Sorry for this long wait for chapter 4, this story requires a LOT of planning out and thinking and I was stuck for awhile, I had to organize everything. Anyways enjoy!

"Fredrick Moleson made the concept  of subtracting integers, Gottfried not Gotfreed." I was muttering nonsense in the mirror as I pulled at my ponytail, pulling a headband around it to keep stray hairs away, its color was dark green the same color of my crisp uniform, washed and ironed and ready for presenting my school, the practices had gone so fast and I was now heading out the door for our first meet against Cube High, a hard working school but as Captain I'm determined for us to win.
   A horn ripped my thoughts as I jumped to the sound of it, grabbing my bag that contained my notes and snacks I rushed out the door. Outside was none other then Lucy's dark blue Lexus, she saw me coming and smiled revving the car.
   "You look cute!" She adjusted her mirror before pulling the car forward.  "Maybe to catch someone's eye?" Blushing I shook my head.
   "Not everything is about him Luce, I'm not going to deny that I wish he would...look at me but today I am completely teenage dreams shut down."
   "Riiiight, your physo genius girl mode now, forgot." We both let out a laugh. In moments we reached the parking lot of our school, catching sight of our bus that would take us to our meet.
  As we got out I couldn't help but look at Lucy who was wearing the exact same thing as me, only way more curvy and better looking then mine, I sighed as I met up with Jellal at the bus door.
  "Ready?" He asked.
  "Ready as I'll ever be." And got into the bus.

  In 30 minuets we were standing at the foyer of the high school, side by side and stiff straight, everyone's hair was pulled back out of our faces and clean and cool complexions, people passed us whispering to each other walking back.
  Magnolia represented the best and that's what we were gonna give them, just then the host came out, shocking us, it was a complete suprise to see Mavarc standing in front of us.
  "Welcome children! I'm Mavaroc the host for all meets, if you will follow me." He turned away and hurried off catching us off guard and fast walked to where the gym was, as usual the games were staged with two tables, one on opposite sides of a pedal stool, on the tables were name tags of our names.
  The place was filled with parents, professors and other school staff watching for what's to be expected of this year's competition.
   "You lead us."I heard freed whisper, with a slight nod I held my head high walking up to the seats on the floor, for we would go onto stage in a few moments, we all sat down without a word and whispered our notes to ones self.
  "I hope you do well."Lucy whispered, I turned and smiled at her.
  "Thankyou, I'll look at you for confidence, just make sure not to give us answers, people are watching you and would love to disqualify us."
  "Of course Levy, I wont let you down."
  At this that the lights dimmed onto the stage, macarov climbing up and standing on the pedalstool.
  "Welcome everyone! This is 2019's first meet of the FMC,  Fiora Mathmatic competition. I am pleased to welcome you the first teams, Fairy Tail!" Macarov gestures to us as we get up and make our way up the stage, people clapped as we all sat in the seats with our names labled, Freed sat next to me as Co captain and I couldnt be happier about this, for last year I was always the one sitting on the edge farthest from him, I faintly smiled to myself.
  "Please welcome Cube High school!"
  We watched as Mirajane Strauss leads the team up the stage, after her was her brother Elfman, a huge man, then their little sister Lisanna, behind her, Sorano, who was new.
  The kick about them was,  their town is actually terrible, gangs that go by Tartaros roam around their town scaring a lot of people off, the school is quite nice, heres the other thing, they all had white hair, beautiful skin and pale eyes, we were all friends with the team from Cube guild.
  "Heres how this will play out, I will call out a question, after that question you get 45 seconds to respond, right, and the first team to answer correctly gets 2 points, if the team answers wrong the other team gets the remainder of the time to try and get the answer. The team to reach 10 points is claimed winner of this meet." Macarov stroked his beard.
  "As all you must know, this year is different, in studies the term mathmatical is used in 2 different ways, the first is the obvous, algebra, Arithmetic, Geometric and so on, we have used this concept to compete but there is another term of the phrase mathmatical that means puntilious, exact, scientific and accurate, our new executive Laxus, has chosen to show our true wisdom, that and spruce up the competition."
  "If all of you are ready, I will now begin with the questions." He added after a moment.
  I took a long breath, captain, I'm the captain, and as captain I test the waters of the first question, which is a strain but not impossible of course, I looked over at Mira who gave me a sweet smile, I found myself smiling back as the first question popped on our screens.
  "How, does blood become oxygenated." Macarov said in the mic, before my brain even set fire my hand slammed on the button, my buzzer roared in the room and everyone looked at me.
  "The right ventricle pumps blood to the lungs."
  "That is correct! 2 points for Magnolia High school." Claps came from the audience as I got to breath finally, that whole time felt like 30 minutes, but I cant relax, no anyone get a turn at the question, but I have faith in my team.
  "Next question, Siphon will fail to work if."
  A buzzer went off, "The level of liquidation in the two vessels are at the same height." Wendy said, macarov was in a moment shocked as he stated that was correct, again we got 2 points.
  "Next question, a vertical collum has two moments of interia, Lxx and lyy, the column will tend to buckle in the direction of the."
  "Lack of movement in the inertia." It was Lisanna who said in a smooth calm voice. They got 2 points, which was okay.
  "The chief source of nitrogen for green plants i-"
  "Nitrates." Freed said, I found myself grinning happy for his answer, looking over I saw Lucy holding a binder to her mouth but clearly giggling, frowning I got my head back into the game.
  "So far Magonlia has 6 points and Cube has 2, next question. Professor Amartrya Sen is famous in which field?"
  "Electronics!" Yelled Elfman.
  "Sorry that is incorrect, Magonlia you have the time."
  I knew the answer, but true only one that hasent answer was Jellal, I hastily looked at him and he looked at me back, I knew what he wanted and I pressed my own button.
  "Economics."
  "That is correct Mcgarden, 8 points for Magnolia." At that moment all all knew we won.
  Jellal got the last question about midevil mechanics and the crowd applauded us as we got off the stage and was appointed to the back.
  "You did so good!" Lucy ran to me and gave me a big hug then preceded to attack the rest of the team, I laughed and smiled at freed who gave me a proud look.
  "Congrats!" I turned around to see the Cube team, we all shook hands.
  "Mira your getting so tall. I'm gonna miss seeing you at meets." I said, she giggled and patted my head.
  "I think your shrinking hehe, and yeah I'm sad to be graduating but I'll still be in town, when I graduate I'll he a manager at the bar." We continued to talk when Mira caught me looking over at Freed.
  "Levy, you like freed?"
  "What? I cant be that obvious." She giggled.
  "It is to me, you should talk to him about going with you to the Annual Dinner, your a guest star this year." I shuttered.
  "Dont have to tell me twice." I hated the dinner, where all the teams meet up close to the competition for more of heart sake, to get to know each other, most importantly you dress nice and you address alliances with other team members, but this year I really wanted to stand out, this would definitely be the way to go is to ask him. "When is the dinner again?"
  "In a month or 2, since you advanced you get to place in 2 more meets I think? Which are both 2 weeks apart. You'll have plenty of time to ask." She gave me a hug and set off.
  I brushed myself against the wall and sighed, it really was just the beginning of the competition.
