although, he doesn't know if Wilbur views him as a brother like Technoblade does. Technoblade looked over towards his twin to see the man looking towards the hallway Quackity had disappeared in. He looked like he was in a distant world, eyes cloudy and unsure. "Let's look at the drive." Technblade mumbles. It had to be important if Bench Trio was willing to join Villains. But first, he wanted to change.

That Morning. . .

Tommy quickly ran down the street, tail swishing behind him as he quickly started buttoning up his shirt. He hadn't meant to sleep in, and once he was shaken awake by a frantic Tubbo he himself started freaking out. He had promised his manager he wouldn't be late anymore, and now only a few days after said promise, he was running out of his apartment with the threat of not making it on time to work. He pushed the hotel's door open with his side, blue eyes meeting His manager, Jack Manifolds, own.

He sat at the front desk looking at Tommy with a raised brow. He was an interesting character, a person with sunglasses with red and blue lenses, usually seen in a buttoned-up shirt (sleeves always rolled up to his elbows) with black dress pants and matching dress shoes. He was strict, something Tommy hated about the man, but he was also a nice guy when you got on his good side. He didn't have any powers, something very unusual to see nowadays, but still, Tommy was intimidated by the manager.

"You're five minutes late." Jack pushed himself off of the front desk as he spoke, walking closer to the employee. Tommy sheepishly smiled, laughing nervously as he walked towards the other as well.

"Well, I slept in on accident an-" Jack held his hand up, an unimpressed frown on his lips as he sighed.

"Save the excuses, I don't have time for it." He sighed disappointingly. "Just get to work, ok?" Tommy quickly nodded, making his way towards the back where the janitors got ready to start the day.

Tommy walked towards the breakroom, scrolling through his Instagram feed as he walked. He paused though, when he heard talking in the said breakroom, eyes looking towards the door as his ears perked. He walked closer, making sure his footsteps were light as he realized who it was on the other side.

"No Niki, I can't go on patrol tonight! I have to work the night shift." Tommy paused. Patrol? "I'm sorry Niki, your gonna have to go one night without me." Tommy was confused, but he tried to ignore it and walked into the breakroom like he hadn't heard anything from his manager's call.

He knew Jack was looking at him when he opened the door but the raccoon ignored him and went straight to the coffee machine. "I've got to go bye." Tommy was pouring coffee when he got the weird question. "So how long were you listening for." Tommy's ears perked at this, head turning towards the other. He looked serious. Arms crossed and leaning against the wall near Tommy. Tommy felt nervous, eyes turning back towards the coffee maker to start adding the cream and sugar.

"What are you talking about?" He asked. The room was quiet for a moment before Jack loomed behind the smaller, now making Tommy scared.

"I know you were listening, I heard your footsteps stop outside the door." Tommy gulped, now looking back towards Jack. He looked scary now, not just intimidating.

"I... just heard the name Niki. That's it." Both paused, the air around them growing even tenser before Jack finally moved away. He made his way to the door, opening it before pausing.

"Word of advice, don't eavesdrop on others. You don't know what it could lead to." Tommy nodded, watching as the manager walked out the door slamming the piece of wood behind him. Tommy couldn't help the nagging feeling that that call had more to it than Tommy was thinking.
